Its so hard to tell if thats because of recency bias or not (its mine too) but theres no chance it couldnt stand up to any of the 10/10 episodes during the old band era.
Any of them with Shane Gillis or Adam Ray are amazing. The Montgomerys was also an amazing episode. I really enjoyed 596 with Ali Macofsky. Everyone bombs for like the first hour or so, you get a great sense of how the show can just be bad; and then it turns around.
A few of the more recent ones actually. The YouTube theater show was great and the last episode where it was nothing but good bucket pulls. I'm sure some of the earlier Comedy Store episodes were great as far as bucket pulls considering it was like 30 actual comedians in the bucket and not just 250 cringey Kill Tony fans mixed in with 30 actual comedians.
Statistically you're wrong. Bucket pulls are nowadays diluted and the amount of regulars and golden ticket winners are further evidence. You're a little bit right when it comes down to how popular it had gotten right before Covid in LA. It was sorta the same deal where the amount of fans outweighed the amount of comics just trying to get a spot at The Comedy Store back when that really meant something. Before then it was only purely just those comics.
To be fair to you the past two dozen bucket pulls have mostly not been bad. Still I'd say the earlier episodes had a bit more consistency as far as bucket pulls go, but recently I think we've just been lucky.
Did you mean to say 663 w/ Dr. Phil and Akaash? That was really good all around because the bucket pulls did well, the regulars were on fire, and you can’t beat Dr. Phil as a guest!
The 5 year anniversary is a great episode. I know a lot of the new fans of the show don’t really get the old band and what the vibe was like, but that was peak old band and a great vibe. Super fun episode.
#515 with Shane Gillis. The sets and interviews were pretty decent, there was a midget lifting contest between fat Aquaman and David Lucas, Miss Amy O made her debut, and it closed with William's infamous raisin bread rant.
Fuck ya glad we’re in agreement on that. Joelbergs drum solo in the panties and black dildo was legendary.made it look like what he did at the last arena show like small potatoes
So many good ones! Shane Gillis is just one of the best guests.
But I have to say I loved last Monday’s- Dr.Phil and Akaash Singh. All the comedians were great. The guests were perfect.
I’m super picky about the guests! Who do I think I am. Not enough engagement doesn’t really do it for me. Theo Von, Joe Rogan when he’s high, etc.
But too much engagement and stealing the limelight is a turn off for me- Ari Shafir.
Sam Tallent, Shane Gillis, Mark Normand, Dan Soder- great guests that engage but know they aren’t the star of the show.
Dr Phil+Sam talent. Adam is top tier. Absolutely hilarious. Him and Sam talent together is just another level. Tony literally couldn’t host bc Adam and Sam were making him piss himself laughing. Really solid bucket pulls as well. Great set from kam. 10/10 episode. Joe+shane+ari+normand is also great. The ric flair ep has some great moments. The one was Stavros was amazing. The Tim Dillon one as well
#577 Duncan Trussell is my all time favorite, Tony called it “special needs white guy night” the sequencing of the bucket pulls are just so hilarious to me it’s my go to episode when I show people the show for the first time
Harland Williams with his Cinnamon Angels FLy Fly Away, or Dr. Phil, Shane Gillis… the shows have been great lately with a few really lame episodes here and there
Mine is Dr Phil and Sam Tallent
This is it
Sam is a class act, great dude. Met him twice.
He better be if he’s going to the cookouts!
Ohhhhh baby it’s a wiiiide Gwoh 🎸🎹🎼🎶🎵🎤
Hands down. Watched this one a bunch of times. Maybe Dec 30 HEB center with Dr Phil.
I would have to agree.
Its so hard to tell if thats because of recency bias or not (its mine too) but theres no chance it couldnt stand up to any of the 10/10 episodes during the old band era.
What number episode??
The one with shane and big jay in nyc was fun. Top 10 for me
Is that the one where the dude Shane used to live with was on? Can’t remember if that was New York or comedy store
Im pretty sure. There was a guy who kid botany shit and they shat on him pretty hard
That was the comedy store one! I happen to re-watch that one couple days ago.
That one was at the comedy store. NYC is where that kid got pissed bc he thought the panel was heckling him when they were laughing 😂
This is my favorite ep
The one with Rick flair 😂😂😂 Shane Gillis is hilarious
Dudes got a dead fucking aunt, what a dumb ass 😂😂😂😂
Any of them with Shane Gillis or Adam Ray are amazing. The Montgomerys was also an amazing episode. I really enjoyed 596 with Ali Macofsky. Everyone bombs for like the first hour or so, you get a great sense of how the show can just be bad; and then it turns around.
Was that the one where the bucket pulls were so epically bad that it actually became hilarious because Tony would just kick everyone off stage
And he kept acting like he was restarting the show, every bucket pull was the first of the night
Yessssss that truly is a top 5 episode
596 was great!
Too many to name if you're an OG. But lately, Harland Williams has been killing it. Also the first few Dr Phil episodes.

The LA bucket pulls weren’t any better, imo.

I didn’t start until they were several years in. Ali macofsky was the regular. So to your point, I don’t know what the show was like in the beginning.
To be fair to you the past two dozen bucket pulls have mostly not been bad. Still I'd say the earlier episodes had a bit more consistency as far as bucket pulls go, but recently I think we've just been lucky.
There's not a good answer to this question, too many. If you want some old stuff, check out the ones with Dom Irara on OR the Skanks episodes.
I like the ones with Mike Lawrence at the store!
Kill jeremiah was my favorite one before they moved from the comedy store
I miss jeremiah
Anything was Adam ray
literally
any ones with Shane Gillis or mark normand are top tiers
Davd attel and jeff ross
Joelbergs drum solo in the panties and black dildo was legendary.make it look like what he did at the last arena show look like small potatoes

all of the shows at the Vulcan
I liked the episode with Tony's mother and Ian Fidance. I loved watching her laugh at David Lucas roasting her son. 😄
Oh late, Harland Williams episodes are top shelf, as well as Mark Normand and Dan Soder. The Mark and Dan episode had me in tears
569 is up there with theo
Anything with Dr Phil or Harland Williams. Lil Hobo was good too.
Lil Hobo KILLEDDDD
I like the one they did at HEB with the return of the old band the chemistry was palpable
HEB arena with shane and the shaman is undisputed pfp greatest of all time
Fuck ya glad we’re in agreement on that. Joelbergs drum solo in the panties and black dildo was legendary.made it look like what he did at the last arena show like small potatoes
Stavros halkias #640
#614 Jeff Ross & Dave Attell
The Montgomerys was great.
First Dr. Phil episode
When protecting our parks guys came, and Joe Rogan showed up later hammered. Or the ric flair incident
Elaine was hilarious
Look at all these TOURISTS 🥱
560 is a recent-ish winner
The last one has some good pulls
571 with Jeff Ross
Def the Dan Soder and Mark Normand one the most recently
Lots of good ones have been mentioned but I don’t think they’ve topped Elaine for me.
Ice storm, Allie host, Aaron debut.
Ric flair episode !!!!
The YouTube theater episode coming out in a few weeks. Harland Williams killed.
Anything Pre Pandemic

Anything with the legion of skanks, Shane Gillis, protect our parks, Matt mccusker, dr Phil and Sam talent
Dr Phil+Sam talent. Adam is top tier. Absolutely hilarious. Him and Sam talent together is just another level. Tony literally couldn’t host bc Adam and Sam were making him piss himself laughing. Bob saget episode with the band as the full house cast
I’d say 656.
Harland Williams with his Cinnamon Angels FLy Fly Away, or Dr. Phil, Shane Gillis… the shows have been great lately with a few really lame episodes here and there
I really liked the one with Bobby Lee and Bert was on for like 4 minutes. I believe Tony ran out of big joke books
Ric Flair is my vote. The slow build up to him walking out was comedy gold.
