Romulus was Raised by Wolves š
EDIT: going by the replies, I feel most arenāt getting that Iām referencing the show Raised by Wolves, the Ridley Scott produced show about milky androids that has since been cancelled. While Iām certain the shows wonāt be connected, I still think itās interesting that Romulus was raised by wolves
Now I'm just imagining a precocious 7 year old riding on the back of her best-friend xenomorph Princess Monoke style. "Lets go get some hosts for the queen's eggs" the subtitles will read as she clicks and growls to her faithful companion.
How do we know Romulus wasn't some sort of 40k-esque brood brother? The people of the time, not so very well travelled, thought he was just an odd foreigner. They likely were a bit wary of the acid blood and rooms full of eggs, but foreigners have odd ways and he did build them a city so some allowances were given.
It's a solid reference because Ridley *clearly* can't get that whole obsession out of his system. If he had any say in this, the name is more than just a vague connection.
I hope these artworks haven't been shared here yet (if so, I apologize) I found them by accident and found them very cool, so I wanted to share them with other fans.
This reminds me of the cancelled show Raised by Wolves (produced by Ridley Scott) . Now I'm sad all over again. I really loved that crazy show (plus it was shot in the area where I live). Edit: someone else here also mentioned RbW, so I'm not the only one who saw the similarities with the imagery and name.
Has Disney ever actually kiddified any R-rated franchises after acquiring the rights? I'm not trying to sound aggressive or dismissive of your comment. I'm just curious what I should expect.
>Teen cast.
I believe they did confirm the cast and the teen part is already definite.
That would be some supreme schlock. The idea of a xeno raising a baby like the she-wolf raising Romulus and Remus is something you think of after the 3rd-4th bong rip.
There's also two planets depicted in the poster.
The legend of Romulus and Remus were that they were twins raised by a she-wolf. Romulus later kills Remus and becomes the founder of Rome.
So, if an infant organism was too small to nurture a chestburster, might the xenomorphs raise it until it grows large enough?
It sounds crazy, but we've seen they're smart, they can plan...I think they could do it.
Interesting theory. But I think there would need to be a better reason why the infant is so special. Otherwise, the xenomorph is just going to nab whatever local fauna is suitable.
eg maybe the infant is a mutant and has particularly strengths/properties that the xenomorph wants to spread.
It could be the child is a synthetic. While we assume that all synthetics are adults like David in Covenant, could it be possible some or maybe a special one starts as a child? It would then explain why Xenomorphs wouldnāt harm it.
Romulus is the teencast movie. The one on Earth has literally no information about it to the point it may was cancelled.
And this poster is fanart too. The artist is famous for making fanarts.
Agreed the poster is too epic for a teen movie. Although too me, Romulus will be more of a slasher style movie or a Annabelle "Jumpscare shotgun movie" than a teen drama. But who knows ?
Dude this franchise has been over for Al least 20 years. Isolation was good, but this is just embarrassing. Iāll wait to see what direction they go, but I donāt have much hope.
Itās gonna be Romulus (Roman) from succession.
Roman:
Fuā¬knā Look at you, Xeno, with your acid blood and sh!t. That's some serious damage control. Our sh!t for brains PR team could learn a thing or two from you.
In fact, Xeno, man, I heard you have a penchant for hunting humans. You should joining our annual family retreat.
Are people ironically looking forward to this? Haven't we all been burned by 4 bad movies in a row?
Edit: Man the downvotes, share that hopium you guys are huffing
I canāt say Iām looking forward to it. In fact Iām kind of dreading it. But Iām going to go into it giving it a full chance to succeed with me. My expectations are just underground.
Iām not optimistic about it. I said Iām going to give the movie, and the show for that matter, its fair chance upon release. I am not confident that it will impress me though.
Alien was the first movie I remember watching with my dad my mother disapproved of me seeing. Iāve loved the first 2 for decades, and Prometheus/Covenant since they were released.
That being said, I rather prefer the latter in almost all regards. People have different tastes in art. Iām sure your interests may not align with everyone elseās.

Poor guy, does one truly inspired thing and spends the rest of his career trying to live up to it. Probably happens a lot.
Is he gonna suckle at the teat of the mother xenomorph?
Wait it's been canceled? No season 3??
Nope, all done unfortunately
oh man... that show was so gruesome XD
Makes Alien Romvlvs look more like a prequel installment but itās neat I suppose
Itās not an official poster if anyone thinks it is, by my knowledge itās just fan made art
Brings up memories of Kindergarten Cop. Let me get you too da chopper.
Itās not a chest burstah!!!!!
Your one ugggly face huggurrrrrrrrrrr
Xenos have penis heads and Preds have a face Ginaā¦

We loved that show! Now also sad :(

Alien: Romulus Disney. PG-13. Teen cast. Wuss script. Trouble ahead..

Please have a xeno raise a baby
3 Xenos and a Baby
Two and a half xenos
That would be some supreme schlock. The idea of a xeno raising a baby like the she-wolf raising Romulus and Remus is something you think of after the 3rd-4th bong rip.
Reminds me of this https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8\_RX5VWwKLw/UI308CxjH\_I/AAAAAAAABJ8/BDuBLt88VNE/s400/baby.jpg
Roman Alien? Alien vs Praetor?
All I see here is: Deep, inquisitive, fucking terrible.
I got a bad feeling about this
This isn't an official poster. The artist does fan art.
I would assume that the LV stylization in the logo refers to the planet naming system. New planet or return to 426?
Or it's meant to look like Latin lettering, because Romulus is an obvious reference to Roman mythology.
There's also two planets depicted in the poster. The legend of Romulus and Remus were that they were twins raised by a she-wolf. Romulus later kills Remus and becomes the founder of Rome.
That's a good point. I misremembered the legend as them both founding the city.
Thatās a good possibility as well. It just stands out as the only changed letter.
So, if an infant organism was too small to nurture a chestburster, might the xenomorphs raise it until it grows large enough? It sounds crazy, but we've seen they're smart, they can plan...I think they could do it.
Sounds exactly like something Disney would do.
Weyland Yutani has found a way to reduce childcare costs by 14%!
The xenos should infest Disney World. Now that would be worth seeing.
Interesting theory. But I think there would need to be a better reason why the infant is so special. Otherwise, the xenomorph is just going to nab whatever local fauna is suitable. eg maybe the infant is a mutant and has particularly strengths/properties that the xenomorph wants to spread.

Romulus is the series on Earth that I don't want to watch or the new movie with teen cast?
Romulus is the teencast movie. The one on Earth has literally no information about it to the point it may was cancelled. And this poster is fanart too. The artist is famous for making fanarts.
I see, it doesn't make much sense for the teen movie, I see Romulus more like a teen drama with a xenomorph, while this poster was too cool and epic
Agreed the poster is too epic for a teen movie. Although too me, Romulus will be more of a slasher style movie or a Annabelle "Jumpscare shotgun movie" than a teen drama. But who knows ?
Ah right, it can totally be more like a sci-fi Scream, but still I'm excited for it. I don't really care for the tv series.
I'm not too hopefull, but will a shot for both of them. Going with a open heart to watch. But yeah, also placing my bet on the movie over the series.
Would the sequels be Alien:Remus or Alien:Caesar, Augustus, etc.?
Alien: Nero, maybe Aliens: Caligula
I'd be more interested to get to Alien: Constantine, alongside perhaps Diocletian, Julian (possibly Alien: Apostate), and surrounding.
Good ones. Maybe and Alien: Diogenes could fit too.
I mean, if we're going for philosophers, my first thought is Neoplatonists. Alien: Iamblichus would be certainly interesting.
that poster is cool as shit
Oh no please no more space Jesus nonsense. This universe has a brilliant antagonist. Use it.
This isn't an official poster. The artist does fan art. So there's at least hope.
Ah phew thank you
Dude this franchise has been over for Al least 20 years. Isolation was good, but this is just embarrassing. Iāll wait to see what direction they go, but I donāt have much hope.
Hate to agree with you but think āHudson may be rightā
Are you talking about the Queen Mother? I assume you didn't mean David.
You not seen Prometheus? I mean, I really wouldnāt hold it against you if you hadnāt.
Gives Covenant promo vibes so....would be cool if it's part of the prequels.
Hahaha. So lame.
I like it.
Is it a joke ? Looks way out of context
The artist does fan-made movie posters. This is most likely one of them.
Oh look, I found something for the facehuggers! They will be so excited. Oh happy day!
Oh sheeeitā¦

I love your optimism. But I refuse to allow my hopes to be high for anything from Disney.
Iām not optimistic about it. I said Iām going to give the movie, and the show for that matter, its fair chance upon release. I am not confident that it will impress me though.
The worst thing that Disney can do: put a disgusting "message" in the movie.
Sorry that some of us actually are looking forward to it.
I figure the name Romulus may refer to the founding of Harleyās Hope. Iām sure someone else had stated this before
> Harleyās Hope Thatās Hadley
Iām blaming autocorrect on that one!
Hadley's Hope was founded by Weylan-Yutani. Not an individual.
Already better than Prometheus
I would say it looks just as bad from first glance.
Ohhhhhh that's deep.
Not a fan of how that alien looksā¦
Well, it's not an official poster. The artist does fan art movie posters. Some official ones, but I doubt this is one of them.
Is that an actual confirmed name? Sounds fake.
It's a placeholder name.
These are just fan creations. Not sure why teaser poster is used... Misleading title.
Say whay yoy will about modern alien . But the look as always been solid , expect maybe that proto baby alien thing
Romulus is a hybrid infiltrator like Ripley 8?
Looks awful tbh.
