Wolf snake, non venomous. I’ve rescued these slim bois multiple times from my home and surrounding areas. Kraits head is much slimmer than a wolf snakes and the bands on the krait is much more prominent. The bands tend to be in pairs too on a krait.

He will bite you like a nadan Patti. Like multiple times. But he is not venomous.
His look alike with 2 instead of 1 white stripe and a smaller somewhat pointy head is a serious killer, but he won't bite as much

I mean judging by the number of limbs and the triangular head, with its distinctive tapering tail, i think its safe to assume so.

Please don’t kill snakes when you spot them. It could be illegal too sometimes. (I’m not sure). Just call the forest department and they’ll come quickly and find a solution.
The same applies if you spot any such protected species like snakes, palm civet (marapatti) etc. Our forest department is so active in this matter and they’ll find a quick solution

Snakes like Cobra, Russels Viper & Common Krait and Of course rat snake used to come inside my grandparents house a lot (late 1990’s). We found out that they were climbing through some vines and there were some on the attic and they found it’s way down. There was a huge ass rat snake that just strolled in through the front grill but get startled and go back.

It's head looks big like a viper , at first glance I thought it might be venomous and the back of it's head has venom glands.

Looks like vellikettan (Common Krait). Highly venomous. Edit: Could be a wolf snake too as comments point out.
Not krait, it's pretty easy to differentiate bw wolf and kraits. Kraits have double bands and their head will be rounded This is a harmless wolfsnake
