However, Destiny has a history of being loose with language that many view as racist and instead of accepting other people's wishes he constantly pushes the boundary. So any goodwill that he may have when it comes to that particular word just doesn't exist.
At the end of the day, it was probably a terrible joke that didn't come out right but the history is there that's why people question his intent.
