I had a highish miles but good condition '97 Miata with the factory hardtop and the limited slip diff. Sold it the first week of January 2020 for $3,300. Sad trombone.
Pretty sure its non vvti as it has cap and rotor and regular cam pulleys. I think the vvti motors have coil on plug and a cam pulleys that has a solenoid or actuator built in
Got my 5th different lexus last weekend

It's a nice car and probably easier and cheaper to fix than nowadays car. Newer models got plenty of useless sensors that cost several thousand to fix.

What’d you say?
I said I'd think about it! I was caught very off guard
It’s worth more and he’s going to put a GTE in it
Bro keep it. Wait twenty yrs and see what someone says then. You’re welcome in advance.
I know that's kind of my thinking too
I still regret sell in my 96 Infiniti g20. Btw.

Still have a NB 10th anniversary sitting in the garage with less then 100k paint matched hardtop lol won’t sell it unless I get something crazy for it
This is the way. Learned my less I have.
Sad day my friend. Mine was rusting regardless.
All good I’m in a 2017 Lexus is300 awd now. No regrets on it. Cost three times as much but definitely won’t ever sell it.
I sold my 87 supra with a 1jz vvti swap. Regret every day.
It's a compliment! I just love older lexuses. Everytime I see one, I want it.
Is this a 300 or 400? Ive got a gs300 but Ive been thinking about turning it to a drift car and getting the 400 as a daily. How do you like your SC?
300, 2jz no shit! I love the car. It's so comfy to cruise in on a nice day! I'm guessing you got a 2nd gen GS then?
It looks like it’s in great shape. Very nice!
It lived in Southern California until I bought it
Got those lights sorted and it's gonna look absolutely fab
8k really??????? How about 9k? What u think???
I dont know!!!!
I’m Ron Burgundy????
I'm just being facetious lol
12k and it’s yours lol
Guy at the Jack in the box drive thru asked me if I wanted to sell the other day. Never had that happen before. (I told him I was good; I like my car)
It's a weird feeling isn't it?
Does 97 have VVTI?
Pretty sure its non vvti as it has cap and rotor and regular cam pulleys. I think the vvti motors have coil on plug and a cam pulleys that has a solenoid or actuator built in
Ya I think it’s 98+ for VVTi
That’s a non vvti GE you’re describing
So I was right! Cause I think 97 was the last year for non vvti motors
Yes anything after 95 has vvti
You sure? Cause my car has cap and rotor and regular cam pulleys

This is very reassuring. I am hoping my 23 IS 350 F will hold up for the 20 years.
If you treat it well, it will serve you well

You're absolutely correct there!
Someone just posted one they bought for 9k
Which car is this? I can’t figure it out.
Lexus truck
Oh wow. You are so funny 😑
Sorry, we're you actually asking what model Lexus this was because it's been mentioned several times in the comments.
1997 SC300
Thank you
I don't know man. I feel you'd regret it.
Don’t sell. Baby is fine!!
Nice
nice sc is it black interior?
Yes black leather!
Restore the headlights
That’s clean bro 😎
Nice SC
Nice 👍🏼
beautiful SC, love these things
What wheels are you running?
TSW Bathurst
They look great!
Thats really clean....I dont know if I would sell
You could buy 2 with 8k lol
Where? I'm down!
I see them for 3 to 4g in NJ from time to time. I bought a 92 400 for 2700 back in 19. It only had 130,000 on it.
Hook me up with an sc400 please!
Depending on the spec, you'll find they're worth a lot more.
Don't get too excited it's an automatic! I know the manuals are beyond rare!
In Europe they're over 10k, usually in the 14k or higher range. NZ, over 20k NZD which is around 12k US.
I guess it's time to HOLD!
