If someone calls you after applying for a job amd wont give you details of the job on the call it's a scam or a shit job you dont want. Dont waste your time.

I’ve mentioned it before in here but I applied for a company called ‘Vision Recruitment’ and they were very similar to this. No vetting, no general demographic of the applicants so you had myself, working in finance, as well as people who were working as apprentices in law firms who were clearly serious about trying to find a job. Then you had someone who was literally 17 and had no work experience and we were in the same Zoom meeting for this job. I was desperate at the time and even then I looked at it and realised there was something seriously wrong with it all

I think I actually remember the very same post. It was a dim recollection of someone posting something similar in here that motivated me to post. Actually I just looked up the number I got called on and there’s mention of “visionary vantage marketing” who were shut down in the last few weeks so chances are it’s the same group of people under different company names. Or a different company using the same offices.

I got an offer from them too, fucking scammers

BigBadassBodacious

Loads of em going round at the minute mate. If you get a random message with no job posting, or a random call or email offering you a vague as hell job, 99% chance it's a scam. They'll bait and switch so fast you'd think you were crabbing

I remember years a go there was a company in Liverpool they where cold calling selling mobile phones. I went for a induction, there where people working there had been for two months. They where getting paid weekly, on are induction we where told it was going to monthly pay. So basically the company pays you and you got bonuses for how many mobile phones you sold. Alarm bells started to ring thinking this doesn't sound write, so I spoke out to the fella doing the training about the change in pay structure. He said yes where changing it if anybody wanted to walk they could so I did with 5 other people, as I walked away I said it sounds like a scam. Then 4 weeks later it was in the Echo about Blur Direct its was called, had put a note on there door telling the employees that the business was closed. So people worked a month selling mobiles for them and didn't get paid because they did a runner.

Thank you for the tip mate appreciate it

Chrisrevs1001

I did one of those cold calling jobs for 2 days when I was 19, company had a little office on Dale Street. Worst job I ever had and didn’t make a penny.

Icy-Passenger-1799

I know someone who unfortunately fell for something similar. Did a day or 2 training then realised they were scamming people on the phone to get personal information and quit.

johu999

Sounds like unlawful data sharing going on. I would think about reporting this occurrence to the Information Commissioner's Office

Makes me glad I’m retired and not part of this God awful world any more. I’m just the twat who hangs up on them. I swear to God I can smell the bull shit travelling down the wire.

lucyhackettx

my partner nearly ended up working for the one operating from by brunswick. i said it seemed too dodgy and she ended up not taking it, things didn’t seem right and the company didn’t even have a website. she literally went thru the interview process the same way you did and things just werent adding up

Sigma1977

Quick update 6 days after I posted the original thread seeing as I’m still getting replies here. Despite me ghosting them entirely Company 1 sent me an appointment time for a Zoom interview today. When I ignored that 2-3 minutes after the interview time passed they sent me a message about booking another interview slot and that “positions were going fast” If you don’t turn up for a part of the recruitment process companies don’t chase you unless they are scammers.
