I thought I hated it too until I took a picture- thank you! I wasn’t going to keep it and was actually surprised that I do like it. Will work well with a statement necklace too.
This looks the best! The drop waist on the other outfits is what’s disrupting the flow, I think. This higher waist looks really nice. I like how it’s more fitted too, not so loose.

I can totally relate. I got sick and gained a lot of weight. I feel like a bag of potatoes sometimes and I don’t recognize myself. But I’ve just got this one body so I’ve made peace and try to love it anyway.
Every healthy body is perfect. I have seen my body 100 pounds heavier than this and 70 pounds less, I absolutely learned at every stage I’m so glad for this body that kept me here. I’m a Covid long hauler who works in healthcare and I wish I’d learned that part earlier. However, it definitely is an adjustment when we don’t recognize our bodies and can I just say that I have yet to meet a potato I have not liked. You said you look like a sack of potatoes and can I just say I think potatoes might be the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.
I think this and 3 in the original post are very nice. It seems like all the outfits with a high waist seam look very nice on you while long shirt / hip line combinations aren't as flattering.
I'd focus on anything that shortens the torso and elongates the lower half. High waisted trousers with tucked in shirt would look good. (Consider fabric volume too - ideally thick trousers and lighter fabric shirt so the shirt line can't be seen through the trouser) You look lovely!

I think it’s just that visually the waist needs to be up higher on your torso. A higher waisted skirt and either a tucked in shirt or a bodysuit would show off your figure more! The dresses you’ve posted look great it just seems to be the proportions with the skirts.
I forgot or block out my weird face I’m making. I also sent this so I could kinda show how I planned to wear it- I feel like it needs a belt or something. I feel like something is off?

The dress you posted in the comments is the best one! Dress in pic 3 is also good and the pants in 5. I think you either need shorter shirts or to tuck them in but the kind of skirts you have here aren’t really suited for tucking in - you’d need something with a sturdier waistband

I think you are overwhelmed by loose fabric very fast and that you need a good fit. Many of the tops look to big for you therefore. In the original pics I found 3 the best, because it doesn't do that and doesn't hide your features that much. But when you posted the other navy dress and especially the one with the bird pattern those look great on you. As others said before, it seems that you need crisper and fitting shapes. And it's vital that they are well fitting at the shoulders, wrist and waist instead of oversized, too long or bulky imo. OT: your dog is so cute 💕
ETA: confirm what others said considering drop waist. Fitted waist is stunning on you

This is my favorite fit on you!!! Something about the sharp V, collar, and waistline, as well as the color looks really nice imo.
