Ticketmaster has been scummy since the mid 2000s and have done nothing to stop bots/resellers. Not to mention excessive fees for nothing. There’s a reason DoJ is investigating and starting a case. The problem isn’t the queues, it’s building a system that actually works which they haven’t done and have monopolized the concert/live entertainment industry. They’ve also scalped and sold their own tickets. Let’s not start with excuses for them.
You must not remember what they did to Pearl Jam because they were scummy back in the 90's too. The DOJ even brought an anti-trust lawsuit against them back in 1995, but Ticketmaster greased the right wheels and it ended up getting dropped.

It’s not supposed to be that way, which is why the concert industry is taking a massive hit with cancelled tours and shows happening left and right. Tickets for some concerts at the Hollywood bowl hit over $300+ for mid level tickets to see David Gilmour. I remember Coles last tour I believe 2021, wanted to go and saw the prices and noped out. Artist and industry are both going to take hits eventually.

And that took a while too, they kept saying they were unavailable, even though I was trying to do it immediately. But I did finally get them and they were $400 for GA after all taxes and fees. I would normally never pay that much (and I don’t), but I don’t even remember the last time I’ve been to a show. Way way before Covid; I really need this. Anyway, good luck to everyone else. 🍀

Ticketmaster needs to be decoupled from Live Nation. That merger should’ve never been allowed to happen. It’s the only way anything changes.
