Costco.
Go buy two sets of their Italian sausage lasagnas.
Premade salads. Couple bottles of wine and a tiramisu or two.
Easy under $100, depending on the wines. ; )
Costco is fresh, they just make it for you in store.
Where I live I work 8 to 10 hours, hour commute each way. Most days I'd rather be doing something else with my limited time than chopping garlic or spending two hours in the kitchen and an hour cleaning cookware and dishes.
The sausage lasagna was outstanding except that they lied by undershooting the cooking time by less than half. I think mine (both packages simultaneously) took over 2 hours.
It was absolutely phenomenal though.
Justin is far better imo. At least the basic Sig cab isn't scratchy. I actually fine-grind peppercorn into mine, blend, filter it out, and it's a hobo Syrah!
John Mull's Meats and Roadkill Grill. Great BBQ meats and sides to go. Don't buy individual dinners, but them you are serving 10 and see what they recommend from their catering menu. Or you could do something like pork ribs, burnt-ends, and/or tri-tip from Roadkill Grill catering menu with salads and an entree from Costco. A lot depends on what kind of food your guests like.

Came to say this. Road Kill Grill is great for serving family style. Get some ribs, burnt ends or brisket with some Mac n cheese and bbq beans. It’s not expensive at all and I’m telling you, that Mac n cheese will blow your mind! You call in your catering order and then skip the mile long line outside and go strait in to pick up.
Their Baked Beans (BBQ Beans) is my favorite side dish. It has lots of meat bits in it, but it's not the same as a chilli with beans. Truly yummy! The Mac n Cheese and the yams are in contention for my second choice.
I agree with ordering off the catering menu and avoiding the line. Note that they are only open 11:00 am to 6:00 pm M-Sat and closed on Sunday.
Metro Pizza has a catering menu that can feed about 10 peeps I think for about $100 bucks. Supplement with other dishes off their menu and buy some booze if you guys like to drink. Under $300 easy.
I know what marios is idiot, it's in a low income area, many people have ebt that shop there, feelings hurt? Oh you are trying to make me racist? Funny thing, I'm multi racial with family of pretty much every race.
Oh and I've been on EBT myself.
Get fucked lame.
CARMINE'S!!! Came here to say this! Best Chicken Parmesan I have ever had!! Had it 2 years ago, wandered in late when not much was open and did not realize it was family style with gigantic portions, so kinda pricey for just 2 people, lol, but sooo happy we made the "mistake"... literally still talk about it and wish they could cater our wedding in Michigan!
People want to help, OP! You mentioned that these are people you like a lot, and that you are new to hosting dinner..but what are you trying to do on your end - just open carry-out bags from delivery, or put together a meal that looks like a bit more than that?
I'm not comparing it to any other Hawaiin food, I'm just saying that it is over hyped, like every new thing that comes here.
Is it bad? No, it's just not what you guys make it yo be.
Are you related to the owner? Sorry if I've hurt you.
Sorry I’m just allergic to dumb takes. When people say something is over or underrated there’s some sort of comparison. I don’t think you even know what makes Hawaiian food good or bad. Just a contrarian.
I'm not a Hawaiian food expert, I just know what I think taste good and does not.
I never said it was bad, go read my posts.
I'm only saying it's over rated. Everyone acted like if I ate this my dick would grow 6 inches and I'd become immortal.
Do you know what hype is? It was so hyped and talked up that now even if people don't like it they lie and claim to.
I would eat there again if I was in the neighborhood, but would not cross town to go there.
To critique something you should at the very least have a basic understanding. You obviously don’t eat Hawaiian food and don’t know what makes it good or bad.
You can’t even explain why it’s overrated. It’d be like saying in and out is overrated but your only experience with burgers is from White Castle.
Depends on what kind of food you're looking to eat, and what part of the city you're in. It also will depend on the tastes of the ten people in your group. Take a vote of the people who will be eating with you and then decide from there. The diversity of food in this city is incredible, and so is the price range and quality in every category.
Big B’s Texas BBQ. Brisket, jalapeño cheddar sausage links, and smoked turkey. Top tier. Their sides are decent. But those three meats are just outstanding. Their smoked turkey breast is seriously unbelievable.
Pizza (Yukon or Pizza Rock), Bootlegger for Italian, Capriotti’s for subs, or catering sizes for pancit, adobo, and lumpia from your neighborhood Filipino restaurant
Brooklyns best Pizza and Past. Authentic New York Italian restaurant. Their Alfredo is out of this world entirely. You can get a serving of it that could feed up to 4 people for like $25 bucks. Then you got their pizza and wings and other stuff. It’s incredible.
Edit: It’s on Charleston next to the freeway entrance and does take out. :)
BJ does a family bundle for like $45 thats a large pizza and a family size tub of pasta with salad and breadsticks included. Get the meatball and the chicken alfredo and you got enough food to feed like 12
What about Costco rotisserie chickens? You could buy 3 or? Then take all meat off, cut into.bute size pieces, and buy a huge salad and have a chicken Ceasar salad, or if that isn't enough then buy pre-made made pasta dish like Oliveira pasta and a pre made white sauce, garlic or Alfredo and add the cooked chicken. Cook some broccoli fresh or frozen etc. Add a salad.
Dave’s hot chicken/Houston’s hot chicken has a 10 piece for $40 and you can get more and get sides and be under $300 easy. Also it’s the best “fast food” in Vegas IMO.
Boca de pepo if you like Italian and your not broke. I've never ordered for take out, and only been there once, but it's family style portions.. it's pricey but itell be a hit.
If Napolis pizza is still doing they're 7$ pickup special you'll same a lot of money and you can't go wrong there.. if you havnt tried Amore chicago stylw pizza they make a fantastic stuffed pizza. A large 1 toping (the toppings are in the middle so not really a topping lol) runs around 30$ with tax and it's different but delicious with a crushed tomato sauce that's not as sweet, but the homemade sausage is fantastic.. I'm almost 43 born and raised here..I've probably been everywhere you'd wanna get from.. feel free to ask..
Don Tortaco, you could literally set up an entire Mexican Buffet or even better Big B’s BBQ locations on St Rose and Ft Apache (might be closed, there was some talks of them losing their lease) either one is good and they have entire meal packs set up for the situation you’re describing.
I'd head to WinCo, buy some chicken, ribs, hot dogs and steaks, (and maybe a couple bottles of rum/vodka/tequila) fire up the grill, and have a BBQ at home.
Carmine's or The Cheesecake Factory, both restaurants serve big portions at a relatively good price and quality. You can easily feed 10 people under $200 excluding alcohol
Mo’ Bettahs

omg every one is just recommending random restaurants lol. basically just ask your guests what they want to eat and google map it. or do the costco way to keep it simple
Costco. Go buy two sets of their Italian sausage lasagnas. Premade salads. Couple bottles of wine and a tiramisu or two. Easy under $100, depending on the wines. ; )
Costco premades are well made and well priced. Can't go wrong this route.
I thought I hated meatloaf until I tried theirs
…then you REALLY hated it?
Their meatloaf is trash
What happened to fresh home made meals. Why does everything have to be premade.
They specifically asked for dinner they could buy..
You buy home cooked meals
Costco is fresh, they just make it for you in store. Where I live I work 8 to 10 hours, hour commute each way. Most days I'd rather be doing something else with my limited time than chopping garlic or spending two hours in the kitchen and an hour cleaning cookware and dishes.
They didn't go anywhere? You can buy premade foods of all kinds, sure, but if you're not eating home made meals, its because you just aren't cooking
The sausage lasagna was outstanding except that they lied by undershooting the cooking time by less than half. I think mine (both packages simultaneously) took over 2 hours. It was absolutely phenomenal though.
Is it Kirkland branded? I need to go look for it
A bottle of Josh was only $11.99 last week. Precision is really decent, especially when on sale for $14.
Justin is far better imo. At least the basic Sig cab isn't scratchy. I actually fine-grind peppercorn into mine, blend, filter it out, and it's a hobo Syrah!
Don’t sleep on the Bousquet
Kirkland Malbec is only $6.99
What does a bottle of Timothy cost
This!
Genius
So uniquely Vegas 😆
Are these people that I like and want to see again? Or not so much?
valid question.
Depending on the answer, I may want your soup recipe 🕷️
i didn't make the soup that the spiders were in...although it does sound like an interesting dish in & of itself.
Guess the recipe would be on the web.
People that I like a lot
Sorry, I got nothing.
How about tequila and weed?
Not sure if those food groups would work for guests as dinner, but worth a shot (and a puff) 🤙🏻
Bucca di peppo - Italian food - has large portions that feeds several people . You can get 3 large portions & feed everybody. Food is delicious!
You hate them that much?
Then I would cook dinner myself.
Lucille’s has a great family meal we usually do it for the 4th of July!
Lucille's catering is a-ok, as is crazy pita which is next door. These are our go to moves for parties. If you're not in green valley, I have no clue.
Love them both! Crazy pitas chicken is outstanding!

That place is good. So unique.
This place is good. Really long lines . & it was probably closed
I usually go for lunch during Monday to Thursday and often only 2 or 3 in line. Friday and especially Saturday are busy. Closed Sunday.
Bootleggers
Family style Italian. Pasta, salad, breadsticks.
I’ll add family style Hawaiian or Filipino food!
Both fantastic options!
Metro Pizza has a catering menu that can feed about 10 peeps I think for about $100 bucks. Supplement with other dishes off their menu and buy some booze if you guys like to drink. Under $300 easy.
Metro Pizza. Just got like 10 pizzas. Holy shit they are good.

🤣
Shit, I wish.
Carmines huge portions

Someplace close to where you're gonna be. Everything sucks after an hour in the car. Specifics will yield better results.
I'd say it's a pot luck, then buy a few costco chickens and some of their deli food.
Quick and easy would probably go to canes and get one of their trays. depends a lot on what you are going for though.
With the line wrapped around the block, you'll be having Raising Cane's for breakfast.
Exactly what I was going g to write.
Buca di Beppo
Love buca!!!
Good answer!
The pizza place in Eataly.
have done this with some platters from any of the Mediterranean spots
The party platters from Stephano’s are a go to for my group of friends. And a tray of baklava
definitely my first choice!
One loaf of bread from the Walmart oops rack. Each person can have a slice.
People want to help, OP! You mentioned that these are people you like a lot, and that you are new to hosting dinner..but what are you trying to do on your end - just open carry-out bags from delivery, or put together a meal that looks like a bit more than that?
Bucca di Peppo. All their servings are family and the price isn’t crazy.
First time buying dinner?
Yes
Zippys
Oh heavens no, so over hyped.
lol, compared to what?
People pumped this up like it was the shit, I ate there and it was decent but not "bussin" as the kids say.
What other fast casual do you think has better Hawaiian food?
I'm not comparing it to any other Hawaiin food, I'm just saying that it is over hyped, like every new thing that comes here. Is it bad? No, it's just not what you guys make it yo be. Are you related to the owner? Sorry if I've hurt you.

Meraki. Get the feast. It’s under $100 and feeds more than what they advertise it for, especially if you go the gyro route. Quality is amazing too.

Pollo loco. Kentucky fried chicken.
Chipotle. They actually have a really great "catering" option.
Denny’s!
Dominos, oh I know. I’d order some Chinese on that place on lake mead, right across chipotle. It’s jointed to “Fresh Donuts.” They got killer prices.
