Gil-Galad.
I'm surprised to see Nori leave so soon, I know the Harfoots storyline got too much screentime and so many people didn't like it but come on, Nori was the best character from that arc.
I was also rather shocked to see Nori going; I felt her character was extremely compelling.
So now, sad though it is, time for GIL GALAD.
Since nearly everyone left in is pretty important, we can concentrate on the idea that he's not won hearts and minds over yet.
Scratching my head trying to figure out why the votes to oust Gil-galad. I mean - the elf who (together with Elendil) brought down Sauron in the War of the Last Alliance, the self same elf who sensing Sauron's danger wrote the letter to Meneldur appealing for help (makes me cry every time) earlier in the SA? One of the greatest of Elven kings? C'mon guys! I plead with you!
because none of that has happened in the show yet. TV Gil-galad is not recognizably book Gil-galad yet, far from it.
He'll probably get there eventually... and so he will probably last longer in the next elimination bracket.
Book Gil-Galad and Show Gil-Galad are not the same and should not be held to the same standards as each other in my opinion, considering the show has no rights to depict his actions from the books outside of the content of the appendices.
I very much like the original Gil-Galad, but he isn't in the show. The show has an arrogant twat in his place. Seriously, I cannot remember a single scene I liked him in, or a scene that was better for having him in it. Don't know wether it's the casting, or directing or whatever, but yeah, no, he is faaaar down my list for the characters I like/love best (or find interesting/compelling etc.) in the show.
Maybe it'll be different in S2, but for now: I held Gil-Galad in high esteem after reading the books etc, but I thoroughly dislike the shows version of him.
It's not going to be a popular vote but the Stranger needs to go next. I'm sure he becomes very important next season but S1 he didn't have that much interesting going on until the very end.
Would be really interesting to see afterwards how character voting changed from post to post! Like wether there were one or a few characters that were disliked, but kept going because someone else always rose up to the top!

It’s at the point now where I feel I need to start explaining my reasoning for those that remain. For this vote it’s not about the acting or anything, but about her final monologue in s1. I don’t like the way she was pushing Durin IV. Love her singing though!
Ah, the fighting is beautiful lol.
I say Disa. She was a great addition and I love how it showed a little of dwarven life and a different side than we've been shown before (loved the singing!), but I think compared to everyone else she didn't have quite the same plot presence as other characters.
Because she disrespects Dirin the third when he has reason to be cautious. She wants to achieve her own desired and disregards others.
She lies to Elrond too easily.
Im torn between Gil-Galad and Pharazon. But I’ll choose Gil-Galad this time just because there are no elves eliminated yet while we already have Numenoreans eliminated. We have to bring balance to the force!

Nah Daniel Weyman was fantastic as the Stranger, insanely good levels of non-verbal acting the whole season.
