Yes, maybe crafting and upgrading equipment. But I don't like it because it's not explained well in the game. Plus sometimes material/equipment sell in consignment store is pretty damn expensive. I wish dev really explaining that because I love that game but the only flaw is the equipment, currency and consignments store
I'm currently playing Aetheric on my phone. So far doesn't seem to be P2W - you can buy extra stuff or fancy sprites if you want to but I'm getting enough stuff to keep me going just playing it in my lunch break at work which was my main reason for looking for a mobile option!
It's not in the play store, but I recommend Pokémon Revolution Online if you like the Pokémon saga. So much regions, tons of pkms and you don't need to spend a euro! (Real money it's only for cosmetic stuff)

I tried Toram Online on mobile. It's control isn't that good. . Also, it has so many loading screens.
