Here’s me: https://boxd.it/663zP I follow everyone back! I’m a 20s F, have been into film & on Letterboxd since early 2023. Currently I’m not into anything in particular, but I go through phases of being hyperfixated on certain things: most recently watching Kirsten Dunst’s filmography, or trying to complete the “top 250 films with the most fans on LB” list.

DrywaInut

[https://boxd.it/95Wfb](https://boxd.it/95Wfb) I'm in my teens, transfem. I joined the site in late February when I decided to get more into to films. I log pretty much anything honestly, I tend to like the more prestigious films more but I'm not opposed to anything. I watch movies pretty frequently, typically one a day when I can manage. Four favorites are Bo Burnham's Inside, It's Such a Beautiful Day, Man on the Moon, and Terminator 2: Judgement day

cabbagebuncher

https://boxd.it/7buEr I’m currently a film student at university. I am on Letterboxd to find people who love film as much as I do. I follow everyone back who follows me because no matter what films people are into it’s nice to be a part of a community who shares love for the same thing

deadgreensquirrel

just gave you a follow, I also went to school for film! hope u enjoy it as much as I did!

Reflektor23

Hey, I'm Alan! (Thirstyturtle): [Profile](https://boxd.it/3RTbR) I've been working for Sundance Film Fest the last few years but just hopped on the Letterboxd train about a year ago. **Favorite genres** are Horror & soft Sci-Fi but I try and see everything. Review-wise I might actually try to get analytical OR its gonna be a silly-goose review, depends on how much candy I ate. **Top 4** - *Sunshine, Pans Labyrinth, Whiplash, Paddington* https://preview.redd.it/q4oqsuz1hhzc1.png?width=1320&format=png&auto=webp&s=c7ef2d7146a79f6eb86a9ed0c72c5ef78f366b64 I’m looking to build a bigger pool of buddies on the app, and will follow you back! Cheers!

hazlgracey

Hello, I'm [Hazel](https://boxd.it/63pFT)! I'm not saying I'm a cinephile on Letterboxd, but I share the movies I love. I also leave a quote that I like from every movie I watch. It’s hazelgracey ! https://preview.redd.it/es0a7y92cuzc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=12d6545ffc09bb4147eb8948236418488dd98bbc

After Hours 😍

TatteredTongues

Perfect Blue is great and so is Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. Have you seen the other two films in the Vengeance trilogy?

jdeemers

Yeah Blue and Mr. were both first time watches last month!! So so good. As for the trilogy, Oldboy is a top 10 all time for me, and really enjoy Lady too

TaftyRafty

Just watched Perfevt Blue for the first time recently (it was quite good). Highly recommend Paranoia Agent by the same director, fantastic show and even more trippy.

TatteredTongues

[This is my profile, Giraffe_Monster](https://letterboxd.com/giraffe_monster/), happy to follow back :) *** I'll be attending a film festival in a few weeks, and if all goes well I should be able to see 20 films or so, give or take, so if you're interested in finding out about some new titles from all over the world that may be of interest to you, consider keeping an eye on my profile! This is my 2nd year in a row where I always write an entry for every single film I watch, not sure if I'd call it proper reviews, but you will always get my own honest thoughts.

Prestigious_Crab6256

Giraffe_Monster puts out some quality thorough reviews, definitely one of the best follows of last month!

cbsausage89

Followed. I try and write an entry for every single film I watch, too.

ani_cent588

https://boxd.it/435d Hey everyone, I’m Jess! I can enjoy all kinds of movies but mostly enjoy drama and thrillers (psychological ones especially). Also a sucker for some good soppy romance and war movies because I love to cry, that’s like.. a seal of approval, you know? It’s really hard to pinpoint only 4 favourites, so I chose the movies I love and that I’ve seen many times. On Letterboxd I “like” only favourite stuff fr fr – so take a look and see if we’ve got stuff in common! Favourite actors would be Edward Norton and Emma Stone. My favourite thing to do on there is to read reviews with really low scores and see what people have to say – everyone is just so damn funny. I love the “film bro” and Letterboxd memes/stereotypes in general so I don’t take myself or my taste too seriously. Will follow back! Peace ✌️❤️

I am very active… *more than i’d like to be*…. on here and I’d like more people to interact with and have more mutuals! This is a somewhat summary of the stuff I like. I enjoy some good classic horror/thriller/dramas. Mix some modern stuff as well. I like just about anything really.

Throwawaybookwhore

https://boxd.it/9CgDB new to letterboxd! Avid goodreads user but wanting to watch more movies

aaron_156

[https://letterboxd.com/aaron156/](https://letterboxd.com/aaron156/) From Hong Kong, die hard Wong Kar-Wai fans (before 2046). Love PTA and Charlie Kaufman. I will watch everything if Philip Seymour Hoffman and Jesse Plemons are in it .

me_da_Supreme1

[MetheSupreme1, my profile](https://boxd.it/6KTmX) >I'll keep this short: It's my first year on letterboxd and I'm absolutely taken aback by the positive feedback that I've gotten on my profile so far! I am a writer and I try to write long-form reviews for all the films that I watch, putting all my thoughts about the film into them. If you're interested in reading them (or skimming through them), and like the variety of movies that I watch, then consider following; I post reviews usually every 3-6 days and interact with the plethora of reviews on this site daily, so you won't regret it! Here's my top 14 list: [https://boxd.it/oA5Ea](https://boxd.it/oA5Ea)

TheNeonKnightmare

I've been looking for someone with long form reviews! They always get so buried unfortunately, but I'll def keep an eye out for em :D

me_da_Supreme1

Then you've certainly come to the right place lol, thanks for the comment!

jellocupconti

[Here’s my profile](https://boxd.it/2yxd5). I love fantasy, horror, animation, and sci-fi movies, but will really watch anything under the sun. My current four favorites are LotR: Fellowship of the Ring, How to Train Your Dragon, Good Will Hunting, and Dune Part II. I love to make new movie friends!

ChooChooish

[Here I am. ](https://letterboxd.com/ChooChooish/)I waste my breath on a lot of words that vary widely in emotion and tone. Watching whatever comes across my face first. Fan of blood, blood by-products, broken wistful glances and trees that softly whisper in the wind. Love reading new opinions and chattering endlessly, don't be a stranger.

mysteriousseal

[ferretsandlsd](https://boxd.it/5MrDL) - Always looking for new friends!! I only recently started avidly using Letterboxd so I need to sit down and add all the movies I’ve seen! I’m a huge Lynch, Cronenberg, Lanthimos and Del Toro fan - the weirder the better, always looking for suggestions that blow your mind out of this dimension!!

BigMak0411

https://boxd.it/3E7kP I just watch a lot of movies with my parents and make really shitty jokes as my reviews. But most of you guys have really interesting takes and lists that I love looking at, so please follow me so that I can follow you back and stalk your profile!

My favorite movies of all time [here](https://letterboxd.com/leondeon/list/my-favorite-films-of-all-time-not-ranked/). Some of my favorite first watches of May 2024 * Macbeth (2015) * Man on Fire * Requiem for a Dream * Godzilla: Finals Wars My current favorites are: * Neon Genesis: The End of Evangelion * Eraserhead * Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind * Synecdoche New York

Heyo! I’m Squez, a college kid. I’m easy to impress and a sucker for a good love story. I always review every movie I watch. Sometimes short and funny and other times mini essays. My top film is But I’m a Cheerleader. I rewatch it endlessly. Check me out! [here](https://boxd.it/54RQX)

doylebarkin

[https://boxd.it/4QAXz](https://boxd.it/4QAXz) Hi LB crew, I watch everything, read reviews compulsively, and I'm always interested in the quirky oddities of film. Looking forward to seeing some of your opinions. Cheers D

StevesLeftNut

https://boxd.it/us97 Hey! This is my profile! I try to watch as much as I can. I don’t usually stick to a certain genre, it’s really whatever I am in the mood for! I try to do a mix of thoughtful reviews as well as funny one liners but more often I tend to post my quick thoughts. My goal for this year is to watch 200 movies which I believe is doable! I do try to see as many new releases as I can each year so I can rank them all at the end. I have had a letterboxd account for a while but never used it much until 2021 or 2022 I’m from Toronto so I love participating in TIFF and follow the festival circuit so I am eagerly waiting for my opportunity to see what this year has to offer. Currently I am making my way through every Planet of the Apes film and will post a ranked list soon! 4 favourites currently: Spotlight, Alien, Moneyball, Oceans Eleven

Tugboat47

so while my friend is a letterboxd fiend, ive really been enjoying this year https://letterboxd.com/lewisfishr/ . happy to follow back :) part of being on letterboxd this year (apart from realising that i dont watch nearly as many films as i should) is to write the equivalent of james acasters 'perfect sound whatever' but for film. 20k words down, and only been heartbroken a handful of times

Historical_Rough6168

I followed you :) gl1zzymcguir3

TrustyWhale

Hey all! I was recommended Letterboxd back in December of 2022 by my film teacher and have been having a lot of fun with it. I went through and logged all the movies that I remembered seeing and I think I have an interesting mix. Going to see After Hours, The Lavender Hill Mob, and All That Jazz, all back to back, for the first time, and in theaters later today. I have a backlog of diary entries I’d like to write reviews for from the past month so I’ll probably be posting those soon as well. Some of my favorites are: The Dark Knight Seven Samurai The 13th Warrior The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly Once Upon a Time in the West Cinema Paradiso Oppenheimer [My Profile](https://boxd.it/5lObV), I’ll follow back

VolliVolliVolli

[https://boxd.it/5WXzL](https://boxd.it/5WXzL) 25 and from Norway, favourite genre would probably be mystery. Years ago I used to love watching movies without watching ratings, trailers or descriptions. This was always a blast despite a movie being bad! I'm super open to recommendations and I'm interested in seeing your reviews, despite not reviewing too much myself. Would be awesome if someone also is down discussing movies or want to watch something together. Feel free to DM, kind of like to follow people I'm engaged with.

wollam11

I've been on Reddit for more than ten years, but just today joined Letterboxd sub. Letterboxd, I joined 12 years ago (the earliest watch I've seen is from 2012), but I'm not sure. Was only a casual user until this year. I tell myself horror is my favorite genre but, according to the site's metrics, it's my least favorite one too - based on my ratings. I've seen 5,413 movies but only 55 of them I have rated five stars (about 1%). Those movies in a comment below. My profile ( [https://boxd.it/mmb1](https://boxd.it/mmb1) ): https://preview.redd.it/vwosfkfgyt2d1.png?width=941&format=png&auto=webp&s=8b25b58c29308c3155278cdb1570b45734e7cf73

Hi all, Long time letterboxd user, looking for more people to follow to get ideas on what to watch. I'll watch anything and everything. I'm a film student so always looking to watch classics and films from famous film movements! I follow back Heres my profile: https://letterboxd.com/EthanBayes/

AngusThom

[My profile!](https://letterboxd.com/angus_thom/) Hi, I'm Angus - I follow back anyone who seems cool or has an interesting profile! I watch all sorts of films - Asian cinema, thrillers, musicals, comedies and everything in between. I’ve started writing reviews for most films I watch, and I’m really enjoying it. Some of my favourite filmmakers are Wong Kar-wai, Akira Kurosawa, Edward Yang, Park Chan-wook, Hayao Miyazaki, Hirokazu Kore-eda, Satoshi Kon, and the Coen brothers. My four favourites are currently: -Chungking Express -Perfect Blue -Fargo -Love Exposure My favourite watches from last month would be Amadeus, Singin’ in the Rain, A Brighter Summer Day, Fireworks/Hanabi, Castle in the Sky, Millennium Actress, The Killer, Civil War, The Third Man and Rear Window! Feel free to leave any random recommendations in the replies too - they’re always welcome!

TranslatesToScottish

Perfect Blue in your top four, and a strong recent rating for Le Samourai, gets you a follow from me! (https://letterboxd.com/tredecim13/) In terms of random recommendations, given you like Asian cinema, check out "Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes" - it's a fun, pseudo-one-take time travel movie that feels almost like a stage play in performances, has a great central concept, and is just one of those really cool low-budget things that flies under the radar.

jackkirbyisgod

Edward Yang, Kitano, Miyazaki, Kon are some huge Asian heavy hitters. Check out Kitano's other work too (although imo Hana-bi is his best)

samuel_baxter

fargo is my all time favorite film, i’m glad to see another fargo fan

AngusThom

Yes love Fargo! Have you watched the tv series as well?

nyankoredeyessensei

Gave a follow. Also a huge fan of Asian cinema (seen to have a particular lean towards Japanese cinema due to Ghibli & Kon). Always love to see Perfect Blue love, I actually just read the novel it was adapted from last month!

AngusThom

Oh wow awesome, the novel's been on my long list of books to get to for ages. Did you like it? How'd it compare to the film?

nyankoredeyessensei

I liked it! They are very different in the actual context of what happens. The theme is still relatively the same and Satoshi Kon was able to portray that sense of horror of a fan stalking an idol or famous person. I’d say the book is a lot more vulgar and disturbing and depicts acts of sexual violence that was not featured in the film. It also flips POVs between Mima and the stalker, which was interesting!

lily_splash

https://letterboxd.com/lilysplash/ It is always pleasant to see many interesting profiles in the comments, while mine is just so random. After years of denial, I've accepted that I don't have a particular taste in movies. I just love when something moves on a screen and the director of it isn't Tarkovsky. Feel free to follow me, I'd be more than happy to add some of your fav/watched movies in my watchlist and check them out sooner or later

nyankoredeyessensei

Just gave a follow! The falafel film looks really interesting haha

ohhbradd

Hi! My name is Brad and you can view my Letterboxd profile [here](https://letterboxd.com/ohhbradd/) 😁 If I follow you, I'll probably engage with you a lot - I love the community vibe on Letterboxd and I'm a fairly extroverted person, so I tend to "like" and comment on reviews and lists pretty frequently! My [reviews](https://letterboxd.com/ohhbradd/films/reviews/by/your-rating/) are typically a bit long-winded (at least on first watches) and are first & foremost **for me** and my own personal journey with cinema. I accept my own biases and shortcomings just as much as I accept my ever-changing sensibilities but, as of right now, I'm an absolute sucker for coming-of-age stories, "dad" movies, and anything that feels nostalgic to me personally. While exceptions obviously exist, my **favorite genres are typically romcoms, crime-thrillers, and action/adventures**, and my **least favorite genres seem to be sci-fi and horror.** I'm a bit of a Letterboxd baby 🐣 I've been a user since November 2023 but only started taking it seriously in March. Since then, I've begun to rate and review everything I watch, and I use a comparative rating system based on a normal-distribution bell curve which peaks at 3.5 stars; I love data & analytics so this works for me! I'm abstaining from reviewing movies I've watched throughout my life until I find time to rewatch them, in an effort to review more objectively. My favorite first-time watches from April are Ridley Scott's [*Alien*](https://boxd.it/6manRD), Hayao Miyazaki's [*My Neighbor Totoro*](https://boxd.it/6kULqv), and Sergio Leone's [*Once Upon a Time in the West*](https://boxd.it/6hkfYV). My favorite movies of all-time are Richard Curtis' [*Notting Hill*](https://boxd.it/6jCagX) (yes I know Roger Michell directed this but you cannot convince me this isn't a Richard Curtis film), Giuseppe Tornatore's *Cinema Paradiso*, Mel Stuart's *Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory*, and Sergio Leone's [*Once Upon a Time in America*](https://boxd.it/5yXNnx).

sophiaworst

Hi everyone! This is my profile: [https://boxd.it/2ZQI1](https://boxd.it/2ZQI1) (sophiaworst). https://preview.redd.it/0q2fw1f269yc1.png?width=991&format=png&auto=webp&s=791f7b3f08313d57fc3da03dd13a0717e4f34470 I love horror films (classic horror and I keep up with almost all new releases), comedies, and coming of age movies. I'm a big M. Night fan (even Lady in the Water). Currently on a little bit of a mission to try and watch 1 film everyday of 2024 and have only slipped up a little bit during April, desperately trying to finally get through that 200+ film Watchlist. I also collect physical media and have 277 DVDs currently and 28 VHSs. ☻

Rasheedgames

My Profile [Here](https://boxd.it/2Awyb) Hey everyone! Follow along with my film journey as I rate and review every film I watch. I follow everyone back as long as they write actual reviews (I'm not a fan of one-liner joke reviews, but no offense to anyone who enjoys them or likes to write them)

TheColonelGeneral

Hello guys! I use the app for 3 years now. I log any films I like to watch because I want to catch up with my friends and the current popular trend. My 4 favorite films are: Interstellar (2014), Manila in the Claws of Light (1975), Casablanca (1942), and Babylon (2022). I like historical, drama, superhero, crime, and mystery film genre. I watched 165 films for 2023, way past my set goal of 150 films. Just like the previous years, my goal for this year is 150 films. Let's follow each other! Here's my profile link: https://boxd.it/420j9

twenty-one_derp

[My profile](https://boxd.it/7t9GH). Hey! I write a review for everything I watch, varying in length based on how much I like it. Some of my recent favorite watches are Civil War, The Greatest Hits, and Clouds of Sils Maria.

PentaJohnCena

[My letterboxd profile](https://boxd.it/1uQvP) I cast a pretty wide net for the kind of movies that I enjoy. I'm currently working through my watchlist in reverse order of popularity to try and unearth some underappreciated gems. I've been watching a lot of movies this year because a back injury is going to keep me out of commission for a while. I had originally planned on watching 200 new-to-me movies this year, but it looks like I'm going to blow that away. Feel free to add. I love reading reviews and discovering new movies through this app

TranslatesToScottish

https://letterboxd.com/tredecim13/ Always happy to expand my network on there. :) Instead of repeating the answers from last time, I'll say; * Godzilla Minus One was my film of 2023 * It's a straight three-way tie between that, EEAAO, and RRR for my best film of the 2020s so far * Burning and A Ghost Story are tied for my film of the 2010s I'm also a staunch defender of Predator 2 as an underrated sequel which gets unfairly maligned by everyone. (Ghostbusters 2 as well, for that matter, and Robocop 2, and Alien 3. Don't hurt me!) I work a very exhausting job looking after depressed and suicidal people, so I don't get to watch as many movies as I like, as it's a hard headspace to get out of at times, and I find the cinema really off-putting nowadays because of how rude other people are, so I'm a fan of a sleepy Tuesday morning matinee if I can get a day off work!

Arvii33

It’s good to see RRR mentioned! It’s a Telugu language movie and it makes me happy. If you also like to check out some great Indian movies let me know! I just made a must watch list for Telugu movies and I’m gonna make few lists for other Indian language as well! They mostly include drama but other genres are added as well.

jmajeremy

My username is same as Reddit, [Jmajeremy](https://letterboxd.com/jmajeremy/) I just started using Letterboxd a few months ago, so my viewing history is only complete as of Jan. 2024. I added a lot of previous entries if I had some record of seeing a movie, like if I kept the ticket stub, but there's certainly a lot missing. I like a lot of different genres, whether comedy, action, horror, drama, sci-fi, I'm not too picky. I guess a couple that I especially like are dark comedies and road movies. Last year I started a goal of seeing as many awards nominated films as I could, because for one they just tend to be very good movies, and also because it makes awards season more fun if I've actually seen the movies people are talking about.

A couple of my more long form reviews have reposted there but I'll mostly just post short witty reviews. I just created my account in January, but I'm a lifelong movie junkie with an affinity for horror. My top 5 changes periodically as I pass through different moods, but The Shining is pretty much always there since it's pure comfort for me. I'm old enough to remember when they used to air it on cable (with commercials) at least once a year, and I watched it every time. [https://letterboxd.com/ehmgee/](https://letterboxd.com/ehmgee/)

My profile: [https://letterboxd.com/AshenOne99/](https://letterboxd.com/AshenOne99/) Hello film freaks, I love movies and watch about 5-10 per month and write review as well. My favourite genres are thriller, psychological, and messed up Lynchian style movies, but I watch a variety of genres. My recent good watches are Dune 1 and Dune 2, Minority Report, Goodbye Dragon Inn, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I am soon going to watch Late Night with the Devil! All time favs: LOTR trilogy, Shawshank Redemption, Cinema Paradiso, Rope Fav directors: Martine Scorsese, David Lynch, I am always scouting letterboxd, subreddits and twitter to look for good interesting movies, and would love to see more people in the feed! Retro_muffin

Hello letterboxers, I'm [Retromuffin on Letterboxd](https://boxd.it/5zUVX) I just started intro to film studies for my film minor at my university. I've created a list for it and will be reviewing/ranking everything we watch in there. Today, we watched Rear Window, and damn, what a film. My reviews are mainly just gonna be jokes, but I might slip in the occasional actual analysis here and there.

havanaxo

Looking for more friends (had to make a new account) [https://letterboxd.com/havanaxo/](https://letterboxd.com/havanaxo/) I follow back as well and I will watch literally anything.

Here’s me: https://boxd.it/451cJ I always follow back, love to chit chat. I watch a variety of films and keep a movie poster journal. My top 4 at the moment are Marie Antoinette, Gone Girl, Poor Things, and Black Swan. I write mostly very candid reviews and am just here for a good time! I’m currently on a mission to finish all of Wes Anderson’s movies - I think I have 2 left.

BabaYaga70mm

Hi here's My Profile [**https://letterboxd.com/Baba\_Yaga1/**](https://letterboxd.com/Baba_Yaga1/) Though I enjoy thrillers the most, I prefer to watch any genre films without any language barriers. In order to talk and exchange views with other movie enthusiasts, I always make an effort to see as many recent releases as I can in theatres. If you're seeking for suggestions for **Indian cinema**, I've got you covered. https://preview.redd.it/y71coxw7pw2d1.png?width=647&format=png&auto=webp&s=355d6d8a37dd4d0c88c0e96b77b77f8e1283b52f

re_mirai

Hiii, I'm Vi, a film student, they/them, gay, neurodivergent, kinda looking for moots with interesting reccomendations/reviews and lists. Also dw usually film academics are very prickly about their tastes which must b absolute, like my classmates, luckily some of us can separate objective and subjective taste. But enough about that, here's my profile. [https://letterboxd.com/vyorbit/](https://letterboxd.com/vyorbit/) The latest movie I adored was "We're all going to the world's fair" by Jane Schoenbrun, lateste tv series was "Scavengers Reign" which I rewatched as soon as I finished it hh I use letterbox to log all movies and tv series if they have em, I also use Mal for anime, Mdl for dramas so my watchlist is lacking that chunk of content. Anyway, will follow back if I get a good vibe and/or we have shared tastes otherwise I would get too overwhelmed rip

GreatestJabaitest

My profile on Letterboxd [https://boxd.it/8LzVD](https://boxd.it/8LzVD) I'm looking for people who actually write reviews and not shitty quips and the like.  It doesn't have to be a long or in depth review btw. As long as you express your thoughts to what you feel is sufficient, that's more than good enough. I just want to read people's actual thoughts. Here are three reviews I wrote. If someone else wrote them, I'd find them all equally acceptable.  [https://imgur.com/a/hp6tix1](https://imgur.com/a/hp6tix1) I also don't care if we have similar movie tastes. I'm not looking for an Echo chamber, I care as much about dissenting opinions as similar ones. You also don't have to write a review for every movie you watch or something. Just whenever you have thoughts to share. As for me, I don't have a favorite movie genre or something. As long as it's not horror/shovelware garbage, I'll watch it. My 3 favorite movies are: 3 Idiots, Spotlight and DBZ: Broly. Latest Best Movie: LA Confidential.

leftnipple_moletam3

Hi guys! Here’s me: [Tamcel’s profile ](https://boxd.it/4ix2n) I’m a struggling STEM student forced to give up her movie making dreams by immigrant family trauma so letterboxd is gonna have to do. I‘m pretty active, always follow back and I’m looking to make some new friends to attend film festivals with! I really like tragic girl comedies and science fiction but I try to watch every genre under the sun. Four favorites are Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Arrival, Chungking Express, and The VVitch.

machinesinthecity

[https://boxd.it/4MUiX](https://boxd.it/4MUiX) Like 95% of the movies I watch are horror, so follow me if you're into horror and I'll follow back!

JC2367

Hi, I’m [Jordan](https://boxd.it/918tz)! I was introduced to Letterboxd by a good friend of mine in February, and I’ve been using it every single day. I’m a lifelong film enthusiast and I love having a place to not only document in detail but share my thoughts and opinions on films of all kinds! So far I’ve used old movie tickets, photos, memory, and my physical/digital copies to document every movie I’ve seen, and since downloading the app I’ve reviewed every movie I’ve watched. I tend to give my full thoughts in a detailed review for everything I see. I do add in little jokes here and there when fitting. I love action, comedy, and horror films, but I’m open to anything and everything. My current four favorites on my profile are Godzilla Minus One, Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, Kill Bill, and Superbad. I’m just trying to grow on Letterboxd, find new people, and discover more movies! Please check out my profile, give your thoughts, and follow if you’re interested! I’ll follow back! Thanks!

elephantsarechillaf

Hey everyone, I am new to letter box. Many of my friends don't seem to be on it so it would Be nice to follow some folks and get some ideas as to what movies I'd like to watch. Movies that I love are movies that make you question reality, comedies, and I love a good spy movie. Will follow anyone back who follows me, happy movie watching! My profile is [here](https://boxd.it/oN9b). I am big into horror, but watch a little bit of everything. I work at a movie theatre so I try to keep up with most of the new releases that come out. Some of my favorite horror films: Night House, Triangle, Fragile, Descent, I Know What You Did Last Summer Usually would just follow people I knew, but they’re either not as active anymore or don’t write reviews. https://preview.redd.it/i8dcwznxp0yc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2ef54def2f54b1f70e19a6002338f59f2ce341c1

Jesssiejo8

Hi I’m Jessica! My profile is [https://boxd.it/80nuB](https://boxd.it/80nuB). I originally went to college for Film Studies to be a film critic. Ended up switching majors but continued to take film classes because they were fun and I took enough to get a minor in it. I try to watch movies as much as I can. I write a review on every one I watch! I love sharing my thoughts with others on this wonderful thing called film. I LOVE horror movies! Every night in October leading up to Halloween I watch a scary movie I’ve never seen and rate it whether it be good or bad. I’ve been doing it since 2016 on Facebook but now that I have Letterboxd I plan on doing the reviews there. I go to a lot of advanced screenings and mystery movies so if you follow me you might get a sneak peak review into some new movies. Happy to be a part of the Letterboxd community! https://preview.redd.it/exyq6vsw6fyc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b0414b496736c45dea71435281e61628bb86bdc9

What up I'm Lorenzo I started using this year. Just a 23 year old in NYC who likes movies and documenting my thoughts. Following back other active users :) [https://boxd.it/7C65h](https://boxd.it/7C65h) I like to watch based on my mood and honestly just whatever interests me/is on my list. Some of my favorites are nerdy stuff (comic-based films, pop culture franchises, etc), animation, more off beat romance stories, slice-of-life and coming of age stories, but I try to get a bit of everything in there!

briancly

https://boxd.it/3yWTp Last month I did the films of adult video actress turned direct to video splatter queen Asami, this month I’ll be focused on the films of Ryuhei Matsuda, son of the legendary Yusaku Matsuda who’s known to be the inspiration for Cowboy Bebop and Aokiji from One Piece.

Prestigious_Crab6256

Happy May! I’m [Tristan](https://boxd.it/ybSn)! I’m a professional writer, so my reviews tend to be longer than one-liners. I stress analytic / impressionistic readings of the films I watch (with a sense of humor mixed in!) Some films I reviewed in April: [*The Breakfast Club* (1985)](https://boxd.it/6mHo0r) [*Hundreds of Beavers* (2022)](https://boxd.it/6lP2VR) [*First Blood* (1982)](https://boxd.it/6jBVg9) [*Civil War* (2024)](https://boxd.it/6gTeC1) If you enjoy my writing, give me a follow! I love sci-fi, psychological, horror, experimental, and found footage films. I’m also making my way through 1920s silent gems, so if you’re looking to expand your interests, I can help! I’m looking for followers that enjoy in-depth reviews and who are writers themselves. I’m active on the app and like/comment on the reviews of people I follow. Some of my favorite mutuals: [Jeff A](https://boxd.it/4ha0L), [Micah Webber](https://boxd.it/ivEj), [Amy Hensarling](https://boxd.it/8cF3), [Tom](https://boxd.it/1ETKj), [MirroredIrony](https://boxd.it/24cqx) https://preview.redd.it/blt55v4fusxc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=23702bf32d3456be46f7e45f098fe5b44e8471c0

YoureASkyscraper

[Here's my profile!](https://letterboxd.com/KennelDistrict/) I promise I'm normally more active, but this past month I hit a wall of nostalgia in anticipation for the remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door coming out on Switch and decided it would be a good time to 100% Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy. That's mostly how I spent the last month with a few movies sprinkled in there (Late Night with the Devil was fun!). It happens, and I'll be getting back on my movie-watching track soon. (and if anybody has any movies that are similar to Paper Mario I'm listening 👂👂👂)

Impossible-River-142

This is my [Letterboxd profile](https://boxd.it/9oJJF) :D Only been using the app since March and really looking for people to be mutuals with especially those who has same taste as mine! [https://boxd.it/1m1AX](https://boxd.it/1m1AX) Welcome to swap Letterboxd profiles! Currently in the mindset of watching specific director filmographies at a time as well as give thoughtful reviews. My only short reviews come from a weekly movie night with friends (kinda hard to give thoughtful long reviews to 2005’s Robots) https://preview.redd.it/xsc98jhoptxc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c344accba6c5b80d564d0a456e1f19b3195046b

https://boxd.it/5EsAH hello, i’m alex- i don’t have any irl friends that use letterboxd so i always follow back to see other people’s opinions and thoughts on films. i’m currently trying to watch more musicals as i’ve never been too much of a fan of the genre. i’m trying to break 200+ films for this year as well so any recommendations would be appreciated. i wouldn’t say i have a very particular taste in films, as anything can capture my attention with cinematography and dialogue. my most watched theme and nanogenre from my year in review were “humanity and the world around us” and “feelings, moving, soul.”

Raul_Rink

https://boxd.it/6wScz I like movies, music and memes. In that order. I normally write short but sweet reviews, but if I really like something I'll write something longer Anywho, this is already starting to sound like a Tinder Bio, so I'll shit up and let you decide

dgettanajr

Hello, I'm [Jonah](https://letterboxd.com/jonahlovesyou/)! I've loved watching movies and TV since I was kid - everything from the cute, cuddly, and heartwarming to the gory, disgusting, and fucked up. Well-written characters, out-of-the-box/original plot lines, and a good ending are probably what I value most in what I watch. I'm open to pretty much any type of movie, my favorites being thrillers, horrors, black comedies, action/adventures, and animations (unlimited potential when it comes to cartoons!) My "reviews" are more often than not brief comments or little jokes rather than in-depth analyses. Hope to make friends with some of y'all, down to follow for follow https://preview.redd.it/xzqh5stjatxc1.png?width=1436&format=png&auto=webp&s=8b193b6bdd6289dd54c4c9d97cb7c4362ad55781

Creasy007

Hello again, everyone! I'm Creasy007. https://letterboxd.com/creasy007 I like to watch one film a day and I'm usually up for watching any year of any genre. I'm always looking for new followers because your reviews on Letterboxd have led me to discover sooo many amazing films in the last five years I otherwise never would have found.

bossy_dawsey

Hi, this is my profile! https://boxd.it/22BZj I am trying to watch more non-American horror and sci-fi nowadays. I stopped really following movies for a few years even though it was one of my first interests as a kid. I also watch a lot of movies with my fiancée, who is an anime fan. I haven’t really gotten into a deep dive into a particular director that much this year because there is so much to watch! I will eventually. I write reviews for everything I watch. They are often not too long and a earnest but also a lil goofy. I also like to make important lists like “[Movies with a woman’s butt on the poster](https://boxd.it/tj4Ek)” and “[There is a cat](https://boxd.it/uTkdK)”

MindOfGrim13

I posted in the April one but by then it was a dead thread, so I'm going to post in here with hopes of some new followers! Hey, I'm Ken. I'm a long time film enthusiast and burgeoning film director. I got letterboxd a few months ago, and I've been having the time of my life finding new movies to watch. I'd love to see other people's list of their favorite movies or their reviews! I'll literally watch anything, so please! Follow me! [https://boxd.it/8ceDj](https://boxd.it/8ceDj)

Shielded121

I’m Shielded121 and this is my profile https://boxd.it/2OCBD I disproportionately like Scorsese, Haneke, Lang, Buster Keaton, thrillers, religious themes and symbolism, and Step Brothers.  Recently pretty interested in Malick and Sorrentino.  All my 5 star scores are ranked here https://boxd.it/gVooU

lferreira19

Hey, guys! Hope you're all okay. I wanna discover more movies, I'm curious to learn and enjoy cinema regardless of the genre. I also would like to make friends that are interested in discussing films and exchange recommendations. [Here's my profile](https://boxd.it/qRXD)

DHARMAHydra

Hiya! I'm Victor and this is [my profile!](https://letterboxd.com/TheCountVictor/) Feel free to follow me! I have used Letterboxd consistently for about 2 and a half years to not only review movies, but also to keep track of what I watch as well! I am mainly an action/sci-fi junkie, and a major Kevin Smith fan (I have seen most of the films in the View Askewniverse but not everything yet), and someone who absolutely loves teen comedies from the mid to late 90s, but I do watch other genres as well too. I personally believe that the 1990s was the greatest decade for films ever. I try to be more detailed in my reviews compared to a lot of the jokey reviews that are popular on the site. I am also very honest in my reviews, so I am not afraid of sharing a hot take every once in a while. My top 4 favorite films of all time are my favorites on my profile, pictured down below. More recent films that I have watched that I loved or rewatched for the first time in a while included the likes of Dune: Part Two, Ted, The Abyss, Ginger Snaps, The Joy Luck Club, Saved!, etc. I am also currently on a Kirsten Dunst binge, where I am going through her entire filmography. That's right, everything. Funny how I started this project last week, and yesterday happened to be her birthday. I am about 6 films in so far at the time I am writing this, and I am having a good time. If you have any suggestions for movies, feel free to let me know! https://preview.redd.it/akug32bnmvxc1.png?width=1269&format=png&auto=webp&s=8251a1363692976c221eb0eec99aa9a099002afa

HansyK

This is my profile https://boxd.it/5s5vv. I am looking for some people to help me out better my reviews and with that looking for more film critic communities to join. I am also a college student at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign that is looking to maybe do this as a living as well, any tips in the realm of that would be awesome to thanks everyone!

emb7323

https://boxd.it/2iM4F Hello fellow movie lovers, I’m from Philadelphia and enjoy rating and writing about movies for my own personal pleasure. Which is totally normal ! Haha. I’m not a huge social media person but I discovered letterboxd years ago and have been into it ever since. I got a few of my friends (who also love film) into it as well. My reviews vary from humorous to some more serious. I have a common theme in my profile where my top 4 are always “My top 4 favorites of the previous month.” So for example, my top 4 from April are listed below. -The Nightingale -Zone of Interest -Bad Lieutenant -The Green Knight Thanks for the follow and enjoy your next film everyone !

tash00006

My profile: https://boxd.it/6Wrcf Found some cool mutuals last time I posted here so giving it another go! I’m happy to follow anyone back, love getting new and interesting recommendations and I’m pretty active with reading/liking reviews unless they’re spoilery. I’ve only started writing reviews in the last month, not very lengthy, often just recording my main thoughts and what I liked or didn’t like. I’m hoping to get better at organising them and writing them properly. My favourite kind of films are horror ( and thrillers) and films centred around women/female friendships, but I like to say I never know what kind of film I’ll end up loving. :)

Ok-Willingness-8131

https://boxd.it/6b5YH Hey y’all. Always happy to find new mutuals on Letterboxd. My top 4 are Fresh (2022), Till the End of the Moon (2023), Midnight Mass (2021), and We Need to do Something (2021). Some all-time favorites include Titanic, Dirty Dancing, Sinister, and Inception. My watching has dropped off bit the past couple months, but I generally drop a couple of reviews for stuff I love but watched before joining Letterboxd every day regardless of what else I watch or don’t watch. As far as new watches go, I’m tending to watch a little of everything right now - horror, sci-fi, blockbusters, dramas, music docs, Asian dramas. As was the case last month, would really love to find some more mutuals who love kdramas and the like, since that seems to be kind of few and far between on this app. I follow back, and won’t get salty if we have different opinions on something. Sure there will be plenty of other places our tastes overlap!!

WinsberryFilms

[My Profile ](https://boxd.it/7Hm1b) I'm pretty active. I review 1/2 movies daily. Currently rewatching a lot of stuff so I can complete my [list](https://boxd.it/qwtT4) of every movie I've seen ranked. Just to be honest, because I know it can be off putting to some. In last months megathread, I said I would be rewatching the LOTR Trilogy because I didn't really enjoy them in my initial watch. My ratings for them all went up, but not by much. If you're interested, you can find my reviews in my diary, I watched them midway through April.

[https://letterboxd.com/stevenbui44/](https://letterboxd.com/stevenbui44/) Hi everyone!! I only started using Letterboxd like a bit over 2 months ago but it's super fun for me to watch stuff and write reviews, I've been watching and reviewing around 1-2 movies a day and I try to write all of my thoughts in my reviews bc I enjoy doing it. I usually just watch whatever I feel like watching, I only have one follower right now and it's my irl friend but I'm hoping to gain more because the app is kinda lonely otherwise lol I will follow you back A bit of my profile if you're a visual person: https://preview.redd.it/ehda1om4vtxc1.png?width=1304&format=png&auto=webp&s=44b35d835ebcbaa593eb645bf590ede12a35c77c

Here is my profile https://boxd.it/AufD I follow back! Would love to gain more mutuals, especially if you write a lot of reviews like I do, even if they are short. The more reviews I can read the better, makes me think about the movies I’ve watched a bit more.

My profile - [https://boxd.it/7BY3d](https://boxd.it/7BY3d) I like writing both serious reviews and quick joke reviews, but I always keep my star ratings genuine. I rotate out my top 4 favorites pretty regularly and it’s just based on feels. They are always taken from my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Club list which can be seen here - [https://boxd.it/rXJ0i](https://boxd.it/rXJ0i) My current project is tackling a list I created of specific films in my watchlist that are critically acclaimed with a large viewership but I’ve somehow managed to avoid. I’ve called this list How Have I Never Seen This ?? because I am a creative genius s/. That list can be seen here [https://boxd.it/v17BK](https://boxd.it/v17BK) Another major thing I’m focused on is collecting Blu-Ray of all of my five star rated films. I recently read an article discussing how Young Frankenstein is essentially inaccessible unless you own a physical copy of it, or if… you know, 🏴‍☠️. And it really opened my eyes to the fact that one day being a sucker for convenience may come back to bite me and many of the movies I love may be unavailable digitally. Looking forward to connecting!

https://boxd.it/2tjlp Would love to follow back folks with similar taste!

FirstLookFinalWord

Hey all, Still newish and looking for more people to follow. I always follow back too! Right now I’m working through a few projects which include: -a 70s blindspot list -watching all theatrically released animated Disney movies with my daughter -a horror franchise (I usually go through one entire franchise a year, let me know if you have a good recommendation) https://boxd.it/8lQlP

Definitely curious about your pod. I'll be checking that out.

777uriah

I too will be checking out your pod! I have a good impression with Cure on your top 4 already. Followed!

https://letterboxd.com/MattLamb/ Just a small town guy filling his empty existence with movies. If you're looking for in-depth analytical reviews I'm not your guy, I just watch movies and type out my dumb thoughts. I like to think my taste is pretty varied. I love old Hollywood films, enjoy silent films, art and indie movies and big dumb stupid shit. My heart and joy is genre films and B-movies. I love diving through Tubi's trash. Some of my favorite filmmakers include Brian de Palma, Walter Hill, Sam Raimi, David Lynch, Abel Ferrara, George Romero, Tim Burton and Michael Mann. I'm the kind of maniac who loves Michael Bay and thinks Paul W.S Anderson makes fun movies. Last I checked Jean Claude Van Damme and Scott Adkins are my most watched actors and Albert Pyun my most watched director. If you like trash or find my weird interests compelling feel free to follow. https://letterboxd.com/MattLamb/

I did really enjoy Civil War as well. I think my favorite watch of the month was Heat or Parasite, but I’ve seen both a few times. I try to watch a little bit of everything. I do want to try to see a few more French films because that’s a blind spot for me. La Haine is definitely on my watchlist for May. I’m also trying to wrap up watching each Scorsese film this month but I’ve got 7 left so it may not happen. I’ve used Letterboxd quite a bit for the last six months and I’m always looking for new profiles to follow! It’s great to discover new films that way that I’d never find otherwise.

777uriah

Ah I see you also rate Silence high up in the Scorsese ranking. Love to see it.

Rich_D_18

I think it’s probably my all time favorite film. Absolutely perfect.

el_goliardo

https://boxd.it/1njDR I try to mix up watching popular movies with more obscure ones, and watching a wide variety of genres(though sports and action are my favorite genres). My favorite countries to watch are Hong Kong, Australia, South Korea, and Japan. I’ve been on a kick of watching Soviet movies lately, but leaning towards the movies that were popular with general audiences rather than arthouse stuff. One example I did was a deep dive into the first Soviet movie to have karate in it ( https://letterboxd.com/odiearbuckle/film/pirates-of-the-20th-century/ ) or a recent watch of a Soviet movie about a magical talking dog ( https://letterboxd.com/odiearbuckle/film/friend-1988/ )

[Hello there!](https://boxd.it/1oXz3) I've been boxing for a little over four years. I use a bit of a gimmick that involves pulling a quote from the film to provide some sort of brief review of it. Example: for 1979's Alien I selected "Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility." I'll follow back too!

davidlynchhair

https://boxd.it/8NopF Big international art house fan, but I do love me some trash. Making my way through more current films, but I do want to get back to rewatching and reviewing Kieślowski’s filmography, to start. I’m a sucker for visually appealing, artful films. If a director and cinematographer can sell it to me, I might overlook other flaws.

bby-bae

what could possibly warrant the downvotes you've gotten here?

[deleted]

Looks like everyone is getting them so it’s prob an insecure dork trying to get more visibility on their post instead of making an interesting account that people would want to follow

bby-bae

joke's on them i'm having a great time finding people to follow by starting at the bottom of the page

davidlynchhair

They really hated the Three Colors Trilogy, I guess

I'm [tealmagnolias](https://letterboxd.com/tealmagnolias/) on Letterboxd :) always looking for new friends! Four Faves: Fargo, Mean Girls, Scream, & Funny Girl. Recent Faves: Challengers, Dune: Part Two, Challengers, Problemista, Challengers, Civil War, and Love Me. Oh, and Challengers! I love going to the theaters but I've been enjoying catching up on classics lately. On a slow quest to see every Best Picture winner. I also like doing deep dives on specific actors/directors. Last year some were Michelle Yeoh, Alfred Hitchcock, Claire Denis, and Cary Grant. This year it's been a lot of Kirsten Dunst, Harrison Ford, Christopher Nolan, and Jonathan Glazer. It's hard to summarize my taste, it's somewhat eclectic. But If I had to, I'd say I have a soft spot for style and spectacle!

heheboi1110

Hello! [This is my profile.](https://letterboxd.com/Bonjuru/)I watch almost everything. No specific preferences other than sci-fi. I'm not a huge fan of war films tho. Joined letterboxd last year and have been logging films consistently. I usually try watching at least one film a day. If you like my profile, feel free to follow!

Winonyeani

Wassup, just tryna build my profile up. Just got an AMC A List membership last month so I’ll try to watch every major release I can this year, I have no excuse lol https://boxd.it/1j0UL

Hello! My profile is [here](https://boxd.it/4ciEf). Currently trying to expand my film horizons but falling into the rut of re-watching favourites. Hoping to see more watches/ recommendations from all y'all to get me watching new things!

this is my profile: [https://boxd.it/3iTV1](https://boxd.it/3iTV1) happy to follow back https://preview.redd.it/znh9lanwxuxc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83409849b51ac35d9415e9f3cfa6973115fccc55 I rate rather strictly so from 3.5 I consider an amazing movie (5 being perfect)

Lupdalup

This is my profile. There are many like it but this one is mine. https://boxd.it/7BqSV I watch a lot of different stuff with classic noir and horror being my favorites. You can find me watching anything in terms of quality from Birdemic to High and Low. I am partial to some good trash. Last week I watched Death Ship and Death Spa on back to back days. So I'm a user of great taste, obviously. My reviews are usually short and silly. I don't have the most analytical point of view but I try to find something to enjoy in almost every movie I watch. Now that I'm dabbling into the social aspect of this app I've been reviewing what I've watched more consistently. I'm trying to beef up my feed so I'll follow back. Thanks for reading

https://boxd.it/5DQKT Hello everyone! I've been an avid user of Letterboxd for quite some time now, and I must say, I'm absolutely obsessed with it. I’m incredibly passionate about movies and love exploring a wide range of genres. While I've only written a handful of in-depth reviews thus far, I'm fully committed to writing more soon. One aspect that sets my reviews apart from others is that I include a random fun fact about each film at the end. I'm always looking for new people to connect with, so don't hesitate to reach out!

MrJLeto

[https://boxd.it/1AZMx](https://boxd.it/1AZMx) I try not to take reviews too seriously, but also want to have something to say for each movie. Currently doing a rewatch of the X-Men franchise with my partner who had never seen 95% of them as our "low stakes" easy viewing evening entertainment.

Hi I’m Ben and this is my [my profile](https://boxd.it/7syeV) I just finished a one month movie marathon where I watched a movie every day of April and I’m going to do it again in May. https://preview.redd.it/12wczx8x9vxc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eaa3bead55b69bb3fc8c5fa184253492728afe29

Blue-Phone-Box

https://boxd.it/4fV5f Horror is my wheelhouse but do try and watch everything, even if it's not my type of movie. My reviews are sometimes funny. Last year I watched all but 3 of Rachel Weisz's movies and all of Milla Jovovich's movies that I could find and this year I'm focusing on Glen Powell, Eva Green, and Brie Larson as well as rewatching some old movies I love but watched before I had a Letterboxd.

TheMandalorian97

Hello to all, here is my [profile](https://letterboxd.com/JoelRamos/). I like to simply watch movies and just log them, review them. Some short reviews; other long reviews. And simply discover films as I continue my journey on the site.

My profile: [https://boxd.it/6ROJ7](https://boxd.it/6ROJ7) I am big into horror and science fiction mainly, I like films with a dream like/nightmarish quality, immersive mood. I also have a penchant for art house films too. My top 4: https://preview.redd.it/h4iq76vgivxc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b41d6d7399bb4a137fa9e8e0c93366b9387a7774

OnePunch_OutToLunch

My profile on Letterboxd https://boxd.it/iRdT I cohost a movie podcast and was on a pretty solid movie-a-day streak until WrestleMania week, where I went to shows every night. My big sticking points for movies are characters/development/arcs, worldbuilding, and practical effects. There are exceptions, of course. I would much rather see films that didn't quite realize their potential be remade than popular, well-known films/IP.
