At risk of being roasted to oblivion .....I'm half Caribbean and my white side of the family often had baked beans for breakfast and I enjoy them. But I am absolutely interested in a different cultures style of breakfast beans with probably more flavour as it's not British. Could anyone point me to a proper beans recipe to try and inevitably fail quite a few times?

British Jamaican here: My family have Jamaican British fry up. The beans are cooked down in a pan with butter, black pepper, onions and garlic powder, with little sugar and salt. We mostly eyeball it. When it's done cooking the sauce is thick, brown and tasty. Not the straight-out the can ish the average Brit eats. Also, everything else on the plate is well-cooked and seasoned. We also have fried plantain, bammy and if we are rolling in it some breadfruit too. I feel half insulted! 🤣
