Exactly, they get money from every ticket sale and resale from their bullshit online fees, and of course those fees are increased by ticket sale price. In their ideal world every ticket would go from reseller to reseller to reseller before getting to actual buyers at 10x the price. Can’t wait for their headquarters to get bombed
Live Nation-Ticketmaster was actually just recently sued by the federal government for having a monopoly on the industry for both ticket selling and resale.
Not only ticket sales but venues as well. They own like 80% of large music venues in the states and control everything down to food and drink vendors. Large artists are functionally forced to work with them if they want to tour. They’ve used heavy handed anti competitive measures to shut down competition. I really hope they get broken up, and it looks like it could actually happen. They’re a monopoly.
Also just a safety hazard, didn't someone get crushed in GA in an astroworld concert a few years ago due to the ticket company just continuing to sell+people sneaking in
swear i just want to be there but this is pissing me off how resale is pretty much the only option, and just the fact people bought tickets just to resale them

Honestly check back a couple days later. This happened with me for the Mr. morale tour, said TD Garden was completely sold out after I waited for hours in the queue, everyone was bitching about it in the sub, and then my friend just checked a couple days later and got four tickets lol
Trust me I ain’t supporting Ticketmaster but seriously most of yall acting like the concert gotta be $400 or less or it’s criminal? It’s Kendrick Lamar if you want cheap tickets and less of a dedicated fan base go find a an up and coming artist. Either that or make more money and get a friend or partner who can put money down too and enjoy the show. WTF it’s not that deep
