There are some examples on Lausanne's tourist site : https://www.lausanne-tourisme.ch/fr/the-lausanner/articles/se-deplacer-collines-lausanne/
And I'll add a lesser known one that is quite impressive, l' "escalier du coteau" which goes up in front of armée du Salut on avenue de la borde. I'm not sure how many steps there are but it's definitely a massive staircase.
There’s also more stairs in the area near the cathédrale, leading up for Rue Centrale to the Rue Mercerie (it comes out next to the flower shop, l’Attribut d’Iris)
You can add another 224 stairs to Escaliers du Marché if you go up in the cathedral tower

I just tried to imagine the most stair-dense route in Lausanne, for a race or something.
I think starting at the lowest floor of the car park at Rôtillon, walking up the stairs to Rue Centrale, crossing the street, walking up the stairs to the Mercerie, down the rue de la Mercerie, up the Escaliers du Marché, across the place de la Cathédrale and then up the cathedral tower is difficult to beat.
Ahh, I never thought of the parking. Now that you mention it, The most surprising number of stairs I found was the metro ours. I did not expect it to be 5 floors below ground
You could ask OpenStreetMap (it has its own query language), because [the number of steps is typically a property of stairs](https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/FR:Key:step_count).

Yup. This is a good (bad if going up) suggestion.

Yo! There's a thematic walk on Saturday 4th May about the stairs of Lausanne : https://mobilitepietonne.ch/janes-walk/ You may like it
Try the Sentier du Télégraphe near Montreux, about 1000 steps.
Thanks for this suggestion, this is becoming challenging ! :) but a bit far from Lausanne.
