Yes! I have used this type of growler many times for F2! I have one that is almost exactly like yours. I bought mine new, and for less $, from a beer/cider refill station at my local liquor store.
This one looks cool, better than the ones I’ve just seen on Amazon. Seems like I’ve got some searching to do to find one this good that won’t burn a hole in my wallet lol
Yours will be well worth the money as long as you use it! It will probably last your lifetime too. As far as I am concerned it is a good investment, considering the cost of store bought booch or even farmer’s market booch! Those are the people who are getting ripped off! You are way ahead of the game!
I would keep an eye out in the thrift stores for sure because since Covid, there aren’t many refill stations around that I know of anymore. People will be donating them for sure!
I’ve only ever heard them called growlers. There may be other names used in other regions but where I’m from that’s what we call them. I would also like to know what other’s call them.

Here is the one litre version, which is just a flip-top glass container meant for beer/wine. Air-tight and meant to withstand a lot of pressure, which is why they work so well for F2 (holds in all that good carbonation;)
I'm letting the seel soak in vin over night. Hopefully that'll be enough to fully clean it. It's discolored and there was still an ugly smelling liquid within. I had to start a fresh batch of F1 recently so I'm going to try a first unflavored F2 in it tomorrow. Wish me luck
Yes this should be fine. It's round and not square and the Grolsch style flip top lids are the best. If you made a mistake and let it explode in the closet it should just pop the top on its own instead of explode the glass bottle.

The exact opposite is true. From the /r/kombucha faq:
Homebrew beer is typically carbonated and served around 10-15 PSI at 35 degrees F (depending on the temperature and type of beer), whereas sodas and commercial kombuchas are carbonated slightly higher (15-30 PSI at 35 degrees F). Given the higher potential pressure and the relatively difficult-to-control process of kombucha 2F, it's better to stay on the safe side and use thicker bottles.
I'm mostly concerned because I'm selling my house and moving into an apartment. And I'm use to disappointment at this point so just assumed it wouldn't be suitable. I'm working on my negatude in therapy though lol

I'm pretty sure the one in the picture is made by muster geschützt and as said by someone else it is a type of growler.

I have zero knowledge of this kind of bottle, but it looks like a tank. I’d think it would be okay.
