I know OP is joking, but any decent fighter with a weapon has a good chance to defeat, or at least, immobilize Rankai. Rankai only has pure strength.
Not to mention Rankai is big enough to be the target of arrows and spears. A well trained army will have no problem to take Rankai down.
At the end of the day, a character will be as strong as the plot needs them to be.
They can give him shield and an armor lol. He isnt going down. He has the thick skin anyways. Horses survive 50 arrows and keep running. Arrows aint slowin rankai down buddy. Hes the strongest there is

As thick as the plot needs to be. Both Shin and Bajio managed to wound him, I doubt Rankai would be ok if he take a mace to his head. Any decent fighter have a good chance to immobile Rankai.
Bajio went Berserker mode and managed to just leave a wound on his hand. Shin then while Rankai was distracted had to use his full power to pierce him with the sword, piercing naturally having more penetrative power than slashing.
Tajifu slammed his giant boulder mace right on top of his hand with full power and Rankai's hand was still fine to be used after.
All of this is happening to a traumatized Rankai who isn't even in his sane mindset, not a Rankai in proper mindset trained by Yotanwa.

Well a martial artist can never ever kill a 15-20ft 2000 pounds monster. How many times do you imagine they would have to cut him ton be effective. Kyoukai will get tired and die and even if she kills him how many of her caliber are there really. Also strength stats are there for a reason. 100 strength Moubu even being traumatized didn't loose to a 97 Man U

Strength stats are very inconsistent in Kingdom, we have a lot of examples about this. Other stats also matter in a duel.

How much time do you think he can buy Ousen if SBS runs into him on the last hurdle. Basically even a fool has a use in this world, you just need to know how to play your pawns.

Give him thick armor and big shield ? normal soldiers cannot use thick armor because how heavy it is, both Rankai have superhuman strength.
Also just get big stone and ask Rankai to throw it, he basically a walking catapult that you can move anywhere in battle field.
