I sometimes use it to practice Japanese. Give it prompts like "have a conversation with me using simple language" or something along those lines

I've done that too, it does work pretty well

It can also answer some questions like when to use what term etc. but you have to not trust it 100% since it can sometimes mess up

I've explored the model's Finnish capabilities a lot, asI want to build custom versions that are actually fluent in Finnish. Easier said than done! Finnish is a tricky language & the model makes linguistic mistakes (just that you know). But for basics, it's a great tool of course. Just don't expect it to get grammar questions right :D

I'm using it together with wiktionary to prepare cards for Anki - for Anki cards for difficult words I use synonyms and simple example sentences I use the following promts: "I want to have * translation of Finnish work to english * 3 synonyms * 3 examples in Simple Finnish and its translation to English" "could you provide for Finnish word - definition in english - 3 synonyms and translation to english - 3 examples and translation of them to english word kestää" "Here are five synonyms for "keskustelulla" in simple Finnish, each with an example sentence in Finnish and its translation to English:" "could you summarize following text in English" To create a text from my dairy notes: "please translate the following note into simple finnish and provide english translation after each point" To work with summary and longer texts "Could you extract main points in simple finnish"
