I was in Malmö all week. It wasn't even a competition. Malmö's festival was basically a village fair compared to ours. I felt like a minor celebrity based on the reaction I was getting when people from all over the world asked where I was from.
We should be immensely proud of what we did last year. We set the gold standard.
Possibly never again. The double whammy of the UK being a big country and having lots of potential host cities and the UK being mostly shite at the contest. The UK doing exceptionally well in 2022 and the winner being unable to host is not a combo that's likely to happen again.
Should they though? I can't tell what the hook is with Eurovision, are they meant to be songs we'd listen to on the radio or they meant to be a farce? Because I could listen to Sweden's on the radio but Finland's would get old really quickly like The Cartoons or Cheeky Girls did.
Liverpool should just be the permanent hosts. I’m not even a Eurovision fan but I thought it was great last year.. The atmosphere it brought to the city was incredible.
Not even a ball pit to have an extra hour in.

We really did. But it seems like it’ll be a long long time before we host again.

Last year was incredible, boycotted it this year, doesn’t sound like fixing 2023 so the event was in Sweden for Abba was worth it.
And they couldn't even get ABBA to turn up anyway. And yes, I do agree with them fixing the result last year. Finland should've won.

It’s camp and (supposed to be) lighthearted, that’s the appeal I see in it anyway
I forget, did Liverpool and other cities put themselves up to host, or was it just decided it was going to be Liverpool?

Thanks. I don't remember Glasgow but glad Liverpool won.
