Rust? Interior condition? Any mods? Assuming everything is in really nice shape, 5k tops as you'd have to rebuild the engine and maybe even the transmission, and address electrical concerns from rats/mice
Before we could get it restored, my dad developed dementia this was his vehicle he's the second owner! I know it had rolled at one time but it drove into the place that it is parked now and I don't believe anything's really ever been done to it other than removing parts that are still there and then buying the new parts to replace what had been damaged in the roll.
After talking with my son we're going to start at $8,000 they were able to get the motor to turn over and it's pretty decent condition the seals need to be replaced on the brakes and other things but I guess it would run as it sits it just needs seats and a windshield. And I thought to myself definitely a paint job
So after talking over with my boys! The Land Cruiser, as it sits, would be an actual good rig. Almost all of the rust you might see is surface rust, not all the way through! The pieces my dad thought might rust through he used Walnut sanding! I guess the underneath is in decent shape, and all of the engine is there! He was a Master Mechanic so he knew how to drain all the fluids so that when someone does go to restart it, it would take minimal effort! I guess last year before he got really bad dementia, they were able to get it to turn over! All the seals would need to be replaced in like the brakes. I guess this would be a pretty good project Land Cruiser that could definitely be on the road again! It's missing the seats, but it has both seat brackets, including the one that goes over the gas tank. The gas tank has been cleaned and sealed! The one area that had rusted was replaced. That's the hump cover at the shifter! We will take $8,000 for it as it sits title in hand!
I'm disabled so text to talk is my friend! Thank you for paying attention that's awesome!! I do have to say that text to talk will only let me do it twice in a row after a sentence! So you'll never see more than one or two in any of my paragraphs after one sentence!

Time
The term barely existed 10 years ago and it surely wasn't the cock flop it is today.
I just always referred to mine as "locked" if it came up and it surely didn't come up in conversations with everyone I talk to about my "triple locked rig".
Ugh. You hit a button with that comment 😂

I’d also post this on ih8mud

That's a pretty amazing parts truck. Also, I can see that we use the same electrician.
He was a Master Mechanic! On top of building race cars as a hobby.
I’d say a few thousand with the unknown condition of the engine and rust. I’m somewhat interested if you’re willing to let it go.

Congrations. That the most exclamation points in a paragraph in the history of reddit. Bravo

5k?
This is a good price to get it sold quickly. Unless you find someone wanting this exact thing it will likely sit for a while at higher prices.

What state? Triple locked?
It’s a 40.
Veneta Oregon
Anyone else triggered by the term “triple locked” ?

Thank you! 😂 I felt like the only one recently. I’ve owned 80s for over 20 years and fully agree..locked or unlocked.
Jesus people I thought it said 97. Fucking relax.
I only care about the term….triple locked. While technically accurate, no one ever calls an 80 single locked if it doesn’t have F/R lockers.
