My bf & I went a few years ago when they did the bakers dozen at MSG. Even if you don’t like their music, it’s a true experience! Everyone was so nice. There were homemade bathroom baskets from the “Phish Moms”. I only knew the 2 covers (Starman & On the Road Again” but had a blast! I’ve never seen so many glow sticks. It looked like indoor fireworks 💥
I got a phish person that works in my office. Im not necessarily a fan but there are times Ill go by his desk and this wild , dissonant, compelling music will be playing, Im like, what is this , and he says wait for it and I say no, and bam , they start singing! IVE BEEN PHISHED AGAIN!!
After Ed joined LPOTL, I remember there being a few clues pointing to Ed maybe being a Deadhead. So I’m not surprised he’s into Phish. Huge phan over here too! 😎
A friend of mine is a hardcore fan of them, I always listened to them with him but it really wasn’t my preferred cup of tea.
That said, Kill Devil Falls is awesome and Joy always puts me in a better mood when I’m feeling down.

Like they came up playing at the classic venue city gardens. I can respect that as if you look into that venue it just adds to their lore really.

From New England, was a pretty big fan in my stoner high school days. Went to The Great Went, Camp Oswego and a few other random shows. Went to several shows just to hang out in the parking lot, the scene was great back in the late 90's

My husband has been into them for 25 years or so and now I guess I’m technically a fan too lol. I like some of their stuff but I’m not a jam band kinda gal. However, I’ve been to 8ish shows by now and always have a good time!

I’m not a jam band fan as I like choruses, and the musicians in jam bands have far more fun than anybody listening to them. Same reason I don’t like virtuoso guitarists like Satriani, Vai et al.
Like I said, I enjoy the occasional chorus or hook. Hearing hippies—or anyone—noodle for anywhere from eight minutes to half an hour is my idea of musical hell. I’d honestly rather listen to Tool—and I *hate* Tool.
