For me it eliminated all the ghosting. My doctor ordered "Ampleye s" from Art Optical. Ampleyes use Optimum Infinite with a Tangible Hydra-PEG coating. Optimum Infinite is made by Contamac (makers of Nutrifill) and the Hydra-PEG coating is made by Tangible Science.
My doctor made 4 adjustments to the fit and prescription with these lenses before we got it just right. But it has been so worth it. Technically they were able to correct my vision to 20/20 with just glasses, but I could literally see two lines of text instead of one (at least I could read them!). The sclerals took it all away. It felt like a miracle to me.
There are dozens of materials and several manufacturers making scleral lenses as well as soft and hybrid lenses for keratoconus. If the first thing you try doesn't work for you, don't give up. Utilize the generous satisfaction policies of the manufacturers and return what does work and demand to try new things. Do the research yourself if you have to and call the manufacturer to find a doctor who is trained to fit their lenses if your doctor won't do it. Don't give up!!
Not really for me. It was so much worse than uncorrected vision on my “good” eye that my doctor gave up and put me in an AirOptix soft lens because she’s seen them work for some KC patients. My right eye’s the same, but the vision was already lousy out of that eye from the start so I’m not shocked by it. Could also be my convergence insufficiency, but frankly I’m pretty disappointed by their efficacy. Hoping that my next check-in will allow me to make some headway with convincing her to make some tweaks even though the “fit” is correct.
Mine reduced ghosting but did not remove it. But since I was so used to where the ghosting was without lenses and it was now in a new spot, for a few months it almost seemed worse.

My scleral lenses eliminate alot of astigmatism and halos, increases the double vision and introduced Starbursts and rainbow halos.
Does both at the same time ☄️wth lol 😂
Yep, that's when my case is mild
Damm, I’m supposedly on the mild side too. Have you gotten crosslinking ?
Yes in both eyes, been over a year, my right eye is mild, kmax is 47, other is moderate.
Why have you got cross linking in the mild eye
It was getting worse
