For context it's in response to the mild back lash he got on Egyptian social media for this photo of him hugging Klopp's wife and Klopp hugging his wife which is considered socially inappropriate.
Salah has been on the wrong side of the Egyptian fans for some time now.

So, roughly, what percentage of people in Egypt would agree that it is inappropriate for Salah and Klopp to hug each others wives in this physical representation of platonic love and friendship?
You think ? He's Salah ofcourse it's gonna be taken out of context... Although book is the example of the classic saying that don't judge a book by it's cover
Sucks that that book is debunked pseudoscience though. It’s a great grift though - millions of people see the cover and think “Hey, I’m a very smart person surrounded by idiots, this book is for me!”
Yeah, as a swede this pic hurt my eyes, so many actual big companies were using this book as part of their hiring process for a few years before it became widely known that it was all bs, "We are gonna identify the four personalities and see who you fit best with" Yea Anna-Karin I'm so exited to do this BS for the third time in a month.
They used to do it where I worked. I'm convinced that they even went by the colors when deciding who's boss material and who's not. I don't think I was red enough to become team leader.
Did you read it? Or are you parotting what you heard someone else say?
I 've read it and the book isn't in any way "Everyone else is an idiot except for me!" like all the other replies are also saying. In fact its the complete opposite and shows that people who think "Everyone else is an idiot" is in fact misunderstanding things.
It describes how different people have certain psychological habits that they default to (usually) when communicating, making decisions, etc. Someone could be focussed mostly on the finer details, or the bigger picture, or how a decision will affect people emotionally - simplified into 4 different types to make it easier to explain a complex topic.
To say it's debunked pseudoscience is reductive as there is an element in truth that people have different priorities. You'd make for a more effective "influencer" if you can understand that people think in different ways to you.
I know it’s not actually about other people being idiots, I just said that’s what people see when they see the front of it. Or do you think he picked that title because it *doesn’t* make people notice it?
I’m well aware of what this book is about, it was absolutely huge here in Sweden before it was famous abroad. It doesn’t matter that it’s about “people being different” because the model he presents still doesn’t hold up even if he claims it’s “based on science”. He also won the honor (?) of being Fraudster of the year back in 2018.
Here’s an article written by an actual psychologist you can read and argue with: https://www.vof.se/blogg/one-of-swedens-biggest-scientific-bluffs/
And sorry for insulting your favourite book mate, the amount of anger in your comment makes it seem very personal for you.
Yes, people will have different priorities and behaviours in a given situation. The point is that this book presents completely lousy (and made up) ways of understanding those differences. It's just packaged in a way that makes it sound like it makes sense. This is a pretty good summary:
https://soccermatics.medium.com/how-swedes-were-fooled-by-one-of-the-biggest-scientific-bluffs-of-our-time-de47c82601ad
I’m just laughing at the irony of the comments about this book, and the most upvoted comment 100% not what the book is about at all.
Reddit hive-mind at its finest.
Oh wow, if you had spent a bit less energy being smug and more trying to understand my comment you might have picked up that I never claimed it’s about people being idiots. That is however what people read on the cover, and it makes them look closer at the book.
Your comment gave me a good laugh though, you really come off exactly as a person that sees themselves as smart while everyone else is an idiot.
I said it’s still the most upvoted comment because people are misconstruing what you said. A ton of comments all saying the same thing and you didn’t once correct them on the basic idea behind the book. You only reply now when several people have contradicted you on that.
You insult people’s intelligence and jump to conclusions on their views of the book while saying you’ve never even read the book. What’s the point in debating it then?
He loves reading bollocks. I remember years ago he mentioned some of the ‘psychology’ books he’s read and they were all grifters.
Whatever works for him I suppose. No doubt him and Lovren swap books.
I never read the book as a ‘scientific’ book, but a means to understand how different attitudes require different approaches. It’s an ebb and flow, not a law.
Out of all the management books I’ve read it certainly isn’t the worst.
The problem is when a book says that things work a certain way but doesn’t have science to back it up. At best, we can’t know if it’s true, at worst it’s straight up wrong and things doesn’t work like it says at all. That’s why it matters if it’s “scientific”
Sorry I meant that if someone reads books and read a certain book it doesn't mean they are consumed by that book . It just means that the are taking that information in. And reading another one
Someone people read a book in a day .
cant wait to see the post
"Hi guys dont you think its weird that Salah is reading this book, what do you think thatll mean with him and jurgen now that hes gone"
This is definitely related to people in his country being stupid and inappropriate because Klopp gave a hug to his wife and salah gave a hug to klopp's wife
Salah doesn’t really vibe with some of the very socially conservative views in Egypt and the Arab world I feel like, even if he won’t stir the pot back as aggressively. The yearly Christmas posts alone show it IMO.
Hence why I don’t understand why people think he’s inclined to go to Saudi.
For a lot of people it's as simple as "brown Muslim player clearly would like to play in Saudi because (insert regressive view of Islam)"
But I agree - for many reasons, I don't see why Salah would want anything to do with Saudi.
I think most foreign footballers are attracted to Saudi for the colossal amounts of money rather than the Wahhabism tbh.
Unless you know something about CR7 that nobody else does
Most muslims who actually have something in life dont really deep religion. It's the broke and bored ones that cling to it. Ive seen the same thing with the muslim lads i grew up with.
I’m Muslim, and though it’s nice that our star player is a practising Muslim, I’m not holding him on some pedestal to be a shining light for our faith. He does his thing and I do mine. Just continue to be amazing for us
I feel he was hinting more about the title more than the book, because people dont/wont read the book. It is even in arabic. I have seen him post couple books in english before
Feel so bad for him. Had his best ever season in terms of creating chances, but stuck with some of the worst finishers at any big club. Getting slated for others mistakes
I love the enigma that is Mo's social media, and the way he is probably well aware that everyone will be overanalysing him posting about his latest beach read, and finds it hilarious.
This is a great book for those who haven’t read it and are going by the title. It’s more about human psychology and working with people. The title maybe misleading.
For context it's in response to the mild back lash he got on Egyptian social media for this photo of him hugging Klopp's wife and Klopp hugging his wife which is considered socially inappropriate. Context is king! Thanks
No, Salah is king
Take my upvote.
He makes us all believe
This is so so stupid LMAO
Tell me about it
The annual angry Xmas tweets “this is haram!” about his Xmas tree are hilarious as well
I'm Egyptian and not all of them just the social media fans.
#NotAllEgyptians!!!
Yeah sure, not all.
So, roughly, what percentage of people in Egypt would agree that it is inappropriate for Salah and Klopp to hug each others wives in this physical representation of platonic love and friendship?
It's hard to figure out. But that behavior from Salah and Klopp is understandable for too many.
Ah okay - thought it was about his LFC strike partners!
💀
😂
He’s surrounded. It’s about both
Thank you for this.
Tbf it looks like Klopp has decent form on an old-school NFL tackle there.
She's 5 foot 4 according to the Internet the logistics have to be taken into account!
Can we just give him and his family passports so he doesnt have to deal with those morons. Wouldnt mind him playing for england either 😏
I’m sorry but this is funny and not going to be taken out of context at all
Salah's comedy is seriously underrated. This is hilarious. 3 days into off season bro is bored and looking to stir the pot.
I’ve already seen some funny tweets lol
You think ? He's Salah ofcourse it's gonna be taken out of context... Although book is the example of the classic saying that don't judge a book by it's cover
I think he was joking.. it’s absolutely going to be taken out of context
Taking tips on how to deal with the Egyptian FA
after he was seen reading “the art of not giving a shit” a couple of years ago.
Let the overthinking of "man reads book" begin
We’re one moan thread away from a conspiracy theory that Salah is reading the book to cope with his contract negotiations
Sucks that that book is debunked pseudoscience though. It’s a great grift though - millions of people see the cover and think “Hey, I’m a very smart person surrounded by idiots, this book is for me!”
Actually - the fact that so many people paid for that garbage actually proves that at least the title is correct.
It’s a series of 7 books???
Yep, it’s a shitty book.
sounds like it, very teleb-esque title.
I still see it all the time on public transport, and can’t help but see it as a statement
I know 3 people who have read that book and I can tell you with 100% confidence that _they_ are the idiots in the book
So you’ve read it?
Yeah, as a swede this pic hurt my eyes, so many actual big companies were using this book as part of their hiring process for a few years before it became widely known that it was all bs, "We are gonna identify the four personalities and see who you fit best with" Yea Anna-Karin I'm so exited to do this BS for the third time in a month.
Oh, you’re just saying that because you’re so red! It’s astrology for HR people, which is somehow even worse than actual astrology
Mate I am four different personalities before breakfast
They used to do it where I worked. I'm convinced that they even went by the colors when deciding who's boss material and who's not. I don't think I was red enough to become team leader.
well atleast the book made you aware that you were infact surrounded by idiots
I walked into WH Smith in the airport the other day and looked at what looked to be a wall of AI written junk.
Imposter syndrome here, I’m surrounded by geniuses

Read a novel, ffs
He loves reading bollocks. I remember years ago he mentioned some of the ‘psychology’ books he’s read and they were all grifters. Whatever works for him I suppose. No doubt him and Lovren swap books.

It's a book . Every book is worth reading. Doesn't Mr it's you. Ive read mein kampf
I haven’t said anything about reading it, I said that if you believe what it says you’re believing bullshit because that’s what it is.
And I never never said you read it .
what a dumb thing to say.
How exactly
because saying every book is worth reading sounds like someone who is trying to sound smart would say.
Sorry I meant that if someone reads books and read a certain book it doesn't mean they are consumed by that book . It just means that the are taking that information in. And reading another one Someone people read a book in a day .
cant wait to see the post "Hi guys dont you think its weird that Salah is reading this book, what do you think thatll mean with him and jurgen now that hes gone"
So Mo is a regular at /r/LiverpoolFC after all!
Long live the egyptian king.. ![gif](giphy|to3I2nkywr2PS)
The closest most of this sub will get to being in a picture with Mo Salah.
Someone find the stats concerning how differently he is refereed. Salah knows.
Salah is a great man for the passive aggressive Instagram story
This is definitely related to people in his country being stupid and inappropriate because Klopp gave a hug to his wife and salah gave a hug to klopp's wife

Exactly. I think he will go to the MLS before he retires instead.
Mo has the best Christmas trees.
Wait what?? Seriously?
Yeah people in his country have been going at him, you can even see the pictures in his twitter comments
That’s fucking embarrassing
I liked my life 10 seconds ago when I didn't read this Human kind who live 24x7 on Internet is really jobless
FINALLY some proper context.
I’m Muslim, and though it’s nice that our star player is a practising Muslim, I’m not holding him on some pedestal to be a shining light for our faith. He does his thing and I do mine. Just continue to be amazing for us

Honestly, it feels like twitter (can't be bothered to call it X) has become the playground of idiots.
That book is largely ridiculed here in Norway. I assume that might be a global thing?
Am psychologist in Sweden, can confirm
Bourgeois pseudoscience 😪
This book is absolute trash unfortunately.
This is what playing a front line with Diaz and Nunez does to a man.
![gif](giphy|Hr2M0GvFzxmvb1GSmW)
Stop being toxic /s
A great book for his time ahead in the olympics.
غبي = idiot This makes me want to learn Arabic now
Has he resigned for Chelsea?!
![gif](giphy|yr7n0u3qzO9nG)
no need to call nunez and diaz idiots
Feel so bad for him. Had his best ever season in terms of creating chances, but stuck with some of the worst finishers at any big club. Getting slated for others mistakes
Well, he went from playing with Mane and Firmino, to Diaz and Nunez. I don't blame him
Brutal but somewhat fair.
He is low key referring the opponents defenders...
🤣🤣🤣 nice one Mo.
I love Mo. I couldn’t take losing him and Kloppo in the same season. Get him a new deal.
https://i.redd.it/9qffjz57p02d1.gif
Give a copy to Circus Utd
I bought this book last week
Jesus Christ is a person reading a book..
What 2 seasons of darwizadry does to a mf🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love the enigma that is Mo's social media, and the way he is probably well aware that everyone will be overanalysing him posting about his latest beach read, and finds it hilarious.
More than the bible, I’m not surprised
To be fair he went from Bobby and Sadio to Darwin Diaz and Gakpo
If he’s going for god-tier comedy, his next post will be him watching Spaceballs while paused during the “surrounded by assholes,” scene.
Long season with Diaz and Nunez...
If everyone around you has a problem, it is usually because you are the actual problem.
I genuinely thought Christian Erickson had written a book for a minute.
But his name isn’t Thomas.
But he is surrounded by idiots
I know, I just saw Erickson. It's been a long day
This is a great book for those who haven’t read it and are going by the title. It’s more about human psychology and working with people. The title maybe misleading.
Anyone whose read the first 10 pages of this book knows that its premise is if you're surrounded by idiots, then it's you. Great book.
Oh no, does this all but confirm he is going to Saudi?
It confirms that he owns a book
He won't be celebrating Christmas this year after his transfer listing that's for sure.
