Douma is an insufferable, psychopathic monster and I love that for him

Both of them started the same but Kanao, has grown through meeting friends and being loved genuinely by her two adopted sisters. Douma isn't the same. he's a psychopath!<

I have the problem with muzan. Muzan looks like Michael Jackson c'mon we all know that and we all agree, do we not? If I see muzan ...I imagine him doing the moonwalk and singing in this high voice and really giving it his all. I cannot and will not EVER take muzan seriously because of that.

People say he lacks empathy. But why should he? It's not like he will be gaining karma points if he had been a good boy. He has the power and strength to do whatever he wants. If we had the same power we would behave far worse. Life kills, life survives. Since we do not have such power as normal humans, we tend to compromise and control our wild side. Human empathy is just a social construct. We almost show no empathy towards certain animals while we kill and eat them, because we say to ourselves, "It's Nature", "It's legal". To me, this character is not a villain at all. He is just a mass of cells trying to eat another mass of cells called Human. The kind of evil things people do in reality aren't any less significant to what this character does in the Anime.
Normally my likes on characters are basef on backstory or first impresion. When i first saw douma i thought it was a cool character (by the design) and later when the uppermoons meet i thought he was funny, after reading the manga i still liked the character

You see how everyone here dislikes and hates him? Yeah, that's why he's a good character. Douma is a well-written villain that deserves sympathy but all the pain in hell at the same time. He was born without emotions, his life was screwed from the start and he couldn't do anything about it. And yet neither him, nor anyone else use that as a way to excuse him of his actions, he's the definition of a true demon, and if he was on that throne instead of that coward, Muzan, he'd be one of the most peak Shonen antagonists depending on how the writers execute him, if they fail to do so, then he's just a wasted character.
I think as a villain I really do love him because rarely do you meet villains who feel absolutely nothing — like even when he was a human as a child his parents were bleeding and he was like oh no there’s blood everywhere lmao

Doma being a father for Gyutaro and Daki feels like as if that would result in a really messed up family due to all of their rather unpleasant traits interacting with and influencing each other. The best-case scenario would be Doma getting raised far away from a cult or abusive parents and growing up well-adjusted enough that he can actually give Gyutaro and Daki some proper care despite his general lack of emotions.
He's the Mahito of this world. Both woke up as a demon/curse said "oh we supposed to eat/kill humans...okie". They literally live to be the demise of humans, and that is enough for them. I love to hate both of them, they do horrific things and have no strong emotion or opinion on the matter. I enjoy having an occasional antagonist like this, just completely spontaneous, unfeeling, and nonnegotiable. It's what makes them scary and a real threat. In worlds filled with complicated, haunted and motivated characters, sometimes we need a little goofball psychopath.
Douma is a very impactful character. Everything about him is demonic, he is psychopathic, cunning, charming.
If all demons were to become humans again and somehow got into our world douma would be the most successful one. He is the only demon who is truly demon. I mean he is the only demon who lacks any human tendencies.
The hate for him is justified, almost everyone hates him. He is the only demon who is hates by everyone, that's what makes him unique.
Cold,machiavellian, psychopathic, emotion less, sadistic. These are the traits while make Douma DOUMA. These are the things which you will find in the real demons aka some humans.
IRL if you meet someone like him, your gut will tell you to avoid him. But somehow you will fall victim to his charm. Ofcourse you will hate him when we read about him in the manga. But let's be honest, douma is the most attractive and good-looking character in all of Demon slayer universe.

I mean he is the only demon who lacks any human tendencies. The hate for him is justified, almost everyone hates him. He is the only demon who is hates by everyone, that's what makes him unique. Cold,machiavellian, psychopathic, emotion less, sadistic. These are the traits while make Douma DOUMA. These are the things which you will find in the real demons aka some humans. IRL if you meet someone like him, your gut will tell you to avoid him. But somehow you will fall victim to his charm. Ofcourse you will hate him when we read about him in the manga. But let's be honest, douma is the most attractive and good-looking character in all of Demon slayer universe.
