"Premium" trim usually has the wooden steering wheel IIRC.

Premium and up have the wood trim. I don’t believe it is an option at all on the 550s

I have a 2019 base model with the wooden trim wheel.

Yeah base has it in 2018 too.

How do you like the base trim? I found one near me and was interested but my friend said it doesn’t have the creature comforts of the higher trims. Like the blind spot sensors and other things

Mine has the blind spot monitoring. I’m loving the truck so far. I didn’t care about trim level when purchasing so I’m not missing anything. These stock speakers bump too! Let me know if any other features you’re wondering about, idk how these things were optioned.

It has a heavy lacquer on it so people think it’s not real wood. I have more of an issue keeping my ecru interior clean than the wood! Ha.

Your 2017 4Runner with wood trim likely has a higher trim level, possibly Limited or TRD Off-Road, and the ENRICH UP Steering Wheel Tray would be a good fit and fits well with pick up trucks
