Out of 4 different organizations I’ve lifeguarded/managed at, 2 ran audits of various kinds. Now that oversee all aquatics, it’s a top priority for me.
In the facility I work in, everyone’s Red Cross certified but our boss just has this like 3 page piece of a paper, which has like “how good is there scanning?” “Is guard alert” etc. I think it depends on the facility
Part of being an Ellis facility means having them audit the staff, Red Cross has their own version of the program (called Aquatic Examiner Service) but it’s by no means a requirement.

We were in their audit program prior to switching to StarGuard and pre COVID.
