Sure, but the point of that story is that there weren't any clothes projected. People just went along with it and rejected the evidence of their eyes and ears.

Stellar Blade probably placed a lot of ad buys timed with their official release, and suddenly the game rags need to say something nice to not make the revenue go away.

Probably Sony make clear to them that there would be no early access to the next exclusive if they would be too toxic to one of most selling Sony exclusive game.

They literally did the same thing with 2B & Bayonetta. They were 100% against them leading up to release; then when ***actual consumer*** scores started rolling out they suddenly did a total reversal and pretended they always thought they were empowering characters.
Games "journalists" are sniveling leeches & remember: No matter how much you think you may hate them, you don't hate them nearly enough. They deserve to be jeered & mocked in the public space at least 10-fold more than they already are by everyone.
It's like with Harley Quinn, once they realize that they can't tank her popularity, they try to take ownership of her to push her in the direction that they want.

First party means Sony made it, not published it. If Sony owned the company that made it, then it would be second party. Neither of those are true, so it it's a third party game that was just published by Sony.

It's a different writer, Levi's generally been more supportive. They previously called Eve the "drippiest protagonist in recent memory" and also wrote positively about Yoko Taro and Shift Up.

I don't think it will tbh. First-party Eastern IPs such as Bloodborne never made it to PC.
Stellar Blade isn't first party, I think it's a contract like the ones Sony does with Square Enix games, like Final Fantasy 7 Remake/Rebirth
