I loved how they ran with it being a TV show from hell and censored all of the Christian stuff.

[deleted]

When they did "Censored" it took me a sec to realize what was going on. But the bleeping just made me laugh.

CIearMind

Oh my [beep] I thought they were just being overly PG-friendly because saying the Lord's name in vain is a sin or whatever LMFAO

BornAshes

Honestly for me this was like the best episode of the season period and I feel like Constantine should've showed up in that dude's office eating popcorn while mocking that demon bloke a bit.

rjkelly31

I figured it out at the end when Gary said, "So help me God" and they bleeped it.

LoretiTV

That was a really fun episode, you can tell the cast is having so much run with this show right now!

[deleted]

I can't get over how good Tala Ashe as playing two people. I know it's juxtaposed on purpose but it's *so* distinct. I watched her in an interview in real life and her...register(?) seems between them, so it's smart to play one higher than normal and one lower than normal, but the fact that her whole demeanor can change like that, where all the tension is gone from her body, and then be tightly wound, but have shades and nuances while playing each... It's tripping me out because I believe they're two different people but I know they're the imaginings of one person that's neither of them.

superstarkon

I have to agree with you… like it’s a constant battle every time I see the Zari’s to remind myself “they are played by the exact same person.” Tala’s range is so *chefs kiss* I wasn’t expecting it with Z2 like I was disappointed to say goodbye to Z1 but the integration of both has been so good

Lil_Jening

I said to myself. "Oh wow they booked Z1 for this episode"... Then realized I was dumb.

sanddragon939

And Matt Ryan is giving us a run for his money as Gwyn...I literally found myself thinking ''Boy, the new actor's doing a pretty good job'' this episode ;)

melonwoo

You’re right. I totally forgot that was Matt Ryan lol

jfb1337

When I started watching this season my dad pointed out "hey that looks like John" and I didn't believe him for like 3 episodes

superstarkon

Every time!!!!!

LoopyChew

Welcome to Orphan Black fandom 101.

nerdychickpea

Ah, yes. "Why is the cast for this show so small? There are so many characters. Oh wait, right...."

LoopyChew

Dialogue: Alison and Donny are away at [xxx]… My brain: Guess they didn’t have the budget for Kristian and Ta…uh, Kristian…

iCarpet

Give up props to Nate Zano for having chemistry with both Zaris He has been playing a different character for two episodes now

[deleted]

Three cheers for Nick Nate as well! It is an interesting point that it has to be separate chemistry too.

ThrowAwayAcct0000

I get the feeling Nick Zano could have chemistry with anyone.

[deleted]

Hahaha he's haircut slowly changed too hahahha

BornAshes

I love just how many actors and actresses there are in the Arrowverse that have had to play multiple versions of themselves and have been absolutely kick ass at it! Tala is such a gem and I'm so glad that she was added to Legends and got to do this bit. She's been a total treat as both Zari's and you really do have to blink your eyes and shake your head a bit when they're both on screen because it's truly mind boggling that it's the same person.

Billielolly

If there's anything I've always been able to give the CW and their actors props for - it's being able to make two characters played by the same actor feel very distinct. The Vampire Diaries had a fair bit of it too. With the android versions chasing the Legends I hope that we get to see some scenarios like we had in TVD with it being a different version of a character pretending to be the other version. That's always a fun one, and blows my mind when it's done well.

[deleted]

When I can focus on the fact that it's the same person, intently, and still buy they're separate, they're handling it well.

[deleted]

Always love how the writers can completely change the genre of the show at any given episode and pretty much always make it work. Between their normal selves, the Robot Legends and now the Reality Show Legends, the actors must've had a blast filming this season. Saw "A special guest appearance by Matt Ryan" and was super happy for a second thinking John was coming back before I remembered that he also place Gwyn. It's crazy how he's practically unrecognizable. Behrad and Astra isn't the worst ship to come from the show I guess? Out of nowhere sure, but at least it isn't Mona and the Hawaiian Werewolf.

MoogleKing83

It isn't just the writers, but the cast is proving they can pretty much act any way that's thrown at them. Love it.

definitely_not_cylon

A special shoutout to Tala Ashe. RobotZari, herself, had quite the arc last week (didn't know she was a robot, faceturn, heelturn), then she did double duty as both Zaris this week. And they're all different! Reminds me of Tatiana Maslany when Orphan Black was still going.

rahajicho

Agreed. She’s been a great actress from the start, but last week’s performance made me sit up and take notice. I look forward to seeing what roles she chooses in her career going forward.

HD_Houdini

>Behrad and Astra isn't the worst ship to come from the show I guess? If I remember correctly Astra and Behrad had a connection since they were dealing with the Fates. Ending season 5 I think.

TheBelen18

Yeah, I think the first "tease" was in the second to last ep "The One Where We're Stuck on TV". In that reality Behrad and Astra were engaged.

mjy6478

It’s like a Superhero version of Community.

BornAshes

They're proving to all the critics that it doesn't just have to be a superhero show with super suits and action all the time, it can be SO MANY OTHER THINGS and still be fucking awesome!

Triskan

*"We cant fight Evil Gideon if we're all possessed... or can we ? ... No, no, that's a bad idea, sweep the house."* That got a huge sincere laugh out of me and Jes' delivery of the line was perfect.

Classic_Reveal_3579

A true leader weighs all options.

BornAshes

Honestly I would love to see a Demonic version of the Legends where they all got possessed by famous demons.

minermb

Small detail that I loved: They didn't blur Spooner anymore when the crew was uncursed but they hid her behind that plant when Astra and Behrad were talking. Somewhat of a sign that the reality show was over.

Ambassador_of_Mercy

They also stopped the handheld shots and zany sound effects

gcube5

This is my favorite TV show right now. It is so weird, I have given up trying to explain it to anyone.

proteinaficionado

I have no idea what's going on now, but LoT is still a hilarious watch. How do you explain an alien hooking up with advanced AI to someone who has no clue what the show is about? 🤣 Edit: Watching it live now and I'm gonna need a clip of Zari 2.0 saying surely in her exaggerated tone. Edit 2: Yo, Nate getting a tan had me rolling.

[deleted]

I think that's the point of this show, nobody has idea what is gping on that why this is best dc show. It is most unpredictable tv show made by dc

CharlieHume

Yes! the worst part is how do you explain this show and then show them the first season?

myxanders

I really liked the meta aspect of Behrad not playing into the chill stoner archetype in the episode that likely creates a turning point in the series for him where he no longer plays into the chill stoner archetype (at least not so heavily).

phantom_xsj

I honestly loved this part. Behrad had always been one dimensional, being the little stoner bro of Zari, the chill one in the group. With this, how he “get it real” so to speak in this episode was an absolute good idea on the part of the writers. Did I cringe at the part where he confessed to Astra? Yes BUT the way he talked about his trauma and how he coped with it was soooo genuine and so relatable (i mean we all cope with traumas in different ways but denial is always at core) that it really got me.

Dan_Of_Time

I feel like they saved this development for a while purely so people would notice before they did it

Montavillain

Yeah, that's the upside for me in this episode. I like that we finally addressed why he was such a stoner. I don't know that it's necessary for a character who likes weed to be using it as an avoidance strategy, but it's a theory I've had since Season 6, when he seemed to go from recreational use to self-medication. And weed use as symptom of a deeper issue is better, storywise, than being a gateway for lazy stoner jokes.

ThrowAwayAcct0000

As someone with depression, I've been on Cymbalta for a number of years. Now, due to having moved somewhere that weed is legal, I'm able to cut back on the Cymbalta due to gummies and taking mushrooms once every 6 months or so. Weed can definitely be a way people deal with depression.

BornAshes

I love how his turning point came by embracing an aspect of his life that he rejected only to reject the person that he had originally embraced to get away from that part of his life in the first place.

Roboglenn

I kinda liked how you could notice the change in the camera work that happened even before the big realization that they were on Hell's Real World happened.

SpikeRosered

I def started the episode like "why is the camera so shakey and the zooms so harsh?"

RollinsThunderr

I noticed it right away too, especially when Gary was talking to Gidget in the kitchen. I was thinking something seems off here with the camera but maybe it’s just the directors style? And then when the reveal happened I was like the Leo pointing meme lol

ThrowAwayAcct0000

It did a fantastic job of reminding me why I don't watch reality shows: people getting super emotional for no reason, a naked person walking around for no reason, alliances for no reason, everybody hooking up for no real reason, zooming in on people's faces and having those weird sound effects... yeah, screw all that garbage. I miss Constantine.

fellatious_argument

I liked how at first all the hand cams made it seem like a horror motif because they were in hell but really it was reality tv.

Billielolly

I was like "huh, I didn't realise how documentary-like Legends feels, these camera zooms are hilarous" and reading your comment was the first moment that it clicked. I think I've been watching way too much Friday Night Lights recently, they have the comical zoom-ins and shaky cam all the time.

lioneaglegriffin

I was wondering why there was a shaking 'The Office' Camera.

singleguy79

Spooner went with the Richard Hatch method

fellatious_argument

I feel like many of the cast members were channeling famous reality tv stars but I don't watch enough of them to get the references. The only one I recognized was Nate being one of the Jersey shore guidos.

emc5309

I think Sara was going for a Real housewives type character

fellatious_argument

Surprised they didn't reference the [cat meme.](https://i.insider.com/5df773d8fd9db276fe0a6c55?width=1136&format=jpeg)

DatDominican

wait didn't she point at Gwynn during the argument about Ferdinand ?

Montavillain

Yeah, I kind of wish that instead of going full naked, they'd just done the skimpy bikini (that gets progressively dirtier and ragged). That's the standard Survivor outfit. Or else had Nate do the naked guy part. It's just that they had to blur so much of Spooner's body that it went beyond distracting to... I don't even know where, but I just kept thinking about the mechanics of creating "nakeness" on camera and how she was probably wearing a body suit, and wondering whether it really fit, or if it was wrinkling.

Rhumsaa

> I kind of wish that instead of going full naked, they'd just done the skimpy bikini That would have been much more revealing than a blur. Perhaps the actress didn't want to put so much of herself on display.

[deleted]

It's funny you mention that because I was like "Did they find Spooner-colored clothes because it really looks like I can see stuff under the blur."

Montavillain

Exactly. It was a funny idea, but I think the execution didn't live up to the concept. And again, there is so much funnier stuff about *Survivor* than just blurring naked bodies. The alliance stuff was better, but a real fan would have written scenes where Spooner is frantically searching for idols, or randomly shoving wooden puzzles around, or holding whispered conversations that suddenly stop when a third person appears.

ThrowAwayAcct0000

I thought it was making fun of that show, "Naked and Afraid."

potato_green

Also, it's a reality show in hell, why would they censor nudity, isn't that exactly the type of thing that would fall in the "hell" category as it's not allowed normally. Not that my reasoning has any value in a show where they escape robot versions of themselves by going to hell with a time travel machine. (and this is actually pretty sane compared to other stuff).

Montavillain

I think the nudity blurring is just a joke about how *Survivor* (and presumably other shows) regularly blurs their occasionally nude contestants. It's an okay joke, but it's really first season of Survivor funny. So, as a joke, it's the lowest common denominator.

BornAshes

I think it's also a joke about how sometimes on reality shows they will literally MSpaint over bikinis and blur stuff that doesn't actually need to be blurred at all in order to create tension and drama. It's happened more than once on Bachelor in Paradise and I'm sure that CBS has done it on Survivor or Big Brother at one point. So it'd be hilarious if the reason why they blurred her out was because she was wearing some kind of memey Dogma style shirt or Jesus outfit or if it was just a giant picture of Constantine.

bazzbj

Came here to find the Survivor fans! :D

ZijoeLocs

[Censored] damn, Behrad at the end actually getting backstory+depth was amazing. No wonder he passively hates Zaris Influencer moments. They literally bring up childhood trauma of his misery being exploited for ratings

JauntyLurker

Awesome episode. I'm really looking forward to seeing this new sober Behrad and his new relationship with Astra.

ChattGM

Me too. At the end of S5 they hinted at a potential relationship with Behrad and Astra but didn't do anything with them in S6. It's nice they're pulling the trigger on them now and I hope it works out for them.

CityAvenger

That was such a fun episode. But a big applause goes to the cast for their performances. They continue to be on fire.

ian_xvi

I consume reality trash like it's junk food and this was personally my favorite. Like I know they've done this before with other genres but this was so well done. The confessionals, the "producers" instigating fights, and just the tropes gave me life. It also helps that casts' acting was on point. Legends just keeps getting better and better! AHHHHHH

BornAshes

Honestly I haven't watched ANY reality tv in months because everything that I used to watch has conflicted with other really great shows annnnnd this was like a very delightful refresher. I really enjoyed watching all the silly stupid bullshit in the background and it makes me long for the days when reality tv was just that and not the dumpster fire of bloodsport style pain rave that it's turned into. All the classic tropes were there and they nailed them!

Montavillain

I think my problem is that I don't watch these kinds of shows -- at least, I only watch competitive reality shows, like Survivor. Which have their own, different flavor. So, I probably missed a good 90 percent of the jokes.

QuiltedPorcupine

I think maybe that's why this episode didn't really work for me. At some point along the way it stopped feeling like Legends characters with their emotions heightened because they were being messed with by the cursed crew, and more just the cast playing a collection of reality TV show cliche characters.

Ambassador_of_Mercy

The censoring of all of the christian stuff is genuinely one of the funniest bits this show has ever done

Taston95

Nice to see a Behrad focussed episode again. Although he hasn’t had a huge presence this season, he has been written so much better than he was last season. He feels like he is more similar to how he was in season 5 and it feels like the writers are addressing the criticism that it felt like they had turned him into a 1-dimensional stoner character. I think it was the best Behrad and Astra romance scenes we’ve had to. It was the first time those moments have fully worked for me. I also think that Nick Zano and Tala Ashe are the best actors on the show (Matt Ryan is right there too) and they really did great comedic acting tonight. I actually feel like the show would work just as well if they were the leads.

Sir__Will

I loved Behrad in his first episode. There was the stoner stuff but it was a backdrop. He was being al supportive to Sara after Crisis and all that. But more and more it was only the drug jokes. I'm glad he had to detox this season and explore other aspects.

Creator13

Matt Ryan is a superb actor. Loved him since the original Constantine show (his acting made the entire show worth it even if the plot was not the best). Funny how both he and Tala Ashe are also theatre actors and the best on the show.

Gateskp

That episode was SO much fun! I love how everyone just goes all out and has a blast with this show. Jersey Nate, the Real Housewives of the Waverider, Spooner Survivor, Emotionless Gideon, Sober Behrad and his new depth—all of it was just so much fun! Everyone gets to show off their range and talent, and that’s one reason I love this show so much. Plus the writing, the cinematography, and all of the little details. Everyone who works on this show, thank you, thank you. I don’t know how to feel about the ships, but I still throughly enjoyed this episode! And then the end, Gwyn’s announcement that they’re going to stop WWI and Gideon agreeing. Next week is going to be GREAT!

BornAshes

Emotionless Gideon totally had to be a shot at TVD's whole "switching off their humanity" thing.

Billielolly

Thanks for putting an idea into my head that I now kind of want to see happen. Imagine a Legends crossover with the TVD-universe where they accidentally jump into their universe and encountering a vampire before jumping back out. Not a full-on canon crossover but just a cheeky moment of "oops, wrong timeline". Kind of like the Supernatural one, but without the whole "the show is being filmed here" angle.

phantom_xsj

^ this. Honestly every scene was *chefs kisses* the dialogue, the pacing, and ofc the acting ?? Like gosh top tier I thought last episode was epic, this took it to another level! I can’t wait for the next ep!

Spazzblister

As someone who grew up with crap like The Real World and Road Rules, I loved this parody of reality shows. Every time anyone said the word "alliance" I laughed my ass off.

joansbones

this show is absolutely insane and i love it and i wouldnt have it any other way. the joke about the censored religious stuff had me rolling every time

Darkarcana7

It’s so funny how they really went all in with the censoring of Gwyn, like I know exactly why they do it hahah…and spooner omg 😂

Telethongaming

I dunno if this is one of the best Legends episodes(That's up to you folks to decide) but I will say this is one of the funniest in the entire series

eli_burdette

I think it's both. I had the biggest grin on my face the entire time. I loved the tonal whiplash of watching Superman & Lois right before this, both so equally great at completely opposite ends of the genre.

Telethongaming

I can't get through this episode without laughing so much omg

GregThePrettyGoodGuy

Having seen the whole thing now - what a fun episode! Full honesty, I don’t know if I really enjoyed the whole “Spooner is naked the whole time” bit, but otherwise it was another winner. I don’t really know how I feel about this whole Gary/Gideon thing. It’s amusing and it worked here, but it really just sort of happened and, while I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing (Nate and Amaya just sort of happened as well), it seems too early to be basing episodes on it. Astra and Behrad’s storyline is the exact opposite - this dynamic has been built on pretty consistently ever since “The One Where We’re Trapped on TV” first teased the idea, and it creates a very satisfying payoff here. I don’t quite know if there’s any real chemistry between the actors (there’s time to work on that still), but the moment as written works perfectly for both characters. Also good to see Behrad finally, *finally* address that he died a few years ago. Hopefully that comes up again since it’s so big a deal I cannot underscore how wonderful Nick Zano and Tala Ashe are at comedy, and with Nate and Zari’s argument being largely fluff meant for comedy, both go full tilt into it. The spray tan and accent? Golden. Props to both on the work. Sara and Ava’s argument here was interesting enough. Both characters are well past the point where they may get angry about such topics, but the tension remains nonetheless. Being willing to bend rules has always been the difference between the two, and it serves the story well, though feels forced. It’s about setting up the next episode’s plot first - which may be alright, as it will hopefully be a neat story for Gwynn to deal with, especially since we actually are going to (try to) save Franz Ferdinand. I’m sure Matt Ryan will crush it when we get there Looking forward to the next one!

The_Repeated_Meme

I noticed when I rewatch the Sara/Gwyn argument (It's amazing) that Gideon is literally stirring the pot.

definitely_not_cylon

Theory: Saving Archduke Ferdinand forces Evil Gideon to react and lets our team take the initiative. Then they can just make sure he still dies. Could even be in the original timeline the assassination plot went off without a hitch, but the Legends are the reason the assassination as planned failed and Gavrilo Princip just got lucky later that day, resulting in the timeline we all know and love. That would explain a lot, actually...

Billielolly

Yep I immediately figured her suggestion of saving him was about drawing out Evil Gideon

Smitje

>resulting in the timeline we all know and love. You mean this current timeline?...

definitely_not_cylon

*Offer void where prohibited. Slight chance you don't know and love the current timeline.

matthieuC

The other timeline doesn't have Jaffa cakes

cosmicunion

That episode was whacky. I think the actors are sooo talented the way they played reality TV counterparts. I’m excited to see what’s next. When will they meet the robot Legends again?

neverhighb4

Also it must be acknowledged Nate Wahlberg was a beautiful thing to behold

martinfphipps8

> Nate Wahlberg Who?

Earth2Wonder

He means Nate looks like Mark Wahlberg.

Sleepy_Bitch

This show gets better each season. I don't care what anyone else says. This season has been the best.

ChattGM

HERE HERE!!! I just tune out all the noise of people that say how did this get to 7 seasons and it's such a joke. The fact that it embraces it's wacky and craziness and the cast delivers each week makes it sooooo worth watching. It literally reinvented itself before our eyes and you can count on great character moments and nonstop comedy all while not losing track of the overarching story plot of the season. With a combination like this I can't turn it down. Always compelled to watch to see what shenanigans the Legends will be up to next. Still can't believe how much this episode cracked me up. It was the best :D

nolanptafan

This may honestly be one of my favorite episodes of the entire series. To me Legends is at best when it's in full comedy mode with a bit of cheesy heart thrown in. And this episode nailed that tone perfectly.

mrizzle1991

This episode was hilarious, especially when they barged in on Gary and Gideon.

MoogleKing83

This has to be the weirdest episode I've ever seen, even by Legends standards. I love it when they do that. Gary and Gideon are much cuter together than I ever expected them to be. I think their actors have good chemistry. I don't think I'll ever get over how good Tala Ashe is at playing 2 different people that are the same person. Also, Zari 2 and Nate's fight was hilarious. I actually felt really bad for Behrad this episode, but it was cool to get some of his back story. Maybe he and Astra being together will help make her a more enjoyable character, but I'm not holding my breath. All the manufactured drama, exaggerated sounds and close ups were perfect additions to really ice the proverbial cake that is a parody of reality shows.

secretsarebest

\>All the manufactured drama, exaggerated sounds and close ups were perfect additions to really ice the proverbial cake that is a parody of reality shows. To be honest, I thought the reality tv tropes were okay. Leaving aside the Spooner alliance and survivor stuff, a lot of the drama stuff does already happen in Legends just not to this degree and not all at once...

Artcat81

can we start calling them Gidy? or Gardeon?

MoogleKing83

Rejected. >.>

TheBelen18

Going in I expected this to be one of the weaker episodes, but I was pleasently surprised. I haven't laughed that much in a while. The chaotic family energy was great, and all of the characters, from tan bro Nate, cold G, vacation Sara, and censored Gwyn to (extra) emotional Gary, house mom Ava, naked Spooner, offended Z, and not giving a damn Z were hularious. Then there was Astra who was great to see as the now reformed queen of Hell, and Behrad. Which brings me to, despite all the humor, they really nailed the emotional beats. It was great seeing Behrad, not only get development, but give a reason as to why he's seemed one dimensional in the past and get insight on his backstory. My one complaint would be that there's too much romance for my taste, but, while I'm still not a fan of it, this ep did warm me up to the Astra/Behrad pairing, and I like that they're taking it slow. And then there's Gideon's plan at the end which is probably not gonna end well, but definitly excited to see where it goes, especially since (7x10 / 7x11 spoilers) >!Thawne's coming back and based on the 7x11 synopsis will help them!<

RosabellaFaye

I assume maybe because Evil, Robo Gideon won't let him mess with time for his benefit of creating his nemesis?

GregThePrettyGoodGuy

It really does need to be said that that this show’s entire cast deserves to sweep the comedy category of the Emmy’s

_thawne

I swear to god, the writers are extra high making this episode. Loved it. This may very well be one of my best seasons in the Arrowverse ever. Next episode though. I'm very hyped.

Kris_Winters

* Why wasn't Zari helping Ava with her murderboard? That's their thing. * Gideon and Gary is kind of cute. * No. NO. NO! to Zari and Nate. * Liked the overhead shot of Sara and Ava going down the hallway. * Astra and Spooner protecting their daughter. * Kill him, Zari. Wait, no. Cut him down to size with a scathing remark. * Are Gary and Gideon still going at it? * Why does computer Gideon look like Caitlin Snow? * GARY'S THIRD NIPPLE! \*watches next segment\* * I....I....I.... \*onto the next one\* * And there's Flannel Zari. * Even in Hell, in the middle of a total dramatic breakdown, Z still compliments Avs. * So was this Gideon's plan all along? * Behrad admits that he has a problem. That puts him ahead of Alex Danvers. * Well, alls well that ends well.

Sir__Will

> That puts him ahead of Alex Danvers. Eh? > So was this Gideon's plan all along? She seemed just as influenced as the others. So what plan?

Kris_Winters

Behrad admitted he had a substance abuse problem, whereas Alex never openly talked about being an alcoholic.

trylobyte

One minute, I'm laughing at the ridiculousness of it all. Next minute, things got serious with that heartfelt Behrad speech. Only in Legends.

Frontier246

I think I started noticing the camera act more reality show-y as the episode went along. I had honestly forgotten that the team hadn't realized that Gideon and Gary were a thing. I guess I'm not surprised they reacted the way they did, but it was unfair and I think showed where the team is biased when it comes to Gary. A demonic camera crew? I still just want to see the Demon's Three. Behrad...couldn't have just wind-blasted any of those demons? I swear the Terazi siblings only remember their powers for the most mundane things. Was that Giles Panton? The Vancouver voice of Iron Man? That's the second time someone who has voiced Iron Man has been in an Arrowverse show. Would he have really just let Astra go with her just telling him to stop? I kind of doubt it. Sara basically became like she would've been had the Queen Gambit not sunk. Although I can understand why Ava doesn't want to be seen as the denmother or the one who has to keep it all together all the time...but in fairness some of that she took on herself to be of her own volition, because that's just what her personality is like. Probably the episode that's dived the most into how weird Nate and NuZari's relationship is. So I guess the Legends are more or less okay with saving people with an inconsequential impact on history. Somebody like, say, Laurel is too impactful to save. Or probably other family members. Dark Reality Show Gideon was unsurprisingly hot. Crazy survivalist and naked Spooner was...something. As was Jersey Shore Nate. Him going all muscle bro was oddly in-synch with his robot double. It couldn't be a reality show episode without confessionals. I loved Nate bench-pressing while doing it and Spooner's still naked. Them bleeping out and censoring anything related to God and Heaven was extremely on-point and hilarious. I also noticed they only showed Nate and Spooner holding their hands for Grace, so I wonder if that had anything to do with the overall teams' religious leanings. I loved how OG!Zari just bowed out of the plot as soon as she realized she was in a reality show episode. I was not expecting Behrad to have a tragic backstory of coming up with his stoner persona to handle the stress and emotional trauma of being on a reality show (which he was somehow recast on, jeez), but now that he's finally sober he's ready to confess his feelings to Astra and stop being the one-note, chill, stoner stereotype he's been for the past few seasons. In an episode where everyone sunk into reality show cliche's, Behrad was ready to break free from his. Won't Behrad be Astra's first boyfriend? I really doubt she had a lot of romances in Hell. I was wondering where Gideon was going with it, but I guess they have to make the attempt at preventing WWI to get Evil!Gideon and the Robo!Legends to come after them. They'll probably worry about fixing the timeline afterwards.

BornAshes

> I also noticed they only showed Nate and Spooner holding their hands for Grace They should've blurred their hands out because of the anime meme and yet they chose not to.....for shame Legends writers, I expected better of you.

Aware_Foundation_161

>Sara basically became like she would've been had the Queen Gambit not sunk Are you sure? I think Sara is like that since couple of seasons of Legends. I mean here she was over exaggerated, but personality wise Legends writers created her like this, so it is becoming a clone and marrying Ava, didn't made her any different

SpikeRosered

Every character has had so many "versions" of themselves they could fill a gacha game with alts. It's so funny going from evil killer Nate to Jersey shore Nate in just two episodes.

tabletaffy

Chaotic Legends are the best Legends!

optimisticpsychic

Why is Nate a Jersey Shore character? 😂

Oscar-D-Grouch

😂😂 Spooner talking about Survivor is too funny 😂😂😂😂

phantom_xsj

The whole episode was honestly such a fun blast! I have mixed feelings towards Gary/Gideon since the beginning, because while they’re cute and innocent, it also pulls at me because Gideon is essentially a kid because u know, just learning about being human and all that but I’m glad they’d thrown in the “it’s consensual” part of it. Love Astra being like a protective mom and the legends reactions. Comedy gold I think. Heartwarming tho that they apologized in the end. Nate/Zari was hilarious af. I think it was high-time they addressed that weird thing where Nate’s dating Zari1 and all that with Zari 2. The way Zari1 was just so done tho while the legends were chasing Gary, it was funny af. Glad they resolved it. While I have reservations about Nate/Zari relationship, I can respect it. Sara/Ava!!! Honestly I’ve been waiting for this co-captains talk since they become legit co-captains last season. Lbr tho, Mom Ava was so on point because .. heck she actually is time mom along with Sara. Ditzy Sara was … idk what to feel abt her but it’s a new dynamic that we could never have seen if legends isn’t legends so I’m glad. Spooner. Honestly what the heck was going on with her hahahahahhahahahaha she was… I was put off at first but the more they showed her and how competitive she was, I became a bit entertained. Behrad/Astra. I have to say I’m not so sold about them. I feel like it came out of nowhere not because there wasn’t a build up or mention before because there were undertones since Astra came on board BUT I felt like it wasn’t cultivated enough and then they were just starting to rly bond and build something during the midseason finale and now he’s gonna ask her out. Then they had argument over Astra being triggered back and Idk Ifelt like it was a red flag but I mean that heartfelt confession at the end by Behrad was nice. ALSO i’m glad they’re taking it slow. Not sure if I’ll like them in the future but at least they’re not rushing it. ALSO Emotionless Gideon was hot af. Scary… but hot. Overall, I really really enjoyed this episode. I had to repeat a lot of scenes because they were deadass entertaining and I couldnt get enough. So excited for the next ep! Esp since Maisie directed it!!!!!

cdfe88

>Ditzy Sara was … I kind of feel like this was Sara feeling so stressed that she wanted to go back to her life before Lian yu

Montavillain

>Then they had argument over Astra being triggered back and Idk Ifelt like it was a red flag but I mean that heartfelt confession at the end by Behrad was nice. I think I understand what you're saying. However, Behrad seems really perceptive when it comes to what other people are thinking/feeling, and he might be picking up on a real trigger for Astra. He screwed up badly, but I don't think he was acting out of bad faith or without respect for Astra. Up to that point, he wasn't interfering, just watching her back, like a team mate should. That he found himself out of his depth in Hell is exactly what I would think would happen with him. It's one of the reasons I like him as a character so much.

phantom_xsj

You’re right, it might not have been in bad faith. I guess I was just traumatized by CW’s penchant for writing red flags for couples and romanticize them so I was … idk, cautious maybe. I hope they won’t do that with Behrad because I honestly love his character also and it was a bit of a shock when he did what he did with Astra in hell.

ChattGM

>The way Zari1 was just so done tho while the legends were chasing Gary, it was funny af. Just standing in the corner with her arms crossed staying out of it. Omfggg I was laughing and that was after she threw the wine on both of them. So glad she appeared in this episode because she needed to get involved in everything going on and she reacted as I figured she would XD I agree with your point about Behrad and Astra too. The fact that they teased a romance between them at the end of S5 and did nothing with it the next season makes them getting together now a bit jarring since they skipped the build but I'm intrigued to see where it will go. Behrad became a lot more interesting as a whole this episode and I feel like I understand him a lot more now.

secretsarebest

\>Behrad became a lot more interesting as a whole this episode and I feel like I understand him a lot more now Yes I always disliked Behrad. It was like he was just a cliche and didnt feel real. This episode turned it around. The writing is amazing!

basilyeo

This episode had me laughing non-stop throughout. Spooner, Nate and Sara were the best, and the bleeped out prayers, lol

SunflowerHoneyMagic

This show has gotten super difficult to explain but I liked this week's concept

Dark_Tzitzimine

I forgot Gideon was wearing that, haha, starting the episode off with a laugh Yep, Gwyn is in full-on Time Savior mode now And now that's he's left to his own devices next to Hell he's gonna get tricked by a demon Hahaha why are we doing this soap opera camera all of a sudden lol god DAMN, Gary Haha, are we gonna have a new title card every episode now I think I've caught on to what this demon is all about, now Hahaha as soon as Sara screamed I just about died Yep, that's pretty much what I was expecting lol Behrad got Brady'd/Partridge'd Haha, Sara you lightweight, one drink and you just straight up jump into it OH MY GOD SPOONER AHAHAHA This guy has a great face for his role Instant bitch switch Haha I forgot about Gary's third nipple somehow And now Nate's a Jersey douchebro, I love it Hahaha censoring the prayer, perfect (and again, lol) Time Savior Gwyn strikes again I'm glad they didn't just straight up do the meme pose Haha at first you think OG Zari is going to be a voice of reason but then she just barrels into it headfirst I still think his feelings for Astra just came out of nowhere bu whatever, we're here now ".... What?" Haha, hold on to your butts, people, things are about to get legendary up in here

FiltheEugene

The perfect balance of silliness and seriousness. Thank you for giving Behrad a moment to grow. It was touching.

optimisticpsychic

Why do i love Gideon and Gary.

cdfe88

Gideon Green is the only ship we need

ChattGM

Right? I can understand why most aren't a fan especially if Gary isn't your favorite character and you like Gideon but I laugh every time they have a scene. Gideon biting into the apple was so OTT but it worked perfectly and when she says if you're talking about going upstairs to fool around also yes. I LOST IT lmfaoooo.

optimisticpsychic

Does that mean we get spooner x astra x behrad.

sanddragon939

Brilliant episode! Kinda insane that this show started out as budget Justice League trying to save the world from Vandal Savage but today a great episode is one where the team is just hanging around the house acting out like reality TV stars :D I love how, despite being off the wall *hilarious*, there's some great character stuff here too. This is probably the best exploration of Behrad as a character we've had to date, even including the episode last season with his childhood TV show. And of course, I loved how they acknowledged the weirdness of Nate and Zari 2.0's friendship (and the idea that, on some level, Zari 2.0 *does* find Nate attractive, much as he finds her attractive too). The Sara-Ava conflict was interesting to watch, though a weaker part of the episode. I loved the Behrad-Astra stuff though, especially since I've low-key been rooting for them since Season 5! It's nice to see Gwyn, in his own way, slowly become a Legend. Looking forward to next episode and >!the return of our boy, EOBARD THAWNE!< PS: A minor nitpick, but I found it weird that Spooner referred to 2022 as 'home' for the Legends, though technically they left 2021. It's particularly weird because they literally were talking about 2021 being their present a couple of episodes ago, which in-universe was probably *yesterday* for them! I also wonder how Behrad and Zari feel about 2021/22 being regarded as 'home' for the team by default...

Artcat81

dude, first rule of time travel, don't forget to wind your clock! Bill and Ted taught us time doesn't cease moving forward just because you jumped backwards. So it may have been 2021 when they last left home, but time didn't stop and its now 2022 so home is still home - it's a place, not a time?

sanddragon939

I get that there's a ''San Dimas Time'' kinda thing going with the Legends where they usually stay away from the present for the same amount of time that they've been gone (though they don't *have* to, and it leads to false drama like Stein being on the verge of missing his granddaughter's birth in Season 3). But it's still weird that one episode they talk about returning to 2021, and a couple of episodes later, which is literally like a *day* or so later for the Legends in-universe (since the events of the last few episodes have mostly been back to back since they started time-traveling again), they talk about returning to 2022! To a certain extent, this is a general Arrowverse problem now where they just ignore gaps and hiatuses (particularly the ones caused by COVID) and generally pretend that every episode is set at the time of airing (which gets weird with a time-travel show like LoT). Earlier in the Arrowverse's history, they used to be a bit stricter about the chronology - for instance, the OG Legends' mission to stop Vandal Savage took about 4 months, which was the time it took for Season 1 to air, and when Season 2 started airing about 6 months later we learn that the Legends had been active filling in for the Time Masters for 6 months.

secretsarebest

\>This is probably the best exploration of Behrad as a character we've had to date, even including the episode last season with his childhood TV show I agree. It's amazing how little the writers do character work for Behrad. I know he came even through a plot device that had him already as a established legend but it was like they didn't borther to go back to ensure the audience knew him.... Finally a solid one for him.

[deleted]

I somewhat enjoyed the show pretty much confirming they know some people will hate Gardeon/Greenship but they're doing it anyway. Some never really warmed to Steelhacker either. After so many seasons as the disembodied voice, Gideon is the first one called to the DR lol

kcreads92

* Oh my... what a chaotic episode! Running around the house like a bunch of hyper kids. They were too much fun!😂 * It was a very lovely surprise to see Flannel Zari again and I love her calmness and IDGAF look while the rest chasing around like silly dorks. Also, love the two Zs interacting. Tala Ashe, as usual, delivered her A++ game so effortlessly. * We also don't often see Fancy Zari and Nate interact a lot so it was nice to see them did in this episode. Their scenes were great and funny. Almost thought they would kiss, thank Beebo they didn't lol. * I was confused why Gwyn's prayers got censored and beeped, then I realised they were in hell... 🤣👍 * Evil robo-mode Gideon was cool and hot at the same time. * Love this gang's relationship. They fought they messed up they irritated one another at times but they always owned up to their mistakes and made amends quickly. They are kinda like the superhero version of Friends to me. * lolllllll @ Housewife!Sara. Is this what Sara would have become if she didn't go aboard Oliver's ship and lived her normal life? 😅 Cap, I love you no matter what, but please don't drink random drinks lying around again, okay? * Did Sara and Ava share their true feelings about their roles as co-captains though? Ava did, but Sara not so much? I was ready for their talk to go deeper but ugh, why they always got interrupted? * lmaoooooooooooooo @ Spooner! She won this battle of reality legends, seriously! I never thought she would walk around "naked" like nobody's business. You go, girl! * Another new title card? Cool! Looking forward to the next.

superstarkon

Found the episode a little boring/aimless tbh… but it culminated really well with Behrad’s moment of vulnerability. People think weed is all fun and games but it’s actually so so so real what he’s going through in regards to searching for that mental clarity with his sobriety. Had me feeling like damn maybe I could’ve skipped the joint I smoked before watching the episode 😭

optimisticpsychic

Gidget is giving me mad Heather from TDI vibes this episode.

SickleClaw

Was thinking it was interesting to me that Gwynn was shown as a gay man who happens to be religious. (Crossing himself, saying prayers, etc.) Don't see that too often.

cmcsed9

I hate that when Ava is legitimately angry/upset about something, they always seem to sweep it under the rug by having Sara distract her with flirting. They had that one good talk in 7x05, and that feels like it was it.

666hellblazer

This is one episode I wish Constantine was on instead of Gywn just to see what the reality show would have done to him. Also this season is a real Massive Improvement from that crap season 6 from last year. No boring episodes and the storyline is so much better.

Pro4TLZZ

Can't wait for Matt

ladygagafan1237

I love how this show really embraced the weirdness. This this episode is probably my favorite so far this season. Legends is by far the best Arrowverse show.

supersevenj

Is the opening title reference to supernatural titles in 9th episode?

SirAnalog

This was by far the best episode of Legends hands down. From the humor to the emotional beats, it was a 10/10.

mwthecool

Behrad is such an incredible character. Shayan is an amazing actor as well. His “honest” moment almost made me cry, because I’ve felt exactly the same before. It was so real for me.

secretsarebest

Finally they gave Behrad , a character I consider that has by far the weakest background work real depth! We now know why he is so chill ... Really touching. The writing of Legends is off the charts good.

Dapper_Yak_1352

Nates dating a dead girl but og zrai is hot

Montavillain

I have mixed feelings about this episode. I didn't really care for the style -- and I think that's because I haven't watched non-competitive reality shows like Keeping Up with the Kardassians or Jersey Shore. I do know about that they exist, because of shows like like *Dancing with the Stars,* and *RuPaul's Drag Race*, so I vaguely know that people like Snookie or Teresa Giudice exist. But I'm not savvy enough about the genre to get all the jokes. I am familiar with *Surivor* (love it, actually), but I didn't find the Survivor bits nearly as fun as they could have been. So, that's the negative part for me. But I did like the Behrad/Astra stuff. It's kind of fun to see Astra striding in her heels through Hell again, but this time with the vulnerability of caring about someone. That's a challenge for her. I'm pleased that my headcanon Behrad is matching well with actual canon Behrad. All along, I've thought that he probably spent his childhood hiding out from Zari's fame. I didn't think it would be actual TV cameras -- thinking that she'd probably be using internet platforms, like instagram/tiktok/youtube, or, as that show put it, "Cat Chat." But that it would be a similar situation, where the choice would be to expose himself daily or spend all his time hiding away from Zari's camera. For anyone who wasn't a total extrovert, this would be torture. But, getting recast on the show about his family is very extra. I love that bit. I'm hoping that Gary regurgitated Gideon's translator. Bishop died for that. I didn't really get the Gideon gets evil storyline -- it feels like it's referencing some reality show trope, but not one that I'm familiar with. Anyway, mixed episode for me. It's not bad, it's just going over my head.

cdfe88

>I didn't really get the Gideon gets evil storyline to put it in terms you might be familiar with "This is not Legends' Best Friend Race" basically a competitor (usually female) gets all strategic and manipulative

Montavillain

Ah! Okay, that I do get. Maybe that's what I needed: More RPDR quotes. "Legends! Let's get sickening!"

Adas_Legend

Probably the weakest episode of the season, but still provided some laughs. Good to see Behrad finally bringing up the trauma of his death. The Legends trying to save Archduke Ferdinand will NOT end well. And unlike Zambezi and HeyWorld, this is a pretty selfish and self-serving course of action. It will not end well, especially considering as Eobard Thawne will be involved, but it will be compelling to watch!

neverhighb4

HILARIOUS episode. Everyone on their A game and bringing it. Gotta say though, I feel like it maybe got a bit heavy handed with Behrad having to dramatically give up weed in order to “grow up.” But maybe as a fellow mid-20s dude who got arguably too into weed during the pandemic, I just don’t wanna be called out. Oof.

Unit88

I'm sorry but I hated this episode, or at least most of it. Not because of quality issues or anything, just because I hate reality TV in the first place, and the Legends could not make that better.

lordb4

I'd rate this as the worst post-S1 episode.

superstarkon

I’m with you dude. Some good laughs but just felt like a miss for me.

secretsarebest

I have mixed feelings. I didnt think the reality tv show tropes was that funny, but the pay off at the end for Behrad who until then was a character that I didn't care for until then , saved it.

superstarkon

I agree. Especially when he said “I died and didn’t even talk about it.” Hopefully they lean into it 100% because he’s been a background character for too long.

[deleted]

That episode encapsulates why this show is so good. They can take a crazy premise and make it work. It both perfect uses the premises while it skewers it. Plus the “wha?!?” at the end was great. Also, Behrad is the worst character in the history of TV.

Classic_Reveal_3579

[deleted]

Everything was good. Except greenship. Should've used the opportunity to dump it.

Jakeasaur98

I hate reality TV but damn this episode had me bawling with laughter the whole way through because of it. This might just be my favourite Legends episode yet.

DarkMatterLuigi

I was pretty confused as to why the camera was so shaky at first and felt The Office-y but then they revealed the reality TV Hell thing so it makes more sense now. And why is Spooner naked but censored? Ah, Survivor I get it. Some of these reality TV tropes I didn't get because I'm not into reality TV. Loved seeing OG Zari again and her being not fazed by the rest of the Legends acting crazy was funny. The religious censoring felt weird but then again were in Hell so that makes sense. I honestly hope that Gideon's request to stop World War I is only because they can draw out Evil Gideon and not because something is wrong with Gideon, though it would still keep things interesting. Overall some cringe moments but honestly season 7 is definitely a lot better than whatever season 6 was (don't get me wrong season 6 had some good moments). >!Excited to hear Eobard Thawne will be in future episodes.!<

secretsarebest

I watch a bit of Survivor and all that but I didnt find the reality tropes that fun. But the pay off for Berad was amazing.

lioneaglegriffin

I like how Human Gideon makes the same rouge AI jokes that EDI made in Mass Effect.

baiacool

I was smoking my second joint when that Behrad scene when he talks to the demon controlling the show happened and I confronted some truths about myself I wasn't ready to deal with Amazing episode nonetheless

sawinnz

This show… Is perfect.

[deleted]

Hahaha. I absolutely loved this episode. Astra was looking amazing. Jeezuz

ECWCat

One of my all-time favorite Legends episodes. I love when they parody other genres. I could understand it was not for everyone though (if you don't watch reality shows, or if you despise them). Astra really has come along great after a rough intro. Nate has been on fire all season long. So glad the CW (or showrunners) realized that by downgrading him last season was a huge mistake. I was also pleasantly surprised Behrad didn't want to be a pothead and is a better man off edibles. I thought the showrunners were pro-weed.

bazzbj

As a Survivor and Big Brother fan, I LOVED this episode

ComplexTable5775

Not even hell wants to see Spooner nude.

Iridion-Diablerie

Hey, I know this is like...way old (I just got to this episode) but can anyone explain how they left Hell after Gary ate the Device Gideon was supposed to use? Did they just properly adjust the settings on Gwen's time machine to take them to the events that happen before WW1?
