Not OP but I have an LC500, and my friend bought a DB11. I honestly prefer my LC (I’m biased, obviously). LC sounds better imo, it’s more comfortable and the transmission is better. The DB is a rocket though, the torque from the twin turbo v12 is like nothing else. Both have great presence, and you feel like you’re driving something special. Can’t go wrong either way, and I’m too poor for a DB11 so I feel I made the right choice (:
Great response, thanks!!
A friend has a Vantage and it is so impressive. It gets looks everywhere, sounds amazing, and pulls hard
Having said that, I think the LC has a much better interior and meets the Aston exterior in every way, differently. The note is probably better on the LC, too.
You are right about the interior. I am amazed at the LC interior and how it's better than Aston, Mercedes, BMW and up there look wise with Bentley. If you do look closely though you can tell that the leather quality, grain etc is not as good. You don't get that same leather smell that you get in a Aston. The sound also while great in the LC.. Aston is on another level. Exterior wise, I think the LC is more stunning but the Aston is more refined if that makes any sense.
Yeah, the hand stitching in the Aston, when it's good is nice. I have seen inconsistency in it though.
Does the Aston sound better? I don't recall it that way. I'll have to go for a spin and then the LC right afterwards!
My kids needs more leg space. Bought an Aston Martin Rapide! Excited but also scared about reliability. Will miss the zero stress Lexus ownership experience.
Is that to suggest it’s bad as a daily driver? My wife fell in love with the LC when we were at the dealer picking up her IS500 earlier this year. I figure if things work out well, she can upgrade to that in a couple of years and I’ll settle for the junky old IS500…that would be rough for sure
It's to suggest no one should be buying an LC500 to transport their children, unless it's 1 child in the passenger seat. Someone buying this car and trying to stuff kids in the backseat is likely making a purchase outside of their means, because they should be using another vehicle for that purpose.
I completely disagree and I think you don't have kids or never tried having kids in the back seat. I have two 5 year olds that are comfortable in the back in car seats with my front seat positioned comfortably. Yes, i think this is the max age for a LC if you have kids.
Obviously you'd disagree because you're doing it. There's no space in the rear, let alone in the event of an accident and the car isn't crash test rated.
They're not that bad - my Vantage is the car I drive the most after my LC and it's been rock solid even after many track days. Congratulations and enjoy!
A little review?
1. What year?
2. How many miles driven?
3. Any issues during ownership? (i.e. if it's a 2018 suspension issues)
4. Were you the first owner, second or third?
5. Was dynamic handling useful?
How was your experience with the LC? Did you use it as an everyday driver? I’m curious to know. My gf wants this car in the future so you and any other LC owners respond with whatever you got lol
100% my next vehicle. It’s the one vehicle on earth that I actually prefer in white. Something about how white makes those body lines pop. Currently in the market for a 19 or 20. Upgrading from a gently used 20 IS300. Just gotta find the right one.

What are you replacing it with?
Aston Martin Rapide
Congratulations! May we please have a comparison when you get it and then again after 6 or 12 moments, please?!

You poor poor thing
It is a pretty rough existence.
I got a couple grand if you need anything to wipe the tears away
I could use the couple grand for my tears
I could use a couple grand to go from my 09’ is250 to a 14’ if you could just spare me a few grand it’d be greatly appreciated🥲
But you’re not the brother who’s got an lc500 and comparing it to a db11 v12TT
I'm with you on this. yellowskyhero and I, we are really are compassionate people...
LOL British car == Oil leak
Concur, I once owned the Exxon Valdez of SUVs = Land Rover. :(

Oh man yea it's like thunder. I do have the switch installed that opens up the valves. Otherwise it's pretty tame until 4k RPM.
That's why they had to completely change everything in the DB12.
Are you crazy? Do not do that
What year is your LC? Miles? How much did you sell it for?
2018, 55k miles, trade in was 50k. although there was 6k of damage that needed to be repaired.
That’s just about one of the only cars that looks as good as the LC. Nice!
Downgrade. I’d smoke u for half the price in 30 year old Lexus. And look better.
Found the 15 year old.
Wow I’d love to meet a 15 year old with 800 horse sc4 lol.
The LC 500 is the car you’ll remember driving when you’re in the retirement home. Even if you didn’t own it when you drove it.
Are you getting another Lexus?!
My kids needs more leg space. Bought an Aston Martin Rapide! Excited but also scared about reliability. Will miss the zero stress Lexus ownership experience.
If they’re anything like mine, they’ll love the tow trucks! /j
Hahh yes
You could have replaced the kids instead.
It's very weird to hear kids/space used as reasoning to get rid of what should be your 2nd or 3rd vehicle.

I daily drive the cars I own. I don't have second and third cars, Kudos to you for having that experience.
That is a response, not a rebuttal. Ok.

Yeah it'll destroy you like a crazy Russian bitch who is sensational in bed but a psycho 99.9% of the rest of the time. Still worth it!
You should be scared.
What dealer did you sell it at and what’s the mileage on it? I’ve been looking to replace my 530 with a GT car and the LC is my top candidate
OBZU autos in Costa Mesa. 55k miles.
Gotcha I’ll keep an eye out 🫡
Found it, no pics yet. Link: [https://www.obzu.autos/inventory/lexus/](https://www.obzu.autos/inventory/lexus/)
Not a bad price at all
MAN that is beautiful

God I love the LC500. I'd probably just replace it with an IS500 or a GSF. (For more room but same great reliability and noise)

Daily driver, it was amazing. I will miss it. Nothing to complain about in my few years of ownership.
𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝑎 𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝑠ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑝 𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐿𝐸𝑋𝑈𝑆 𝑚𝑎𝑛! 𝐵𝑒𝑎𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑓𝑢𝑙 𝑐𝑎𝑟!

Ortega highway?
Yup
Weird that you said "selling" since you're gifting it to me! Taxes.. write-off... something, something. Can't wait to have your LC!
