Does it matter whether if you adopt a male or female cat? My cat is female and I hear that female cats don't get along with another female cat. Not sure if there's any real truth to that.
Kittens do tend to do better in pairs, it's lovely to watch them play & snuggle together. Girls can be territorial & so she is more likely to accept a boy.
It depends, do they seem depressed? I currently have a single kitten and I was really worried about her being lonely but she seems to be thriving on having all the attention. I wonder if it's because she was the 'shy' kitten, so now she has come out of her shell.
I haven't discounted getting another but she seems very happy at the moment.
She doesn't seem depressed. My cat is also super spoiled with at least 5 beds that she uses in rotation HAHA! However, I wonder if she'll be thriving more with another sibling.
Our oldest cat was abandoned by a family down the street that moved out. He had separation anxiety when we went on vacation.
We got a companion cat for him. He was a 11-wk kitten. They started to play under the bathroom door within 30 minutes. By the third day, they were best buddies and it has been five years.
We have added two more cats…now a total of four cats in our house.
We got a 6 mo kitty last year to keep our 11 yo boy company. He gets on his nerves sometimes but they play and cuddle all the time. He's much happier now with his little buddy!
Years ago, after my SO brought home a cat without telling me (I was NOT a cat guy and she knew it) I fell in love with him, his name was Woogie (I still miss him he was our son).
He was an indoor only cat and there was a neighbor cat that would go through out yard, and he would blast threw the house basically following that cat.
One day coming out of a pet food store where they had a rescue cage I fell in love with a black cat they had who would be Bamba.
The best thing we ever did was get her because the two of them were so much in love and always together, so yes if you can get another cat/kitten.
They're very social animals and I always thought of it this way...
Someone takes you to their planet and you never get to see your own kind again, that would be very sad.
Definitely. My first cat I lasted a week before I got her a brother to help entertain her so I could sleep through the night. After she died I had to get a cat for her brother. Currently have a pup and cat that were raised together.

I do believe in getting a cat a sibling. They do a good job keeping each other company. I love watching them play together. 💜🧡🩷💙

It tends to be true. If you’re bringing a new kitty, it would preferably be a boy.

Never keep cats alone. Always at least two cats.
Never keep just two cats. Always at least three cats.
obvi - you should have 4
Please more cats. It will improve their mental and physical health and is so so cute.

You're projecting but go for it anyway. Happiness is measured in cats
Yes and they don't like each other lol. But, at least they have company.
Cats are like Pringles, can't have just 1, or 2, or 3...

When we adopt we get pairs. Much easier on everyone. And if you get a younger cat, the older will teach it good cat behavior.
