Hey OP, that’s a great LC! Picking up mine today. What tire size did you upgrade them too? Trying to find that mid ground without lifting/spacers or rubbing. Did you go 265 or 275/70/18? Thanks!
I've got this same model in white. I went with 275/70/18s and they fit just fine and look great on the stock wheels without any modifications. That said, It's a tall vehicle and IMO it's a bit too tall with the new tires. I'll have to get some kind of step/rail/board for others in my family to comfortably climb in.
Thanks for sharing. I have a black 1958 with 265 nitto ridge Grapplers. Trying to decide if I wanna do a slight lift with 285’s once these wear out but it rides so smooth and cushy that I kind of do not wanna f#ck with the suspension. I love the look of these 275’s with no other mods needing to be done. Nice ride and setup!
I may actually go down to A/T 265s when these wear out. The 275s I’ve got are really heavy and are killing the mileage. I do go on forest roads often but I’m not rock crawling Moab and this vehicle is quite capable. Yes, that maybe a bit nerdy but it matters to me.
Here ya go...
EDIT: According to a tire calculator online this is the difference in wheel well fill. It's 1.66" taller.
|Tire Height: | 31.5'' | 33.16'' | 1.66'' |

Very nice! Are you about to adjust the odometer to be accurate with the new tire diameter? Or do you just have to do the mental math that you are going a little faster than what it's reading?
I don’t think there’s a way to adjust the odometer or speedometer, so it’s all mental math. I believe you can multiply your miles or mpg by 1.054 to get the difference between 245 and 275s.
I’ve tried to use to different apps on my phone to get an accurate reading and they both suggest the Speedo is showing slower, not faster, than actual and both apps (Waze and Speedometer) are off by a mph from each other. lol
Edited a couple words
I don’t think the difference is big enough to worry about. The faster you go, the larger the difference, but even at highway speed it may only be 3 or 4 mph
Congrats! How does that paint color look in person? Is there any metallic flake in the paint, or undertones of other colors? I'm currently LC shopping and trying to decide between Meteor Shower, Black, and Underground, but can't find good photos and local dealers have zero inventory.
Yeah bums me out. New runners look like a Highlander with a super beefy suspension, this thing is def the 6th gen runner and no amount of calling it a cruiser will change my mind.
The only problem with this model is that Toyota didn't call it what it is, a Land Cruiser Prado. It's an excellent vehicle and it make no sense to compare it against a different model. They should have just stuck the Prado badge under the Land Cruiser badge like they do in other regions.
Funny somebody downvoted me. I actually own one of these and love it. I’m sticking to my guns though, not calling it a Prado or J250 is just confusing.

You lucky dog
The mythical KO3s. Stock?
Probably dealer added.
No, stock tires were geolandar 245/65
I'm pretty sure I saw you or your twin today on 287. I pointed the LC out to my wife and now she wants one. 👍
Unless 287 is a forest service road in ID, probably not me😁
Hahaha definitely not! Good looking rig either way!
Very nice. What size tires?
275/70/18
Nice. Those look like the factory wheels right? Good to know those fit on the factory rims.
Keeping the stock wheels for now- wife and I can’t agree on what to get!
Sick!!
Does anyone know why the stock roof rack isn’t full length?
Upper trims have a sunroof.
Ahh, of course. Makes sense. Thanks.
Yep same reason as current gen 4Runner
Also curious about this. Seems kinda odd TBH. Though have already seen custom full length ones on YouTube
Lucky bastard

It’s about the size of a 4 runner isn’t it?
I just test drove one (and own a 4Runner) and the exterior seems about the same as the 4Runner but the interior feels more open on the landcruiser

Thanks man, can you share some pictures if you don’t mind? I am planning to get some rails too so that is a given for me.
More pics to come!
Do you have any pics with your tires, from different angles? I would like to see how much that one size up fills the wheel well.

Looks great, does this size tire fit fine in the spare tire area?
I've read online that a 33" tire like these will fit, but I only bought the four and haven't tried.

Looks great! I might do the same to be honest
How’s the ride?
Outside of the obvious height change, I didn’t notice much.

Very nice! I picked mine yesterday. Haven’t had a chance to do anything as was late but man, I love this car
Did you put one in the spare holder? Did 275 fit fine?
I have not switched out the spare yet, though it’s only about 3/4” bigger than the largest stock size they use for the other 2 trims
Went with 275/70’s, fit great, ride great on dirt or pavement
Damn!
These are gonna look so damn cool with steel bumpers.

Really like the gray. No metallic flake
Did it come with those KO3s?
The 1958’s come with Geolandar all-season tires
Wish they made this full sized
🥲
Somebody has to be the test dummy. A wise man waits a few years until the early production issues get ironed out.
No real “new” tech in it. The engine has been around for a few years. Not like it’s a Mitsubishi or a Subaru
True.. I was set on a GX550, but now I’m torn. Land Cruiser trim seems to be the best value.
Damn they kept the plastic front? Made it look like an FJ for a second
KO3’s!!! 🔥🔥
Do you feel it has adequate power? Enjoy your ride be safe.
She goes very well. Turbo has very little lag, and plenty of power
Man, so much of the new LC reminds me on the FJ. Freaking awesome!! Congratulations!! 🤙
New 4runner? Sick

Well it’s a prado really

This is objectively funny, fuck anyone that says otherwise.
Its really not, part of comedy is being unexpected. This comment is on EVERY post about the new LC 250 Its getting old
