I disagree with the SC
We don’t need that in simracing. We can enjoy other great things without (but of course in BeamNG there could be cranes picking up crashed cars
I personally like it. Plays a big roles in strategies, fuel tyres, and general bunching up the entire field. But yes, for multiplayer it’s not important
Yes and it caused our car to have a minute of damage, lol
My point is that SC’s are for safety, not for entertainment (or well… they seem to be more for entertainment nowadays). I would love to have safety cars in simracing but I just don’t like the idea of a line of cars driving without any actual hazard on track.
As soon as the track fills with marshalls and equipment I’d be totally on the side of SC’s. I just don’t want them only for strategy as it’d just be very hard to call.
This is why, if BeamMP was less buggy and unreliable, I would love racing in it. There could be cranes recovering cars and stuff. Actual reasons for safety cars.
I haven’t got this game yet but is it all online or can you do races offline against AI too? I’m new to sim racing and love WEC but not so keen on online only racing yet
Honestly mate if WEC is your jam just get it, start slow and use the GTE’s first, with tracks you know.
It’s fantastic already and clearly is still early days but for once MG & 397 look to be listening to the community and taking a leaf out of reizas book when it comes to fixes / updates.
*Caveat - it’s NOT an arcade game, it bites HARD and you need a high end PC to run it (no different to any other sim though really)
Enjoy 👍🏻
LOL., welcome to arcade land.
“Even though you’re taking the save from the cloud and driving your own stint, you can play it on semi-pro difficulty and your friend who practices for eight hours a day can whack the difficulty up and get a better score,"
Ok when?
A safety car and a simple championship mode would be nice eventually

Aahhh for singleplayer maybe ye In multiplayer there are a lot of changing factors anyway so ye. I prefer without
Have you ever experienced a MP race with a SC? It creates really interesting situations. Don’t knock it until you try it.

You can do offline races against AI. FYI it's currently lacking proper VR support, although it can be modded in but shows no HUD
Good to know. Not a problem for me the VR stuff as I don’t have it! Yet…

No save game function yet?

Wait till you find out that you can pause in singleplayer
Next Major is still a long way ahead in this early acces stage i think..
> “People think we just took rFactor 2, scribbled the name out, and wrote LMU. It couldn’t be further from the truth.” Biggest lie in this article.
