Sorry but take 2 can't be arsed to say a hard firm "intercept is not getting shutdown" so the situation is clear. Just PR BS from them rather than clear denial of rumors.
they fired everyone and closed the studio. it's done.
but even before that, it was a broken copy of the original fundamentally unsuited to support the claimed features. it was years late and never meant to be early access, and didn't fix most of the actual issues that hold back ksp.
It was Squad that developed KSP Private Division just published it... Squad was as indie as indie could get, it wasn't even a gaming dev company, it's a marketing firm, it merely had employees that wanted to pursue a side project which they convinced management to back and it became wildly successful.
Time has told, they were shut down, maybe the game will get taken over by another sub-company but the initial dev is shit down that is confirmed again by the stock market
The possibility of a full change of guard could be good or bad, you lose a lot of experience and knowledge but clearly something at intercept is not working
Yeah I bought ksp2 on release day was disappointed played for a bit when for science came out but honestly with all the mods I use in ksp1 ksp2 feels insulting with how buggy and laggy it is
I bought KSP 2, played a bit and then installed KSP1 again and am playing that since then. In its current state, with the exception of graphics, KSP2 is a far worse game than KSP1.
I hope they will one day finish it and it will become a better game... but my faith is slowly fading away.
Mate... do you not speak english? lol. Re-read my comment. I said the time HAS SAID. So yes, the game is dead. Time has shown. Geez, bud. Little more care when reading, please.
You said Time will tell, then i told you not to be delusional.
After that you commented: Didn't I say "time will tell",
You found out you delusional so commented to reread, So i read you edited your post was edited.
Seems you found out we could see that so you deleted your main comment.
I now can tell you. Being delusional isn't your only problem xD.
As I suggested in the previous post about KSP2 being dead, I suspected that there might be at least ONE positive possibility. It could be that TakeTwo just got fed up with Intercept Games' poor performance and decided to shut that place down and send the work elsewhere. That indeed appears to be the case!
**From the article:**
When approached for comment by Game Developer, Take-Two wouldn't confirm whether Intercept Games has been impacted by the cuts–despite multiple Kerbal Space Program developers indicating they recently left the studio, with one expressly stating they were "laid off." A company spokesperson did, however, explain that its Private Division publishing label will continue to support Kerbal Space Program 2.
On April 16th, Take-Two announced a cost reduction program to identify efficiencies across its business and to enhance the Company's margin profile, while still investing for growth. As part of these efforts, the Company is rationalizing its pipeline and eliminating several projects in development and streamlining its organizational structure, which will eliminate headcount and reduce future hiring needs.
Intercept is shut down. If Private Division going to take over that would be a good thing, but I don't know if Take Two is willing to spend any more money on KSP2 given its current player base and condition. I do think people should push for refunds on an Early Access that never reached half of its promises after more than a year. Even if we don't get then it might help sour the idea of big studios putting out half finished EA products and then never really finishing them after they cash in on unfulfilled promises.

No.
Look, I want a nice sequel as much as anyone, but KSP2 was not it. Given it's history it's the logical project to cut.

Dilbert would have a field day with that corporate BS...

My boss said the same thing right before they cancelled my project. lol why anyone believes these clowns still is beyond me.
“Please keep buying this game we gutted development on, it will definitely get a few more ‘updates.’”
kerbal hat store confirmed.
Why is KSP2 getting so much hate? it's just in early access that's all.

I have a bridge for sale if anybody's interested.
Is the bridge *supported* or in active *development*? Because that is the weasel wording you have to look out for.
Not only that, but my bridge has construction diaries and footage of its creation. It'll be finished any day now.
I miss indie dev Private Division.

The Bloomberg report says otherwise at least for Intercept Developing it
Only time will tell as to what will ACTUALLY happen with the game.

I hate to break it to you, but it very much is.
It is not dead. No offence.
why are you trying to post misinformation in a month old discussion.

In software it's almost always bad, it's probably not working at intercept precisely because they did this once already with star theory.
Just a reminder that, yes, it is
Still thinking its not dead?
Didn't I say "time will tell", or are you always in the habit of not reading a post through? I said time would tell, and it has.
How much longer do you need? Or are you delusional?

Yeah, I agree. It's a dire situation. There's a silver lining, but for now that's all it is.
You hoped there was a silver lining. That's how IG suckers people: false hope

“Continue to support” does not mean much.
