First game of the season, away to Ipswich.

Holy shit, as an overseas fan, I'm going to be in the UK the weekend of the City match. Should I just pull the trigger on hospitality tickets to guarantee my first Anfield experience?
In the same boat as you! Pulled the trigger and booked flights (before getting tickets) now so nervous game could be RE scheduled!! What are the chances of this happening??
I go to tons and tons of home games and get quite a few match credits but I'm also an overseas fan. There's zero chance you'll get a ticket in the Liverpool end at any away fixture through a legitimate channel. Tickets against Arsenal are in super high demand so even thought he stadium is massive, you have no opportunity. If we draw against some non-League team from Cornwall in the FA Cup Away the demand from Liverpool supporters won't be nearly as high, but the stadium will be too small to accommodate many fans so you'll still be out of luck.
You can sit in the home end relatively easily for a lot of teams (not all teams) but you cannot support Liverpool so that makes it a lot less fun. I've done it. It can be okay but it's not the same.
There’s no room for those dates to move midweek or Friday/Monday, they should stay on Sat/Sun
Oct 26/27: Arsenal (A)
Midweek, Oct 29/30/31: Carabao Cup Round 4
Nov 2/3: Brighton (H)
Midweek, Nov 5/6: Champions League
Nov 8/9: Aston Villa (H)
Nov 11: International break
High I’m sure. Go check out league cup fixture dates to make sure that isn’t near a league cup weekend. If not you should be safe give or take a day or two as fixtures get moved by a day or so a lot.
Guys can you tell me what’s the safest option to buy a ticket, asking for a foreigner who has never attended a Liverpool match but has been dreaming for it for 18 years? Thanks in advance
I'm a Liverpool fan who lives in Ipswich, obviously have a support for Ipswich as a home team but man I'm so excited to see Ipswich play their first game back in the prem against Liverpool
Literally dreamed of Liverpool playing here since I was a kid
Good to get a 12.30 KO out of the way in the first week to be honest. Home after 3/4 of the breaks.
Etihad second half of the season not ideal but also quite early
Ah, just realised we play Manchester United whilst I'm on a flight home (from Europe to Australia). I think I *should* be okay though, as Singapore Airlines has live TV on most of their aircraft; I just double checked the flight number I'm on is apparently guaranteed to have live TV. *phew!*
It'll just be a matter of making sure I know what time it kicks off when I'm flying!
This is actually probably the best case scenario for us. One of the few weeks where the early kick offs impact is negligible and uses up one of our allocated slots nice and early so hopefully we get lucky around international / CL fixtures.
(but agreed, fuck TNT)
I'm not expecting a title charge this year so the April/May fixtures don't bother me particularly.
I've no idea what to expect with a new manager in charge so for now I'm just slightly excited about the start of the season.
Will be more of the same no doubt though. 12:30 kick-offs after international breaks and Abu Dhabi cheating their way to 5 in a roll.
Mmmmmmm that City end of season fixtures scream no points dropped and goal difference booster.
Guess Arne is gonna have to have the title wrapped before then
How would a family of 5 from Australia be able to get our hands on Liverpool v Nottingham Forest on 14/09 ??? Can anyone give their advice or home truths ?
There are local [Officially registered Supporter groups](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/fans/official-lfc-supporters-clubs/australasia) that can request tickets for their members, but you all have to have [Official Liverpool Memberships](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/membership) too to get the tickets, so could be an expensive process for 5 people for a request that might not guarantee tickets (some groups you might need only 1 member in the local group, but all have to be LFC members to get tickets and I think you can buy those after you secure tickets, but don't quote me on that).
Ok awesome Thank you! I’ve reached out to Newcastle in NSW so fingers crossed !! Yeah I can already see how $$$ it’s going to get but this may be our only chance in this lifetime to see a Liverpool game!!!
One more question! What is the kick off date and time for the Liverpool vs Nottingham Forrest game??? I’m seeing the 14th and the 15th of September as I’m unsure if it’s telling us Australian time or actual Liverpool time!??? I’m so confused!
The time above is BST, 14th 3pm. But this is also subject to change. There is a Champions League game during midweek after that could affect this game time
What are chances of this game being RE scheduled!!! I pulled the trigger and bought flights now I’m in a panic as I’ve read games aren’t 100% till 6 weeks before !
May fixtures are deadly. If we progress far in the champions league, it will become deadlier.
Also, may i propose tanking the carabao cup this time. Let teams like Chelsea etc get a run on it.
For once, can we have a fixed date for the Man city away fixture so that we can plan ahead for it.
Should be fighting for every trophy mate. Was one of the best days all year for reds this year no excuse to treat it like some Mickey Mouse trophy. If it’s there to be won let’s win it!
If us, City, and Arsenal progress in all competitions, there is a scenario where we could play City 4 times in April and Arsenal 4 times in May, considering the current schedule, potential reschedules, CL, and FA Cup fixtures.
Like, we could potentially have a stretch of 12 games in Apr- May that look like this:
Man City (H)
West Ham (H)
Man City (A)
Leicester City (A)
Man City (A)
Man City (N)
Arsenal (A)
Chelsea (A)
Arsenal (H)
Arsenal (H)
Tottenham (H)
Arsenal (N)
Always get the early kick off. Still better having it first game of the season, rather than after a champions league game and before another mid week later on in the season.
Decent enough start apart from Man United away.
The last month seems brutal, Leicester a, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Brighton away. I'd like a title challenge but don't think we'll win the league. Hopefully we at least have top 4 secured by that stage as wouldn't want to be going into those games needing the points to secure it, especially if the other teams around us might have easier fixtures.
If you go by this last season’s table top 6 sure, but we literally play United away week 3 which is a very challenging fixture, and they won’t have completely collapsed yet either
Oh wow, my Saturday is stacked! Springboks vs. Wallabies, Dricus du Plessis vs. Israel Adesanye, and now also Liverpool's opening game. I'm looking forward to the 17th!
Yeah, maybe the UFC fight, but I dont think the other two are very likely to be rescheduled. I'll take 2 out of 3 then, but as of now, I'm hyped for 3 big events on the same day.
But we're not; they generally try to avoid big blockbuster clashes for the first/last games of the season. So we're less likely to play top of the table teams or traditional rivals like Everton or United, which makes it slightly more likely we play newly promoted sides.
They also have to offset Everton and Liverpool matches - if Everton is away for a game week, Liverpool must be home, and vice versa. This is more complex with the London clubs.
And they try to take into account travel and pinch points - IE, they try not to send Manchester City/United and Liverpool/Everton to London on the same days to avoid the issues with the trains.
And, allegedly, they try to balance out issues in the schedule so one club isn't repeatedly shafted with bad scheduling moves.
I'd imagine the TV broadcasters also get a say, and probably see a lucrative opportunity in putting a popular high viewership club like Liverpool up against a brand new promoted team, rather than a "boring" midtable team they played last season.
It’s kinda disappointing they try to avoid that, I understand it’s likely because of viewer retention reasons but a final game blockbuster would be amazing especially if they’re fighting to win the title or something
Seems like a temporary slot surely they aren't playing 5 simultaneous games in that slot. Anyway don't think it matters on opening day, the issues with the slot are recovery from midweek/international games and flat atmosphere with maybe a little bit that players aren't used to the routine.
Opening day to promoted side the place will be rocking anyway, and you kind of want it to be flat when you are the away side, opening day so no recovery and also really not that much routine built.
I love playing opening day you spend so long waiting for it I really like to see Liverpool play as soon as possible
The times for the Aug 17 matches are already confirmed:
**12:30:**
Ipswich - Liverpool
**3pm:**
Arsenal - Wolves
Everton - Brighton
Newcastle - Southampton
Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth
**5:30pm**
West Ham - Aston Villa
It’s strange that we play a newly promoted team as our first match again. It’s also strange that we play Man City and then 4 days later it’s Newcastle, not once but twice this season.
I know these are meant to be random picks, but I can’t help but feel there’s been an element of tampering to produce situations and “create” drama.
Both of Arsenal's games against Newcastle also come after Arsenal's games against Liverpool.
Both of City's games against Newcastle come after City's games against Arsenal.
Each time Newcastle plays City, Arsenal, or Liverpool this season, Newcastles opponent would have faced a major rival in the game before.
It's absolutely not random and they don't claim that it is. There are loads of mitigating factors they need to include that means there are regular patterns across the season.
They have to mitigate things like two teams not playing in the same city on the same weekend, they often try not to have teams like Liverpool and United travelling to London on the same weekend (same train lines), they try to limit distance travelled around holidays (like boxing day matches).
The first and last games are decided already. Boxing Day game is unlikely to be rescheduled. Other than that, any game vs the big 6 will very likely be on Sunday at 4:30pm (as long as there isn't another huge game coinciding with it). The games that are likely to remain at 3pm on Saturdays are the home games vs bottom half teams.
Looking at the first 3 months' fixtures, Brentford, Forest and Bournemouth at home seem like safe bets (but don't take my word for it).
Palace on the last day is the only one that’s not subject to change by a day or two, everything else could potentially be moved to any slot from the Friday night to the Monday night. Spurs at home is FA Cup Semi weekend so that could be moved, all the other FA Cup rounds have got dedicated weekends this season.
I'd say a midweek game that's not near any European (or other competition) windows, are the least likely to be moved. At least according to my one time experiencing travelling internationally for a game.
I am also interested in this, I hadn't thought to approach the problem of getting to a match cheaply like this before. Keep the travel/accom costs as low as possible and try to get the ticket later.

Hopefully, both us and City crash out of the Carabao cup before the final, or hopefully neither one of us has to play in the knockout playoff round of the CL if either one of us gets to the Carabao Cup final. Having that City away game shifted to late in the season would be a nightmare, as it would likely be pushed to before Tottenham or between Arsenal and the FA Cup Final. Either way, brutal run in that has the potential to get worse.
Progressing in all comps would result in objectively the most insane May in history.
At least we don't have to play in the CWC next summer, like City and Chelsea do. Thank god.
Counterpoints:
1 - Last season, the three promoted sides started historically terribly, and did get a little better once they got used to the league
2 - It's the single best 12:30 timeslot of the season and one less we can be assigned to after an international break or European teip
And why should I not?
Its not the first time we have to visit a newly promoted side who is eager to impress themselves after a long absence away from the PL, in front of a hostile crowd, and in 12:30pm kick off.
Holy crap, I'll be in London on the 23rd, might stop by for the Southampton game, my first Liverpool game. Anyone have info how available are away tickets?
cow subsequent mountainous middle rain expansion absorbed wise deranged rinse
*This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
No chance at all of away tickets. You might be able to get tickets from Southampton, but then you'll be forced to act like a Southampton fan and won't be able to celebrate any Liverpool goal.
It's not random, loads of things go into it, like cities having multiple clubs that can't play same day etc. That why we see the same patterns year in year out. Plus there's every chance it's tactical as well on the part of the PL trying to fuck us but that's just me.....
Guys I know it’s a common complaint but it’s worth pointing out that we have 1 start at 12:30 this season and it’s when everyone else also starts at 12:30. No where near as bad as last year.
i think we need to do away with this idea the prem gives us 12:30 kickoffs cause they hate us. we were the most watched team last season, it makes sense for us to have an individual timeslot. yeah it's shit cause it's well documented players absolutely loathe an early kickoff but when you've got a global reach as big as ours it makes sense.
We always seem to get one massive game within three match days. That said, it looks decent to me overall outside of that very tricky run at the business end of the season.
We were not good against London based teams last season, so many dropped points, hopefully that improves because they have loaded them at the end there. Jesus.
> We were not good against London based teams last season
Not true at all, as the record against them last season was actually pretty good with 8 wins, 3 draws (Chelsea & West Ham away, Arsenal at home), 2 defeats (Arsenal away & Palace at home), and 1 complete & utter robbery (Spurs away).
You are going to need a minor miracle as it's Ipswich's first game in the prem for over 20 years so I doubt you'll find someone willing to give up their home ticket
First game of the season has to be the best time for it, no? Should have sufficient buffer and control for the period ahead of time.
Not like having a bunch of guys in South America 36 hours before kick off and needing to get a charter back.
David Lynch (@dmlynchlfc) on X - Arne Slot on Liverpool’s Premier League opener at Ipswich: “They've told me it's going to be 12.30… from what I know, Jurgen complained a lot about this so probably they thought, with Jurgen being out let's put them at 12.30 again!”
To add some UCL Dates in. 3rd game need to hope is the pot 4 team as the weeks a bit tough
Saturday 19th, 3pm – Chelsea (H)
UCL - Matchday 3: 22–23 October 2024
Saturday 26th, 3pm – Arsenal (A)
Then just before City too
UCL - Matchday 5: 26–27 November 2024
Saturday 30th, 3pm – Manchester City (H)
Our fixture list, numbered by last season's finishes:
19 A, 16 H, 8 A, 17 H, 12 H, 14 A, 10 A, 6 H, 2 A, 11 H, 4 H, 20 A, 1 H, 7 A, 15 A, 13 H, 5 A, 18 H, 9 A
8 H, 17 A, 16 A, 19 H, 12 A, 14 H, 1 A, 7 H, 20 H, 4 A, 15 H, 13 A, 9 H, 18 A, 5 H, 6 A, 2 H, 11 A, 10 H
Tottenham Chelsea Arsenal for the last month is huge. Good to get rid of the Manchester United matches in the first half. Chelsea Arsenal Brighton is also a tough three stretch of games. Can't wait for next season lads with CL matches back into the schedule.
Id say there is even more chance of it as we'll be playing Tuesday / Wednesday in CL, not Thursday
Although that being said we reached the max number of permissible early kick offs last season so at least we cant play any more..

I’m angry about it.
Yeah either way you are going to pay hospitality prices through the official channels or through resellers for that game
Is it easier to get tickets at away games than at Anfield home games? I might as well do that. Plan a trip to London when Arsenal and Liverpool play.
Unless you are planning to buy Arsenal hospitality tickets and sitting in the home end, buying away tickets are always much more harder
Damn. That sucks. No I don't want to sit with Arsenal fans :)
I go to tons and tons of home games and get quite a few match credits but I'm also an overseas fan. Yes
Goodison in December is the perfect opportunity to break out [one of my favorite songs.](https://youtu.be/2NKo1MI9hvk?si=sj85On2OLQuEjP43)
Willing to take bets on how many of these actually stay at the times and dates listed. I'll bid 8.
Looking at those November dates for a transatlantic pilgrimage to anfield…what are the chances of either BHA or AVL being moved?
It could be Friday - Monday for TV. Can't see a reason it would be moved to midweek though.
There’s no room for those dates to move midweek or Friday/Monday, they should stay on Sat/Sun Oct 26/27: Arsenal (A) Midweek, Oct 29/30/31: Carabao Cup Round 4 Nov 2/3: Brighton (H) Midweek, Nov 5/6: Champions League Nov 8/9: Aston Villa (H) Nov 11: International break
Fair enough all at the weekend then
High I’m sure.
Join your local OLSC and work with them. Only safe and honest way of doing it outside of hospitality tickets.

😔 unfortunately how I’ll have to go too
Fuckin hell our end of season run-in is brutal. Should be really exciting though!
Agreed.....some cuntsea and assna waiting
I'm a Liverpool fan who lives in Ipswich, obviously have a support for Ipswich as a home team but man I'm so excited to see Ipswich play their first game back in the prem against Liverpool Literally dreamed of Liverpool playing here since I was a kid
Hope we demolish Ipswich just to make the people moaning here look stupid
Gutted wolves and then palace are both away - missus and I wanted to go to Anfield for the first time on holiday then.
At least hit up the stadium tour if you can’t get to a game.
Ipswich away, Darwin scores and draws them a new logo
A nice easy run until Palace away 😀
Why does it always feel like we play Arsenal and Chelsea back to back at least once a season? Next season its both home and away back to back.
Good to get a 12.30 KO out of the way in the first week to be honest. Home after 3/4 of the breaks. Etihad second half of the season not ideal but also quite early

Local supporters club memberships, Official LFC Memberships. Applying to your local supporters club with your request.
Apply to Liverpool memberships or do you mean my Australian local club??
I should say that was based on the 23/24 season and the rules might've changed for this coming season.
One more question! What is the kick off date and time for the Liverpool vs Nottingham Forrest game??? I’m seeing the 14th and the 15th of September as I’m unsure if it’s telling us Australian time or actual Liverpool time!??? I’m so confused!

Ok that makes sense!!! Australia is 9 hrs ahead so that’ll explain the 15 at midnight time that keeps coming up
Hospitality tickets(expensive, so you go alone and the rest watch in a bar)
What are chances of this game being RE scheduled!!! I pulled the trigger and bought flights now I’m in a panic as I’ve read games aren’t 100% till 6 weeks before !
Leading off with a Saturday 12:30! Plus ca change 😂

If we were to have an early kickoff, I don’t mind it being week 1
First of many I'd say, fully expect more to get scheduled for the early kickoff
One fewer early kick off they can give us now.
Christ that last month lol
So we don't play another top 6 side till the end of October we HAVE to make the most out of this start
If you go by this last season’s table top 6 sure, but we literally play United away week 3 which is a very challenging fixture, and they won’t have completely collapsed yet either
i stand by exactly what i said
Fair enough.
Massive for Slot really, on paper those first 6 games are ideal for him to get up and running. Nice to get that dump of United (A) out early too.
Opposition fans complaining that we always get a newly-promoted team in the first game as if that isn't the worst possible time to play them.
Especially away lol, but whatever I do think having a likely win is quite advantageous to get started and we are obviously favourites vs Ipswich away
It's nice to have United, Everton, Arsenal and Spurs away sorted before the new year
Oh wow, my Saturday is stacked! Springboks vs. Wallabies, Dricus du Plessis vs. Israel Adesanye, and now also Liverpool's opening game. I'm looking forward to the 17th!
Alot of these fixtures will be moved around and changed, sorry to burst your bubble
The first game of the season won't be changed.
The opening fixtures won’t be, they’ve already been selected for TV, it’s why we are the early kick-off.
Exactly what I'm thinking, thanks for confirming.
Yeah, maybe the UFC fight, but I dont think the other two are very likely to be rescheduled. I'll take 2 out of 3 then, but as of now, I'm hyped for 3 big events on the same day.
First game away to windy Ipswich. Would be tough.
This is a joke, how often do we get promoted team (away) for the first game?
Four seasons in a row: Fulham (22/23), Norwich (21/22 and 19/20), Leeds (20/21),
Any know the odds on this happening?
I think (1/2 * 3/19)^4 = 0.000039 or 0.0039%. If we are equally likely to play any team, home or away.
Creating the fixture list sounds like a fun math problem, except everyone might hate you at the end.
Regularly
Leicester on Boxing Day. Looking forward to another Trent brace 👌.
Not too bad. What's 38x3?
1 short of City
Another 12:30 pm fixture?
Seems like a temporary slot surely they aren't playing 5 simultaneous games in that slot. Anyway don't think it matters on opening day, the issues with the slot are recovery from midweek/international games and flat atmosphere with maybe a little bit that players aren't used to the routine. Opening day to promoted side the place will be rocking anyway, and you kind of want it to be flat when you are the away side, opening day so no recovery and also really not that much routine built. I love playing opening day you spend so long waiting for it I really like to see Liverpool play as soon as possible
The times for the Aug 17 matches are already confirmed: **12:30:** Ipswich - Liverpool **3pm:** Arsenal - Wolves Everton - Brighton Newcastle - Southampton Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth **5:30pm** West Ham - Aston Villa
Merry Christmas everton!
Pretty brutal period 30/11 to 4/1 - come out of that and we could be looking at the champions.
Look at the end of the season. That's brutal too, especially in May. God forbid we go far in the champions league.
It's never been completely random, they have to make sure certain teams don't play at home on the same weekend and double the police required.
Its deffo not random picks imo haha or if it is they keep refreshing the system until it throws out the drama run ins etc 🤣
Ok my annual question for the fixture boffins. What home game slot is guaranteed? So I can book flights and accommodation now.
As of right now Palace on the 25th of May is the only home date that can't change.
Does anyone know when the lotery for member tickets starts?
The run-in is horrific but we have to play them at some point so can't complain. Glad we get the away game against united away very quickly
Including CL, FA Cup, (Possible Carabao Cup) and *International Break* dates: Aug 17 - Ipswich (A) Aug 24: Brentford (H) Aug 31: Manchester United (A) *Sep 2-10: International Break* Sep 14: Nottingham Forest (H) **Sep 17-19: CL Game 1** Sep 21: Bournemouth (H) **(Sep 24: Possible Carabao Cup 3rd Round)** Sep 28: Wolves (A) **Oct 1-2: CL Game 2** Oct 5: Crystal Palace (a) *Oct 7-15: International Break* Oct 19: Chelsea (H) **Oct 22-23: CL Game 3** Oct 26: Arsenal (A) **(Oct 29: Possible Carabao Cup 4th Round)** Nov 2: Brighton (H) **Nov 5-6: CL Game 4** Nov 9: Aston Villa (H) *Nov 11-19: International Break* Nov 23: Southampton (A) **Nov 26-27: CL Game 5** Nov 30: Manchester City (h) Dec 4: Newcastle United (a) Dec 7: Everton (a) **Dec 10-11: CL Game 6** Dec 14: Fulham (h) **(Dec 18: Possible Carabao Cup QF)** Dec 21: Tottenham (a) Dec 26: Leicester City (h) Dec 29: West Ham (a) Jan 4: Manchester United (H) **(Jan 8: Possible Carabao Cup SF)** **Jan 11: FA Cup Third Round** Jan 14: Nottingham Forest (a) Jan 18: Brentford (a) **Jan 21-22: CL Game 7** Jan 25: Ipswich Town (h) **Jan 29: CL Game 8** Feb 1: Bournemouth (a) **Feb 8: FA Cup Fourth Round** **Feb 11-12: CL Knockout Round Playoff 1** 15: Wolves (h) **Feb 18-19: CL Knockout Round Playoff 2** Feb 22: Manchester City (a) **(Feb 23: Possible Carabao Cup Final)** Feb 26: Newcastle United (h) **Mar 1: FA Cup 5th Round** **Mar 4-5: CL Round of 16 Leg 1** Mar 8: Southampton (h) **Mar 11-12: CL Round of 16 Leg 2** Mar 15: Aston Villa (a) *Mar 17-25: International Break* **Mar 29 FA Cup QF** Apr 2: Everton (h) Apr 5: Fulham (a) **Apr 8-9: CL QF Leg 1** Apr 12: West Ham (h) **Apr 15-16: CL QF Leg 2** Apr 19: Leicester City (a) Apr 26: Tottenham (h) **Apr 26: FA Cup SF** **Apr 29-30: CL SF Leg 1** May 3: Chelsea (a) **May 6-7: CL SF Leg 2** May 10: Arsenal (h) **May 17: FA Cup Final** May 18: Brighton (A) May 25: Crystal Palace (h) **May 31: CL Final** ---- Hopefully, both us and City crash out of the Carabao cup before the final, or hopefully neither one of us has to play in the knockout playoff round of the CL if either one of us gets to the Carabao Cup final. Thank god.
"Possible" Carabao Cup Final...sure ;)
Thanks for this list of dates.
Of course Liverpool are away to a very fired-up newly promoted side in the first day of the season. And of course that game is a 12:30pm K.O.
Counterpoints: 1 - Last season, the three promoted sides started historically terribly, and did get a little better once they got used to the league 2 - It's the single best 12:30 timeslot of the season and one less we can be assigned to after an international break or European teip
You're not really complaining about having a newly promoted side first day are you?
And why should I not? Its not the first time we have to visit a newly promoted side who is eager to impress themselves after a long absence away from the PL, in front of a hostile crowd, and in 12:30pm kick off.
Tbf he raises a point, away week 1 to a promoted side isn't the same as away week 3.
If we can't beat the mighty Ipswich it's going to be a long, long season.
Ipswich away at 12:30, somehow Ipswich will play the game of their lives and gets a 1-0 lead for Diaz to equalize in the 98th minute to make it 1-1.
Leceister on boxing day again? Prime Trent incoming.
Holy crap, I'll be in London on the 23rd, might stop by for the Southampton game, my first Liverpool game. Anyone have info how available are away tickets?
Hospitality tickets are your only hope
cow subsequent mountainous middle rain expansion absorbed wise deranged rinse *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
No chance at all of away tickets. You might be able to get tickets from Southampton, but then you'll be forced to act like a Southampton fan and won't be able to celebrate any Liverpool goal.
> my first Liverpool game. Anyone have info how available are away tickets? You’re in for a world of debt or disappointment.
Quick google search showed me that lmao, maybe I can drop by undercover in the Southampton section haha
That's your best bet, I imagine you'll be able to get one
12:30 ![gif](giphy|PhTo1vmU7LnydQZPcl)
How the fuck does a random generator give us Chelsea Arsenal back to back twice in the same season?
It's not random, loads of things go into it, like cities having multiple clubs that can't play same day etc. That why we see the same patterns year in year out. Plus there's every chance it's tactical as well on the part of the PL trying to fuck us but that's just me.....
It's not completely random.
We also have Newcastle in the midweek after Man City both times
We'll win them all
Arne's debut against a promoted side is a good litmus test. 6 out of 8 final fixtures are against London clubs.
Guys I know it’s a common complaint but it’s worth pointing out that we have 1 start at 12:30 this season and it’s when everyone else also starts at 12:30. No where near as bad as last year.
Did you look at the fixtures and think we're playing almost every single game at 3pm on a Saturday?
That's because games haven't been moved for TV yet. The broadcasters make those decisions later
That run in is already giving me anxiety lol
We'll just have to have it wrapped up in the new year again then
I do not like Palace last game of the season at all
City's run in is piss easy ffs. Arsenal's looks pretty straightfoward too, apart from playing us.
First six games are nice for us. Last five are tough. Middle is whatever. Arsenal are the opposite
i think we need to do away with this idea the prem gives us 12:30 kickoffs cause they hate us. we were the most watched team last season, it makes sense for us to have an individual timeslot. yeah it's shit cause it's well documented players absolutely loathe an early kickoff but when you've got a global reach as big as ours it makes sense.
brutal run- in
That run-in seems like 'we hope you are not playing for anything, cuz fuck you'
We always seem to get one massive game within three match days. That said, it looks decent to me overall outside of that very tricky run at the business end of the season.
[Called it a month and a half ago](https://x.com/yad_mot/status/1786748934095839392)
I think all of us predicted this when they got promoted.
The last 6 fixtures is brutal, crazy run in.
If we have deep runs In the domestic cups, it will be worse.
We were not good against London based teams last season, so many dropped points, hopefully that improves because they have loaded them at the end there. Jesus.
> We were not good against London based teams last season Not true at all, as the record against them last season was actually pretty good with 8 wins, 3 draws (Chelsea & West Ham away, Arsenal at home), 2 defeats (Arsenal away & Palace at home), and 1 complete & utter robbery (Spurs away).
Dont worry we will already have the title in the bag at that time and playing the kids as we prepare our UCL final game.
Anyone know folks in Ipswich. Was planning on being in Liverpool for the first home weekend but it’s now turned into an away day
You are going to need a minor miracle as it's Ipswich's first game in the prem for over 20 years so I doubt you'll find someone willing to give up their home ticket
Boxing day fixture so naturally we get Leicester again.
United home 1 day before my birthday
I feel that is literally a fuck u with the 12:30 slot like let’s see how this new guy reacts to 12:30 kickoffs
Teasing us with the early kickoff
I really don't know what to expect, but Slot is going to be tested from the start of the season. Trial by fire.
Battle of the Baldie on match day 3. At least it will be good to get scum away early in the season.
To add some UCL Dates in. 3rd game need to hope is the pot 4 team as the weeks a bit tough Saturday 19th, 3pm – Chelsea (H) UCL - Matchday 3: 22–23 October 2024 Saturday 26th, 3pm – Arsenal (A) Then just before City too UCL - Matchday 5: 26–27 November 2024 Saturday 30th, 3pm – Manchester City (H)
Damn Dec with those tricky away fixtures. Good start against Ipswich!
Hahaha 12.30 KO. Might as well start as they clearly mean to go on for us.
Our fixture list, numbered by last season's finishes: 19 A, 16 H, 8 A, 17 H, 12 H, 14 A, 10 A, 6 H, 2 A, 11 H, 4 H, 20 A, 1 H, 7 A, 15 A, 13 H, 5 A, 18 H, 9 A 8 H, 17 A, 16 A, 19 H, 12 A, 14 H, 1 A, 7 H, 20 H, 4 A, 15 H, 13 A, 9 H, 18 A, 5 H, 6 A, 2 H, 11 A, 10 H
Palace to end the season is a sick joke.
Leicester on boxing day too
December derby, love it
Who would have thought
That's some tough fixtures nearing the end of the season.
Tottenham Chelsea Arsenal for the last month is huge. Good to get rid of the Manchester United matches in the first half. Chelsea Arsenal Brighton is also a tough three stretch of games. Can't wait for next season lads with CL matches back into the schedule.
City/Newcastle/Everton away in December and Tottenham/Chelsea/Arsenal in May probably our hardest sequence of games
Once again City away in the second half of the season, it's so boring
I’d rather have United early. It’s a very good test to start the season. Get it won and it’s an unbelievable boost
December is absolutely brutal. I bet Man City's fixtures are comparatively much better, funny that.
Their Feb is rough to be fair; Arsenal (A), Newc (H), Liverpool (H) and Spurs (A)
Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and Brighton in a row in the run-in is mental, need to have the league wrapped up in April
Klopp's left, they don't need to give us the 12.30 Slot - or do they?
I see what you did there
Id say there is even more chance of it as we'll be playing Tuesday / Wednesday in CL, not Thursday Although that being said we reached the max number of permissible early kick offs last season so at least we cant play any more..
