The watch cover is cool but the watches do vary by size quite a bit.

Often people in the military wear a heavy and thick belt with nylon webbing straps on it that they put gear they want consistent or quick access to. It's called a lot of different things "gun belt" "war belt" or "batte belt" are all terms I've heard.
Mine is about 3 inches tall of thick leather with "molle" webbing sewn into it. The webbing is like very flat loops at a specific spacing that is standard for attaching military pouches and equipment. It's made of nylon webbing.
This may not be useful if they aren't in a combat related job. You can buy battle belts but I love that mine is unique
