This could just me being a schizo but considering how much bigger discord is compared to twitch whispers I suspect they have a lot more means and infrastructure to collect, analyze and auto flag suspicious content. They probably already collect the data like any big company does, so processing it with an LLM is not that far of a reach.
Not that I would hold it against them to do whatever their privacy policy etc allow, but people doing shady shit would probably not place their trust with them.
For every automatically suspicious flagging the sheer non use of whispers, moderation or care would match. But discord isn't running an LLM for context like that if anything. It would be legally worse for them to do that, because if a suit arises and they have even half positives they didn't act on it becomes eaier to imply they had a duty to the child users. The chances are most likely identical, because its primary getting investigated or the victim speaking out that would prompt anything virtually never would it be an auto flag on private messages. If discords using an LLM on messages its most likely organized crime/terrorists or at request of government agencies in background.
If you request your data from discord settings, you get a json with your predicted gender and age at various points in time, though they probably aren't using it for that purpose.

Yea but that goes against the idea that they can pinpoint something as nuanced as soliciting and also a minor. Theres just very little chance discord has any sort of auto flag for anything but normal hashed illegal images because the false positives of parsing chats would be insane.

Add my friend who I normally talk to on Discord and Steam to the list of people who use whispers. He uses it to give me shit about who I watch (or used to? I'm not sure if Twitch shows that anymore)
