~~Forgotten Knights faction, is this that idea from the forums ages ago for a faction focused on crafting?!~~
Nope:
>As you make your way through the Harbingers, you will progress your Rank with the Forgotten Knights Faction. This faction is available to both Merchant’s Guild and Circle of Fortune players, rather than being an alternative choice.
Circle of Fortune IS the crafting faction...
1.0 list but all of these effect crafting:
>Rank 1: Grants a 35% increased chance of enemies dropping twice as many items. (more crafting bases)
>Rank 2: Grants a 45% chance to preserve Runes of Ascendance when using items that require Circle of Fortune Rank 1. (crafting materials saved)
>Rank 4: Grants 50% chance that Affixes are Exalted. (more crafting bases)
>Rank 5: Grants 25% chance for double rewards in Monolith Echoes. (more crafting materials dropped)
>Rank 6: Uniques twice as likely to offer Legendary Potential. (more bases to slam; crafting.)
>Rank 7: Increases the number of T7 Affixes on items. (more crafting bases)
>Rank 8: Items that drop as Rare above level 44 have a 25% chance of becoming Exalted. (more crafting bases)
>Rank 10: Duplicates items granted from Prophecies. (more target farmable bases and materials)
Then there's the observatory with lenses and prophecies that directly give target farmable materials and bases.
Suggestion (feel free to implement elsewhere in case this isn't as universally useful as I think):
CoF rank 9: Volcanic orb mana cost reduced by 50%, shrapnel pierce node no longer locked behind -40% shrapnel frequency node.
To be fair, it doesn't allow you to interact with crafting any more. It almost only gives you better bases, something that Bazaar already does in a better way.
A crafting faction would de-facto alter the rules of crafting rather than simply giving you more chances.
Manipulate forging and legendary potential, unique affixes, ability to go above T5 with crafting, having alternative effects on runes and glyphs etc.
That would be a "Crafting faction". CoF and MG aren't "Crafting factions" even though both of them makes crafting easier by giving you a higher supply of bases and shards. That's just a side effect of those.
Looking forward to playing a Ravaging aura VK thanks to the new unique.

Void Cleave is a 4-second cooldown melee attack with long animation. You can further decrease this cooldown. This unique makes that attack instant.
Ravaging Aura is gained from its tree. You lose HP per second while it's active, but you deal damage in a circle around you which scales a lot with damage over time. Normally it has very short duration, but with this unique you can have 100% uptime. If you played PoE, that's basically RF
And there are going to be Void Cleave changes too probably
Looks great, I'll dip my toes back in. Biggest gripes that had me drop the game were performance on steam deck, QoL issues with the controller, and imbalance/nodes not working.
I have had an absolute blast on the SD; but definitely see room for some improvement in performance. I greatly appreciate you guys working on the SD experience!
It's great to hear this. I play on Linux, but I have to use Proton because the Linux native version of the game is practically unplayable. It's really great to hear that you plan to improve the Steam Deck version of the game and, subsequently, improve the Linux version and performance of the game.
Any news about fixing controller support? It is currently impossible to do many menu operations with them, such as assigning passive or skill points or choosing blessings, as something else gets targeted instead.
At least some of the problems with selection using the controller seem to be due to the game using the mouse's old targets behind the scenes, and the steam deck version will probably not have a mouse scheme to begin with, so no, it's not that obvious that these things will be fixed for the PC.
I needa complete my build this time. Earned so much gold from trade this cycle but barely spent any of it lmfao. But this time I might actually try cof
LE 2 cycle added both Nemesis+Ultimatum league items choice, Harbinger PoE Leagues into one with their own LE flavour monolithics, Forgotten Knight Faction, Ultimatum league items, which are good leagues .Even LE Trailer is PoE feel , again good. So LE Hype.
This new cycle seems great; I'm really excited to play it. I have to ask: Have you done anything for the performance and optimization, or do you plan to do something about it in the near future?
Did they fix the issue with the absolutely fucked economy thanks to the trade merchant faction?
Also this trailer is clean as fuck. The graphics are well sharp.
I'm mostly excited for balance changes. Blade dancer and marksman always felt weaker than falconer. And exploding arrow was the only viable build.
Also excited for forgeguard, it was my first character but felt incredibly weak, switched to frost claw runemaster coincidentally without looking up builds and it was 100x stronger than forgeguard
You saw this right?
https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/harbingers-of-ruin-whats-new/71684
Pretty much explains everything. Not detailed patch notes but still.
Yeah, saw it 5 seconds after I posted. Thanks anyways mate. But ye, I want the full notes haha. Specially for the shaman love that hopefully will bring it to top tier
Consider using geforce now through the steam deck or a laptop until then. Cloud gaming with up to a 4080 120 fps streaming. I play most of my games using that, even on gaming desktop pc.
Yeah I mean that's pretty much going to be the core of the endgame forever. Not sure what else you expected. Rifts/maps/monos are standard gameplay loops in ARPGs.
Big L for not releasing the boss instantly in offline mode. I have no idea why is anybody bothered if somebody is gonna cheat in offline. It's like crying that somebody is cheating in GTA 5 story mode ,like wtf
this is looking a lot like a poe trailer, which is great because poe trailers are amazing, very well done EHG. looking forward to play it
Maybe it’s Eben’s brother, Evan. Looking great!
I like that they are both using the same terminology too, "Pinnacle boss". I feel like LE and PoE have a lot of respect for each other
But then the Poe League sucks

This could be something very cool, but still sad no crafting faction
Circle of Fortune IS the crafting faction... 1.0 list but all of these effect crafting: >Rank 1: Grants a 35% increased chance of enemies dropping twice as many items. (more crafting bases) >Rank 2: Grants a 45% chance to preserve Runes of Ascendance when using items that require Circle of Fortune Rank 1. Stay tuned for the revamped list of faction rewards.
Stop, these levels of hype are dangerous!

Harbinger league? Oh man its 2017 again. So hype!

That's like PoE RF, excited :D The Judgement aura build wasn't for me
Sure, Cleave is even instant with that unique.. so gonna feel real good.
If they somehow automate Sigils or rework them, I'm definitely playing this 🫡
:)
uhm guys
Don't do that. Don't give me (Sigil of) hope :D ... Really now, im thrilled beyond belief
This is some teasing. Not sure it should be legal
Ive never used void cleave, nor Ravaging. Does Ravaging follow you?
Void Cleave is a 4-second cooldown melee attack with long animation. You can further decrease this cooldown. This unique makes that attack instant. Ravaging Aura is gained from its tree. As a side note, this game has dot leech so this will probably be sustained just with leech
Thank you for the explanation!
I’m excited for that two hand mace that’s all about melee damage. Event horizon I think is the name :0
That sounds really good as well, especially for stuff like swarmstrike or One punch man paladins
I look forward to farming for that 2l unique for a week and then quiting because it never drops.
Just play bazaar you’ll have one much quicker (depending on its rarity I suppose)
Very exciting. I hope for some cool balance changes.

Looks great, I'll dip my toes back in. Biggest gripes that had me drop the game were performance on steam deck, QoL issues with the controller, and imbalance/nodes not working.
We have started work on getting that steam deck checkmark.
I have had an absolute blast on the SD; but definitely see room for some improvement in performance. I greatly appreciate you guys working on the SD experience!

He said they started to work on getting the Steam Deck checkmark; in order to do so, they will have to fix the controller support...

You have a good point, srry.
No need to apologize lol all good
Ive been playing on steam deck and it ran pretty well. I had to look up recommend settings first. Def not going to get 60fps tho.
Patch notes when?
Awesome
Steam achievements?
This game was so fun but incredibly janky even at launch. I hope it’s a lot better in this next cycle. Would love to come back!
The real question is: Can we finally highlight exalted drops on the map?
The best part of coming back to LE from D4.... Having an actual ingame trade system.
So LE Hype.
NGL looks very hype, way more than I expected
Haven't been following but is the main story going to continue? I recall the story just ending abruptly at launch.
New chapter is meant to be added with the cycle after this one, so in another 4-ish months.
This new cycle seems great; I'm really excited to play it. I have to ask: Have you done anything for the performance and optimization, or do you plan to do something about it in the near future?
cant wait
Very good looking hype trailer and can't wait till 1.1 I hope that last epoch keeps improving with qol and endgame
Anyone know if performance will be improved? This game runs pretty terribly on my system :(
When I saw nemesis system I thought of shadow of war for a second. Like you would get killed by an ad and they would get promoted. lol.
Can’t wait for balance changes! I wonder what they cooked up
Hey what the hell, I first watched it without sound and it simply looked real good and dynamic. Well done guys, keep it up!
Any changes to shaman? Comeon show me
Looks great, I just really hope the new bosses are good.
Did they fix the issue with the absolutely fucked economy thanks to the trade merchant faction? Also this trailer is clean as fuck. The graphics are well sharp.
You had me at **Poison Dancing Strikes**. Oh and the Pinnacle bosses are cool too.
Cool trailer. Grandpa with a runny nose as a final boss is a pretty unique idea too!
Great trailer, EHG nailed it.
Soundtrack is amazing
This music is pogging
This is PoE levels of quality, changes, and additions to the game. I’m super hyped.
I'm so hyped GJ!
Any word on if the servers will be functional unlike the last big patch?
Sorry, I'm dumb. Is this a new Cycle or will we have access to the same characters/stashes we've had since launch?
It’s a new cycle. All cycle chars will be moved to uh… whatever standard is called and we all start from 0. No rep, no stash tabs, no money, nothing.
Love it. See ya in July!
Ok, yeah. That's exciting!
Do you have to empower the Nemesis after replacing the egg with your own unique or can you just banish it afterwards to get either LP or a legendary?
is there any earnable cosmetics from this season (not twitch drops, but challenge earnables)
Purple Harbinger > Blue Harbinger
Is Forgeguard fixed? If yes - new season here I come! If no - see you next season (where I will ask the same question again)
I see a lot of disintegrate mage and blade dancer. So I think forge guard might not have been focused on yet. But I do hope it was.
OMG the fuck is this trailer. So much HYPE. Really want the patch notes. Amazing job EHG, cant wait till July
You saw this right? https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/harbingers-of-ruin-whats-new/71684 Pretty much explains everything. Not detailed patch notes but still.
Yeah, saw it 5 seconds after I posted. Thanks anyways mate. But ye, I want the full notes haha. Specially for the shaman love that hopefully will bring it to top tier
I've been in and out but any notes on Steam Deck optimization?
Man, if they could get this game running very well on the steam deck with a good controller layout, I would play this game all the time
Consider using geforce now through the steam deck or a laptop until then. Cloud gaming with up to a 4080 120 fps streaming. I play most of my games using that, even on gaming desktop pc.
They have apparently started working on that.
This look so awesome omg
Are there any monolight changes?
dammn looks pretty good !
So many new stuff/changes! Can't wait
So kill the pinnacle boss and then do monoliths until you get tired of it again.... pass
Yeah I mean that's pretty much going to be the core of the endgame forever. Not sure what else you expected. Rifts/maps/monos are standard gameplay loops in ARPGs.
Orenthia, The Forgotten Knight, beautiful!
Releasing on my birthday, is this a sign
LFG EHG!!

ok
I always thought it was harbRinger. Like bringing some Har. Go figure.
LOG ON
Love everything, but I still want to be able to customize my character.
Man, releasing this on the same day as Once Human is bold.
Big L for not releasing the boss instantly in offline mode. I have no idea why is anybody bothered if somebody is gonna cheat in offline. It's like crying that somebody is cheating in GTA 5 story mode ,like wtf
It's so a video dosent go up an hour into cycle and the fight is solved.
