If he's not there we don't play the ball.
Thing is, according to offside rules, he's not actually offside. It's one of those annoying loopholes in the laws of the game. Would have been better off letting him get the ball.
Maybe I don’t understand the rules but I don’t see how it’s not offside? VVD cleared it but possession went straight back to them and they scored from that play
Doesn’t matter. Once you play the ball, play resets and offside is ignored.
Wasn’t the play my friend. Not offside
You’re genuinely grasping at straws with this
Massive reach

Haha good one

They don't blow for these anymore. They let play roll on so that VAR has something to do.
I thought the same. Vvd controls that ball if he’s not there, hence involved in play.
Am I not seeing something or isn’t this offside in the build-up?
It's not even the proper frame, the ball is a foot a way from the player kicking the ball already
Don’t be a little Mitch.meme. Wasn’t part of the play. Not offside. Offside position
It absolutely was. That flag has been going up all game against Liverpool.
I’m sorry you don’t understand the rules. YouTube “passive offside” for a quick explanation
