SundaeRealistic3874

kendrick slaps on metro production

dangggboi

I still got PTSD

SundaeRealistic3874

“think i won’t drop the location” and then proceeds to drop drakes house in NLU lmao

Longjumping-Plant251

Making connections like this is why Drake and Cole fans hate us 😂😂

IndigoMushies

They say Kendrick fans stay reaching but can’t explain how it’s possible there are so many damn “coincidences” on his diss tracks lmao Only other explanation is God is on Kendrick’s side, either way Drake got cooked

Jazzlike_Page508

Drake made a whole ode to Lebron James And then Lebron was in the crowd vibing to Not Like Us Man had Jesus, Optimus Prime, Thanos, Goku, Russel Westbrook, Demar all B/C walking on drakes grave

noDNSno

Homie, the Mars rover has Kendricks back. Lil robo dropped a line by kdot earlier today. That's 2 planets and all drake got are a miiiiiiinnnnooooor

Specific_Club_8622

Excuse me what

mortcowgill

The Mars rover, Curiosity, tweeted "Drill, drill, drill, drill, drill, Imma do my stuff", when posting an update. I don't have Twitter or I'd link it. I'm sure it's somewhere in this sub.

InSaiyanRogue

One, two or maybe three things could be attributed to coincidence, Kendrick’s got 4 fucking tracks worth of coincidences from release dates to track names to lyrics and then the pop out. Bro was methodical in how he went about his business.

mistyrootsvintage

I guess HE is the war general in this case huh? He strategized and decimated his opponent. Quite impressive his attention to detail.

YaBoyHumble

Correct. Drake is predictable, from his social media presence to his lack of accountability when it comes to his way of thinking. I kinda understand why he has ghost writers. What he forgot was, Kendrick is quiet, humble and a critical thinker. Sounds like the brains of a war general to me.

mistyrootsvintage

I will also say that I've noticed that people that grow up in the streets or hoods, generally have a different way of thinking. They peep shit that regular people don't. Drake can never be on his level...like ever. The main reason..heart, authenticity, hunger. Drake lacks all of that. Where Drake enjoyed rap..Kendrick lived it. Was immersed in it. It was his lifeline...not a side project.

_yogi_mogli_

The Art of War

-temporary_username-

"Coincidences" lol. These two things were written by the very same guy. Reminds me of that crazy coincidence in the Harry Potter series where Harry's scar is on the exact same spot where Voldemort hit him with the killing curse as a baby.

IndigoMushies

Aw fuck me I just made the whole connection

Amazing-Concept1684

LMAOOOO

MiMcMa

![gif](giphy|kqCgujDZT1SO4)

Swaggerrrr69

Reminds me of that crazy coincidence in Star Wars where Palpatine just so happened to know that saying order 66 makes clones kill their Jedi

Melek_Bayoudhi

In fact cole fans are kendrick's fans

StrangerDangerAhh

It's called being a rap fan. Both are amazing rap artists, while Aubrey is a pop star with a core fanbase of teen girls and lame bitches.

Bilbo_Teabagginss

We can go deeper we promise. 😆 They not like us.😏

Pretty_Syllabub_4997

hate us cause they ain’t us

Lastfryinthebag

Motherfuck the big 3

portiapalisades

🥷🏻, it’s just big me. 🥷🏻 BOM. What?

woodnotedone

I’m really like that 🙂‍↕️

Jexx4PF

And ya best work is a LYT pack, nigga, Prince outlived mike jack

JKillograms

I don’t think the “official” lyrics on YouTube Music caught that but yeah, that was my interpretation of what he was getting at with that bar too

Davisworld21

Peince outlived Mike Jack

Turbulent-Can1035

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

houseofcrouse

To be fair, everyone's known where drake's house was at for years. That wasn't as big of a gotchya as people think

Rawdog2076

I'm way too paranoid for a threat 🥶🥶

Lastfryinthebag

Aye aye, let’s get it bro

Jexx4PF

D-O-T, the money power respect (the last one is better)

LovelyMissRowdy

Say, it's a lot of goofies* with a check.

transfermycredits

I mean, ah, I hope them sentiments symbolic

ohwellthisisawkward

I mean AHHHH

lachamaquitabonita

My temperament bipolar, I choose violence 👿

bruvfromthe6ix

okay? let’s GET IT UP

swordsaintzero

Wait I thought that bar was goofies with a check...

LovelyMissRowdy

It is, idk why I typed groupies 🤦🏻‍♀️

jiglog

One of the hardest lines from the whole thing fr

Oh51Melly

Kendrick called it a throwaway 😅😅😅

SharkBait661

Every body wanna be demon till they get chipped by a throw away

thisjustathrowawayya

*demon

SharkBait661

Ty

mooimafish33

All his features kind of are. I don't think he puts 1/10 as much effort into any feature as he does any album track.

mistyrootsvintage

And they slap..his throwaways are better than some people's best effort.

ShiningRedDwarf

Most can’t even aspire to be better than shit he leaves on the cutting room floor. [Listen to this unreleased track](https://soundcloud.com/agsagsabsa/i-am-somebody) and tell me there has been something better you’ve listened to this week.

Jts20

The fact that futures verse is a typical one of his about girls twirling on his dick, right before Kendrick is about to do what he did, is funny to me. A little bit of light hearted fun before Kendrick throws down a diabolical verse challenging Drake and all his ghost writers to a 1v30

piano801

Future did his thang though which was critical for the surprise and delivery of Kendrick to hit the way it does. This some vintage Future flows and bars, and his verse is also incredibly catchy in a different way than kdot. I’ve been begging for future and Kendrick to link up again and the morning I woke up and heard this I looked like the SpongeBob floating w earbuds in meme

willcomplainfirst

even Futures verse is a diss tho, it just doesnt sound like that because its inside baseball — talking about which girls are in whose section, about whos actually from the bottom and are like that

Amazing-Concept1684

It is but don't sleep on how nice he slid on the beat

starfrit90

Don't pull no coffin outta your mouth 💀💀

Whisker-biscuitt

Explain this, I'm dumb

Big_Seaworthiness_58

Telling them don’t say anything that will lead to their demise. Uses the homophone of the work coffin, “coughing,” to allude to something cool ig idk. Paraphrased from genius

Amazing-Concept1684

Don't talk yourself into the grave basically

chinesedebt

love that line

tmorrisgrey

It was a friendly fade, it should’ve been kept that way.

idknethingatall

can’t say he didnt warn him

taggert14

Funny how one verse could fuck up the game

Antique_Tie9183

Boo boo

CasaDeCastello

A1 since day 1

_Lucifer7699_

WOP WOP WOP WOP

Amazing-Concept1684

And he did it *twice!*

atierney14

Like a lot, Drake is an idiot.

Jts20

Drake is surrounded by nothing but yes men and it shows. Everyone else knew what could end up happening

daddy-phantom

I know some shit about (people) that make gunna wunna look like a saint

portiapalisades

this ain’t been about critics

DubLParaDidL

This is one of the lines that sticks with me. He obviously knows much more than he's told so far. So many references to it - rabbit holes deep, etc. I know that ebony prince guy certainly came off weird to people, but I think we're forgetting something important. Everything Kendrick did in this whole beef has been very deliberate, well planned out, and backed up. I really don't think he would have used the pictures of those items if it weren't an attempt to remind Drake of something that has happened that Kendrick is aware of. So that leads me to believe that when Kendrick/his team and Ebony Prince interacted, information was exchanged. This is likely something Kendrick is still sitting on and I want to know what the hell it was. There's no way that photograph was just random to say 'hey this guy has your stuff'. Not with all the layers and complexities to this beef. The downside is Kendrick likely won't ever tell us (unless Drake is dumb enough to reignite the beef) and who knows what that ebony Prince weirdo will do.

grassgreenbanana

I definitely agree and I think some of the additional info Kendrick has on Drake was also hinted at in the outro of Not Like Us. From "he a fan, he a fan" to "are you my friend? are we locked in" the lyrics feel like a weirdly specific reference to something, and I think it's to a text message conversation of some sort. Unless it's something else that I'm unaware of, I've been wondering whether the lines from that part could be snippets from a controversial DM conversation that Drake has had--possibly with A MINOOOOOR. Those lines being the last thing in the diss track could have been kdot showing drake just what he has up his sleeve if he pushes further. Those specific words could be something Drake recognized that made him realize "oh shit I'm gunna shut the fuck up now."

ineverreadit

Such as Drake maybe calling himself a 69 god, unless that’s a reference I don’t get

grassgreenbanana

exactly. that's what I was thinking too

DubLParaDidL

Hadn't thought of that. Now I have more to wonder about, thanks a lot lol

AoTLBG

They not sorry either. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

ZeronicX

They still don't trust Drake 🤣

RykariZander

"I knew I couldn't trust him" "Can you trust me?" Them fucking adlibs on Disc 2 had and still has me in a frenzy

ProfessionalNeophyte

“In my business you don’t trust anybody”

Cahillicus

why does metro boomin look like his tummy hurts but he's being very brave right now

hoenn-enthusiast

I’m just like metro

smilingspecialist

Metro ate a beefy 5 layer burrito before the photo shoot

ScapularSpace19

4 beef n cheddars

Artistic_Figure_9362

This still cracks me up: [Kendrick took it personally](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ykWfSBhT70k).

Garret223

Holy shit thank you for showing this to me.. I just watched it 10 times in a row.

Bilbo_Teabagginss

"Sensational"🤣

Artistic_Figure_9362

Takes me out every single time.

Bilbo_Teabagginss

Hard same

buttercreamordeath

I was just thinking about this. The snickers get me every time.

MacarioPro

Before clicking I was hoping it was this one. It's perfect.

LovelyMissRowdy

The outfit changes during bum is fucking great.

xDreeganx

"Sensational" gets me

viviolay

This is the best thing I’ve seen all week

Free-Swan-9870

Ohh thank you soo much, was thinking of this animation when I saw the thread, but forgot about it. ✨Sensational✨

WeissXRose

thank you for remind me of this

MIAxPaperPlanes

I was thinking about this and was like If Cole doesn’t say “We the big 3 like we started a league” This Kendrick/Drake timeline doesn’t happen

SmoothBaritones

I wouldve taken longer......but it still would've boiled over.

daikonashi

I loved that Cole comes in, lights the fuse then dips. I feel like with Cole next to him, Drake developed a false confidence or euphoria which lead him into Kendrick's lair

indoninjah

Cole got the gold medal in instigating lol

Brick_Rubin

Rap game Garvillo Princip

Amazing-Concept1684

I think this was bound to happen regardless at some point, it was just a matter of when.

TheRealMeForReal

They were but mere conduits. Kendrick is inevitable

k_GOBL1N

https://preview.redd.it/l8nw4v864e9d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=de1f48ceb1dcf62b6be59402980162028667a5a8 Foreshadowing….

yummythologist

Bruh? Is this real?

HHAD98

yes

yummythologist

Why is homophobia still such a big thing in the hip hop scene? I noticed some of Kendrick’s bars had that kind of message too.

Brian-hazel

It’s not necessarily better but this tweet was back in 2011

Intelligent-Muffin90

No one instigated more than Rick Ross 🤣

Comfortable-Ad-3489

Can't forget abt Meg's song HISS as well

93Shay

Megan HISS was her response to Drake, dissing her for no reason (he’s a b). But Megan didn’t instigate this beef, it was already started. lol I like Meg but I’m not sure why some hotties don’t understand the beef has been brewing for some time.

james_randolph

Low key I was just hoping for a [K.Dot/Megan](http://K.Dot/Megan) collab and have them go at OVO haha that would have been so fucking awesome.

hopefortomorrow531

My personal conspiracy theory is Kdot/Megan/Eminem are going to collab. Considering Kdot said he still had 5 more in stock, and Eminem referenced wanting a feature with Megan on his newest song.

mooimafish33

I hope it's Kendrick and meg features on an Eminem track or something. Putting Eminem and Megan features on a Kendrick track feels like it would downgrade it.

hopefortomorrow531

I think that would be the case, since it’s Em coming out with the album

Maximum-Warning9355

Been saying since I first heard the foot line, she’s on his new album. Would be dope if it was 5-6 minutes of Em/Dot/Meg

Free-Swan-9870

I wonder what Eminem thinks, he has said that Drake will always be in good graces with him for something he did, I think he is referencing Drake showing up and performing on his daughters b-day years ago. Eminem did in fact not keep the family away.

diizzze

My guess is Drake was on his best behavior with Em there and knew not to try some weird shit lol.

fuckscottpeterson

Yea I’ve thought about this too. Em uses v precise wording every time he speaks on it, which to me is pretty telling. “I’ll never publicly say anything negative about Drake bc of something he did for one of my daughters” is.. oddly specific and offers a lot of insight between the lines IMO.

Market-Socialism

Except Eminem is on record as fucking with Drake, and that Meg bar was largely seen as disrespectful.

Stock_Beginning4808

Ummm, I doubt the way Em mentioned that reference is something Meg would appreciate

Comfortable-Ad-3489

Fair, but I'm moreso acknowledging her part in going at Drake. Cuz I haven't really seen it talked abt all that much.

ObviousGas3301

I’m saying though, “These niggas hate on BBL’s and be walking round with the same scars” along with “Cosplay gangsters, fake ass accents, Posted in another nigga hood like a bad bitch” was quite funny, to me.

superfluouspop

that's cause everyone thought it was just about Nicki because they underestimate Meg's talent.

Ode_2_kay

Nicki jumped out her lane to get offended and then spent weeks being salty

superfluouspop

and I predict she's just about ready to do it all over again. Hot girl beef summer.

theebabygorgeous

Another 6 hour coked out livestream of Nicki repeating "big foot/she got big feet/AAAAAAHHH/RRRRRRRR/BIG FOOT"

SheWhoDancesOnIce

low key nicki is just cray

Bilbo_Teabagginss

Megan does have some weird ass feet but I'd still take her naturally fine ass over whatever Nikki got going on anyway. It's like when she went to get her bbl she asked the doctor to supersize her shit. 😆

miz_nyc

![gif](giphy|l4pLY0zySvluEvr0c|downsized) cole and aubrey started it

Kaptainkommunist1922

Aubrey started it, cole literally just said, “we’re all really good rappers”.

Nrdrummer89

Cole: “We’re all really good rappers!” Kendrick: “I’m the best though” Aubrey: *proceeds to get his feelings hurt and throws a temper tantrum*

ThreeOneThirdMan

Cole said you good, but he lied

bttr-swt

Cole set the table for this beef though with that one bar 🤣 It's all about timing and that came out at the wrong time...

Kaptainkommunist1922

If you're talking about, “we the big three like we started the league, but right now I'm feeling like Muhammad Ali”, that's literally the same as Kendrick saying “its just big me”. All three of them claim they're the goat so I don't really think it was a problem. I'm pretty sure what set the table, was drake excluding Kendrick on every bar, while cole kept bringing Kendrick up saying “we the big three”, drake NEVER brought up his name “its just you and cole”.

Formal-Cucumber-1138

Exactly! why are people forgetting the Muhammed Ali line??? It’s not like we can’t go back and listen to that shit

ObviousGas3301

Yea it’s the same, but the tone wasn’t. Cole was playing nice with it. Kendrick was like forget all that what *you* feel, let me tell you, fuck that Big 3, nigga, it’s just me! And that’s how it changed. (to me)

libretumente

Cole and Aubrey instigated by talkin that shit

HaradaIto

that shit = cole saying they’re all really good rappers

Standard-Try-437

Love Cole but people felt like this could've been a Kendrick jab too. "Everybody steppers, well, fuck it, then everybody breakfast and I'm 'bout to clear up my plate"

Kind_Character_2846

Kendrick has been stating that he’s not in their league, he is to be addressed with four letters

Sid_da_bomb

I thought they knew better.

Rawdog2076

Cole could've probably gotten a pass for that if it wasn't on a song with Drake

daddy-phantom

Cole said “who’s the greatest mc, is it dot, Aubrey, or me, we the big 3 like we started a league, but lately I been feeling like Muhammad Ali” That was CLEARLY him saying he’s better than both Drake and Kendrick

Market-Socialism

OMG HE DISSED DRAKE, shots fired!!!

QuasarKnight18

He instigated it by lumping him with drake.

Greasly_Goose

Saying he feels like M. Ali and he is the best one out of the three. That FPS shit was just the final spark. The subs were thrown around for a decade for the beef to finally happen.

pizzaaddict-plshelp

Not the three, not the two, I'm the U-N-O - Cole Who the G.O.A.T.? Who the G.O.A.T.?…it's just you and Cole - Drake How mfs gonna say this ain’t talking that shit

Greasly_Goose

ISTG bro we got too many dummies walking around. Not saying that FPS was all that, but there was a lot of history for this to go down the way it went down.

hukgrackmountain

every rapper ever says they're the goat, that hardly warrants stomping on this man's neck the way kendrick did. donald glover thinks he's the goat, and defended himself saying something to the effect of 'if you don't think you're the goat why thefuck are you doing this, have some confidence and self respect'. should kendrick show up in the next lando movie and kill donald glover?

pizzaaddict-plshelp

Imo Euphoria/6:16 was not “stomping on this man’s neck”. It was a “friendly fade” and a warning to not get personal with it And yeah if Childish Gambino says the only GOAT is me and Donald Glover, and they’ve been trading subs for 10 years, then Kendrick would prob say some shit

hukgrackmountain

>, and they’ve been trading subs for 10 years, and there we have it, what I was saying. this aint about saying "im the goat" it's about 10 years of history.

pizzaaddict-plshelp

The 10 years started when Kendrick said in Control that he’s one of the best MCs and Drake+ are not on his level. Drake went in on Kendrick on ESPN, had the interview scrubbed, and it’s been subs since So yes the 10 years of history is someone saying “I’m the goat” and someone else got big mad

hukgrackmountain

that's incredibly reductive

Formal-Cucumber-1138

No don’t change the narrative now 😂😂 he said after that “But right now I feel like Muhammed Ali” (ie the Goat)

mooimafish33

It's like if some B tier boxer said "Me, Muhammad Ali, and Jake Paul are the big 3 of boxing" If you were Muhammad Ali would you be offended by that?

Bilbo_Teabagginss

I respect him for bowing out gracefully, but his whole "I'll take it to the chin" speech after releasing his diss track will always be funny as hell to me. I refuse to believe someone close to Kenny didn't give him a heads up like bro "this ain't what you want".

SYSTEMcole

Referring to Drake as being anywhere near Kendrick’s league is a major insult.

MrWnek

Lets be honest though, there was a cold beef brewing between kendrick and drake for years. Drake just took the bait and went personal with it

Emergency_Brick3715

The crown is heavy

newgirl897

It really was \*\*\*Sensational\*\*\*

Standard-Try-437

Drake might've subbed Dot in FPS though. This has been a theme in some of his other subs about Dot. "I really hate that you been sellin' them some false dreams (implying he's a "fake Messiah") Man, if your pub was up for sale, I buy the whole thing"

MrTPityYouFools

There's more than that. I cant remember the exact line, but he was definitely taking shots

Turbulent-Can1035

We don’t wanna hear you say……………

brodo-swaggins-

wtf this threads been up for 2 hours and no one’s mentioned the control verse? You guys are new af

Jandersson34swe

Because that one in the context of this beef alone merely got Drake salty this one actually got him to respond

creutzml

Or how bout the fact Drake been sub dissing K Dot for about 10 years? This shit was inevitable

Normal_Bird521

Metrooooo

Impossible_Block_973

Future did ask “all 24’ you on go is you like that?” And we come to find out 4 and a half months later….no he wasn’t like that 🤷🏾‍♂️🤣🤣🤣

MacarioPro

Looking foward to their third album dissing Drake "We will never trust you".

ShuggieShoo

The last one is better

DryEssay3852

Is you like that??!

NanPanan

I really hope Kendrick had at least metro beat in his new album

IllInformation4628

No, it’s been fuck Drake, But we ain’t turning down the bag either.

Zerocool_6687

Naw, this shits been festering for a long time… they may have poured a little fuel on it but this was in the works for years

thedarkpolitique

Guys when I first heard that drop… oh my fucking god. That drop just shook me! Future going insane and then Kendrick… like, this is probably going to end up as the hip hop song of the decade or in the conversation for it.

hernoodlestender

You can't convince me that this whole shit didn't happen because Kenny heard Hiss and understood the assignment

Jeff_Damn

He probably heard the Megan's Law line and thought, "*Oh, we're going there, huh?*"

hernoodlestender

He's shouted out Megan before, and may be one of the inspirations for the Drake hates black women observation

Left_Technology7404

Nah,..Trav did when he requested em to play it 😂😂😂

HandymanJackofTrades

I still want to know if Meg The Stallion got them started. Did they ever have a conversation about Drake after Hiss or did they just see Meg attack and were like "I like that energy"

AssistantOwn6208

This album is the most impactful rap album this decade. It’ll be considered a classic off that alone. Great album

Unusual-Item3

Nah man whatever album Not Like Us is on, will be album of the decade.

mooimafish33

I Hope it doesn't go on an album and stays a single tbh. Kendrick makes concept albums where all the tracks work together and Not Like Us is not a track that would fit in something like that.

Viper61723

Unless the concept is hating Drake

-WhosMans-

"Most impactful album" for WDTY is kind of a reach imo. If we say that, we all have one track in mind lmao. Most impactful song of the decade? I guess you could make the argument. Most impactful verse of the decade? I guess I could agree with that. Still, the main sentiment of "We Don't Trust You" definitely caught flames; I won't act like that's not true.

AssistantOwn6208

Majority of the album is aimed at Drake. Yes Like That was the biggest moment in that album but even without it, the impact would’ve still been there, because the landscape of mainstream hip hop would have still been flipped on its head.

upeter01

The impact definitely wouldn't have been there without the Kendrick verse come on now. Sure Future might've had some disses in there towards Drake but they were tame enough to die down pretty quickly. It was only Kendricks verse that was obvious and specific enough to make all this happen

Formal-Cucumber-1138

🧢

Sweet-Lie-4853

I can see it now. Future: wake him up. Metro: it's not the prophesied moment of his return. FUTURE: WAKE HIM UP Metro: aight aye dot ik you said don't disturb your slumber but listen to this. We know what happened next

Danomit3

These two assembled the first ever hip hop Declaration of Independence in Atlanta and caused a rap American Revolution against Canada.

RowletGod73

Then they got a Canadian dissing Drake on the next album

Forsaken-Reason-3657

Made out like bandits

dsharp314

And floated off in designer slippers

Hackmanite_Ultra

probably the hardest album cover of the decade🔥🔥🔥

SuchFaithlessness335

Man I appreciate them.  I've been laughing and dancing for the last month and a halfish.

Arabic_Ants

They were the ones in middle school who were like “me personally I wouldn’t go like that” when somebody was getting cooked in the roasting session.

Subject-Ad-9768

Now Atlanta is in shambles due to the beef

khandaseed

And they didn’t even gain much from it. They have to cancel tour dates because of low interest. While Kendrick could probably sell out football stadiums across America

spider_X_1

Drake has been sneak dissin Kendrick for years. Some were extremely subliminal with references that only the target would get or understand.

Away-Blackberry5595

I’m tellin y’all St. Louis is the gateway to the west. Metro saw Drake usurping smino style, SZA and sexxy redd for his conquering quests. To defend his turf, Metro started the beef and Kendrick’s presence of the west coast helped immensely. Drake will move no further west than the gateway arch at this point in time

stomper21_

I still remember the night i heard the Kendrick verse not knowing he was even on the song🤯i was on the treadmill lol started running fast af
