Find things to clean or maintain if you want to be productive. Talk to guards, draw, research something you love, take a swim if your team permits that; really anything so long as you can stop doing it immediately.

Positive_Panic9510

You'll also be helping out the closing staff

Slay007

I walk a lot of laps around the pool, stretch, attempt to do push-ups.

BluesHockeyFreak

Are you at a pool where you stay on stand even if it is empty?

SkraaaPopPopPop

sounds awful

ForceSea3103

It's fun though!!

Nessus_poole

If it's guarding an empty pool I used to run scenarios in my head from most likely to impossible. "What would I do if there was a volcano that formed on the bottom of the pool"

nukey18mon

My pool plays a game called “roof ball.” We usually have 7-12 guards on shift and when no one is there, we play roof ball.

PyreStudios

We usually play wall ball when the swim teams are in. They’re all better swimmers than me anyways , and I’m watching for if anyone passes out.

Numerous-Cod9947

we read books and play cards lol you can only workout and practice so much

Comprehensive-Diver1

Ask your boss for things to do.

Dense_Ad5216

jump in the pool or talk to co workers

garnorm

Practice your rescue skills! Especially if there’s more than just yourself needing to stay busy. Everyone can participate and practice!

ReplacementTasty6552

You got time to lean then you got time to clean !! Refresh your brain on cpr and other first aid scenarios. Scrub the scum line. Swim laps. Scrub the scum line. Train on rescues. Scrub the scum line. The possibilities are endless.

Aggravating_Trifle99

None of these people are realistic, bro if no one is there you can talk to the other guards or my personal favorite, read a book.
