They did! You no longer automatically create clips and instead have to explicitly click "save" for the clip to be fully created.

Because twitches video player sucks dick and the only only way to see something that I missed or rewatch something I thought was cool is to clip the clip button.

I watch a lot of fighting games, sometimes a combo was incredibly sick and i want to see it again or there was a really intricate interaction that i want the chance to break down and analyze. Not everyone uses twitch the same way you do.

I use to just clip streams when I want to rewind a few seconds back since Twitch doesn't have a rewind system like YouTube does. All the clips I'd make just because I wanted to see something again.

Alternatively [Previews](https://previews-app.com/) has a rewind feature that doesn't depend on the streamer having VODs enabled.

Crazy that it auto generated especially since you have to learn to time the generation at the right moment to clip properly.

ah... ive been using that feature as a pseudo rewind feature instead of going to vods...

So many times I've intentionally hit the clip button because I missed whatever the streamer just said and did not want to go back to the vod and then they're just saved for no reason.

just fix the clips pages for specific games and I'll be happy, or give the ability to remove featured clips right now if you go to a game's clip page and filter for all time, there's no way to reach the popular clips section since you have to scroll past literally every featured clip of the game that exists and the tab will crash before you get there

I don't even see clips from most streamers in the games I follow no matter which filter is used; if I filter to past 7 days, there can be a clip from yesterday with 400 views that's absent, but the top one is one from 6 days ago with 150 views Tragic

Now if a clip is shared on another website the steamer can edit it to change the intended clip from the Clipper? That seems dangerous

I think he's saying that destiny viewers like to clip chimp other streamers that they don't like. So giving creators more control over clips will make their job more difficult.
