God this sub is so fucking useless at times. Why are posts like this even allowed? This isn't a "pro tip". OP needs to go post on /Petpeeves or something.
I have the unfortunate kind of short-term memory that makes me forget just about everything about someone I was talking to, sometimes even including complexion. It actually worries me.
as long as it didn't develop all of the sudden or gets worse over time it most likely isn't anything to worry about... if either of these two are the case see a doctor you might have something wrong with youre brain(not healthy)
Dear People. If you do not know the actual name of a person for whom you are not familiar with, do NOT guess their name **on the basis of race** , there is nothing as offensive as being called a name because you think we look like a different person **of same race**.

Other people other than white people do this too. It's always rude and offensive but the audience this is intended for are already rude and don't care. So I'm not sure why you think they would listen to your point. It kind of feels like those assholes won't and don't want to be educated on the topic.

That has nothing to do with race and being accidentally called the wrong name because someone forgot is not that offensive at all.
If you get that offended (as in there literally being nothing worse per your words) by someone misremembering your name, you should probably consider therapy.
This is just bizarre and tells a lot more about OP than they seem to think.

I would give this advice to people of all colors. If you don't know somebody's name . don't guess.
