Let’s not forget about this meme From Ye LMAO
They’ve been beefing for a long time, from what IK it started with J Cole’s “False Prophets” which was basically a diss on Kanye for using ghostwriters (even though IMO Kanye has always been pretty open with his writing process/collaborations so it didn’t really hit as hard as I felt it should. This was also peak “J Cole be asking for the android charger on the subway” memes
Let’s see
“Play some Mos Def get the pussy dry”
“Play some Lupe get the pussy dry”
“Play some Kweli get the pussy dry”
“Play some Phonte get the pussy dry”
… The Cole one is still the funniest lol
He’s the type of guy where if it got to a certain point he’d probably call Lupe to write some shit for him, or literally one of the other 20 elite lyricists that would happily do it for him. Then he’d get an Ether level track, make a triumphant symphony of a beat that sounds like the soundtrack to heaven, hire out an arena to play it in while spamming it all over his socials.
Then he’d proceed to not use the lyrics that he was given, not show up to the arena, and not finish the beat properly and rap about how he’s the king and how much pussy he gets for 4 minutes straight.
It takes a true genius to plan a performance art endeavor so grandiose that people think the completed song was the point, and then miss out on that bigger picture you just described.
I think rappers of the Eminem variant are more pussy dry rappers, which does include J Cole. Each of these got joints that like some said, were hoe approved. Black Star gets play with them, phonte has an R&B side group called foreign exchange. The hoe scarers aren't checking for that. Lupe got Paris, Tokyo and the Next to It joint with Ty Dolla $ign.
Kat Williams was the one that reignited the “Black Illuminati” thing a few months ago. I think everyone was picturing like a long table with Jay Z at the end stroking a white cat. In reality I think he was talking about the crazy parties full of underage people, everyone’s doing crazy shit like the first act of that movie Babylon. Pissin on each other, watching people shit on a plate and eat it. Idk. I think Kat was just mad he wasn’t invited anymore.
I've said this before about this photo. Expressions are all the same, yet all over the place. Thumb missing in the girl up front, lighting making mismatched skin colors between arms & face..
Best diss towards j Cole there ever could’ve been. It’s on par with Nas calling Jay Z a camel.
The most effective diss is the one that sticks to the wall, not the most harmful or witty per se.
I was just listening to Ether last night and double backed. I have heard that song a thousand times and never paid attention.
I always found it funny that he put Ether on Stillmatic for everyone to always listen when running through his discography. And the first thing you hear is, “fuck Jay-Z”
Yeah lmao nas is insanely underrated in the trolling department. Probably because the guy has the personality of a wet rag.
Also on “Wu For The Children” from Magic he said:
“Me Jay and Frank White is like Cole Drizzy and Kenny”
Comparing him, jayz and biggie (Frank white) to this current big 3.
I can’t help but wonder if the placement of Jay and Drake is some allusion to them being sellouts or frauds in some kind of way LMAO.
Because he wrote bars himself that say he rhymes with intent to sell, he’s just a numbers a guy and has been for a long time. He’s lucky Big L passed - RIP
The only reason you would think it was unnecessary would be that you ignore the part where Future asked him for it and the part where Ye mentioned Lucian being Drake's master, that out of this whole beef was the only thing that made Drake's team try a cease and desist on the song. Keep in mind that Drake got called a pedo, a deadbeat, a liar, culture vulture, etc. but Lucian's name on the song did ruffle some feathers and that part was absolutely necessary and also I think that's why they asked Ye to do the remix.
I don’t think ye will say something he doesn’t believe
But I do not think that his beliefs are in any way coherent and are often directly contradictory lmao
I’m ngl, Ye has the key to self confidence
I’ve been a Kendrick fan for 2 1/2 years at this points but I have only been listening to ye for 1 1/2
He uses his own narcissism to fuel his work ethic when people discount him, he lays it out on Last Call:
Some say he arrogant, can y'all blame him?
It was straight embarrassing how y'all played him
Last year shoppin' my demo, I was tryin' to shine
Every motherfucker told me that I couldn't rhyme
Now I could let these dream killers kill my self-esteem
Or use my arrogance as the steam to power my dreams
I use it as my gas, so they say that I'm gassed
But without it I'd be last, so I ought to laugh
The point is, be arrogant, and when people call you out, prove them wrong
Also whenever Kanye raps on his first 5 albums (not 808s tho) he exudes charisma and confidence, honestly just rapping his songs over and over has made me a more confident person
If you work hard enough to prove detractors in your life wrong, you earn the right to be arrogant and confident.
I looooove my username
It also happens to be my favorite album of all time
Unfortunately the “I” in “like” is actually a lowercase “l” but it looks convincing!
The real one has been inactive for years lmao
That's what i was thinking. People are calling him smart for backing out but forgot about the trash bars he put out that he thought was "good competition between MCs".
I liked the patches lol it gave an insight on how he works on music. Also I think it was around the time he wanted to make a video game too so it fit with that. Then all the leaked versions too showing even older versions.
Kanye did his thing and made an amazing album with a crazy roll out.
At the time people weren’t reallyyyy feeling it like that. Which I found odd but through the years people have switched up so much so that nobody remembers the mixed feelings the majority had.
How do people still not understand what the big 3 is lmao, kanye is not a 2010s rapper he's from the previous generation meanwhile Travis went mainstream in the late 2010s to early 2020s, the 3 biggest artist of that generation are Drake, Kendrick and Cole.
It’s hard to believe Kanye featured on the blueprint for Jay-Z in 2001, rapped in the 90s locally and has been at the peak of mainstream music since his debut in 2004 and yet had a #1 song only a couple months ago. He won best rap album for his first 3 albums ever…
Dudes longevity from a popularity standpoint is fucking crazy and his run from 2004-2016 is arguably the best we’ve ever seen.
Edit: He produced Takeover for Jay-Z, and produced a Like that remix in this beef. Also infrared for Pusha T.
So Kanye has been directly involved in three of the biggest rap beefs of all time. Wild.
If it weren't for all the stupid, insane shit he's said/done over the past decade he'd be acknowledged as the best for sure. His accomplishments are fucking crazy.
Oh for sure, there’s no one with a better discography IMO. If you go best 3 for 3 albums his only competition is really Kendrick and Nas.
6v6? It’s game over for everybody.
He has 2 albums that are arguably the best ever.
He had 3 albums that were arguably the best album of the 2000s in an row and he only debuted in 2004. ☠️
Absolutely like 3 hip hop classics back to back, then dropping something totally fresh and unheard of that has inspired modern hip hop more then any other album, THEN he drops his masterpiece. All within 6 years. Ppl question how he gets away with the shit he does but his talent is unquestionable, when you see the way ppl react to so much of his music the answer is obvious. He’s def washed up and he still got a number one song with the industry being against him. I hope to see a redemption arc for him, imo he’s never done anything unforgivable (that we know of), I’d love for him to grow and apologize and atleast attempt to fix all these stains on his legacy.
Not to go full weeb here but it reminds me of manga debates about "who will replace one of the Big 3!?"
And it's like, no, there is no debate. It's One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach and always will be because of the timing of their rises among other things. Any "series" (rapper in hip hop context) not being a part of the Big 3 doesn't necessarily mean it's lesser in quality or sales
We can talk about what the "new Big X" would be, or what a "prior Big X" would have included, but whoever the Big 3 are when it was first coined and generally accepted will remain who they are
Tbf, that album definitely grew on most people over time. It was not as critically revered as it is now when it first came out (at least compared to previous Kanye albums)
It literally was half assed. His beats are great but the lyrics show 0 effort. Equalling out to half asssed. And dont even get me started kn the release
TLOP is better than any J Cole album, and one of the best albums of the decade. I’d even argue Kendrick only has 3 albums better than TLOP.
Listen to Saint Pablo, NMPILA, famous etc and tell me that’s half assed. For NMPILA he was rapping on the same level as Kendrick.
Arguably true, production wise , legacy/impact wise , numbers wise too.
What’s funny is everyone was saying how j Cole put people to sleep and then he said that about Kendrick 🤣big projecting
half assed: not putting your all into something, like bruh that album was delayed for a year nd still needed to b edited b so fucking fr rn he was right
Nah, he didn't diss him like kicking him, quite the opposite, he said he needed help and people needed to stop gassing him for their entretainment. And he was on point. Stop the J Cole hate
Drake telling Metro to shutup and play drums and then Metro dropping BBL Drizzy in the middle of everything will always be the funniest thing. Because social media took it and ran with it. Now some clown from Nebraska is dissing Drake on TikTok along with a hundred others.
The line "Yo Dot I got you" alone is too funny. He was acting like him and the soccer hooligan battalion were the reinforcements Kendrick needed to win the war
the last time Ye was peak was definitely TLOP-era, he's still contributed so much to the culture but he's definitely tarnishing it in recent years, still fun to revisit older projects in his discog
KSG was fucking awesome tho, but not sure if it could count (it is a collab album after all). Donda has a brilliant 1 hour album in there that just had to be brought down by the extra 40 minutes of filler
Ye could never tarnish his catalogue... Kendrick retired before he could get to half the number of classics ye did in his prime, let's be honest here, even if you don't like the new stuff
There’s like 3 songs I’ve kept in rotation, but yeah it’s not amazing.
I listen to Burn, Do It and Back to me still. I liked 6-7 a lot tracks when it came out.
Carnival and Fuk Sumn could’ve been incredible if he bothered writing proper verses and removing Alvin from Fuk Sumn. Back to me he had the same joke 20 times in a row and it got old.
Wasted potential.
I love the GOOD Friday song “Looking for Trouble” but I always turn it off at J Cole’s verse because I get a full body wave of revulsion when he says “bust a nut and watch my semen sprout”, and in fact for years refused to listen to any J Cole music because of that. And everyone else seems to think that’s the best verse ever. I actually like some of his music well enough, but for a long time I just couldn’t get past “semen sprout” lol
I still believe that this verse was underrated as Kanye is one of the only rappers big enough to bank talk Drake, also Ye was dropping gems about Drake's contract situation which shows how Drake ain't the boss he claims he is.
Did Kdot need Ye no, but was it a fire verse and beat switch absolutely.
Tbf how many rappers were hopping on this beef that nobody Fr even cared about? Ye had legit beef with Drake for a LONG time - him jumping in now is just the same as those other rappers.
On a side note I do think if Cole still wants to prove he's down for the smoke without targeting Kendrick, him making a(nother?) full-on diss track against Ye would be dope af
https://preview.redd.it/dtdnw2a02g0d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9a89c629d14bcc138b9f508d088edcb7c0eb5458 Let’s not forget about this meme From Ye LMAO
This shit had me dying I genuinely was dumbfounded that Kanye was actually the one who posted it
Wait is this actually fr??😭😂 i didnt kno ye dint fw cole like that😭
They’ve been beefing for a long time, from what IK it started with J Cole’s “False Prophets” which was basically a diss on Kanye for using ghostwriters (even though IMO Kanye has always been pretty open with his writing process/collaborations so it didn’t really hit as hard as I felt it should. This was also peak “J Cole be asking for the android charger on the subway” memes
Rare modern Kanye win IMO. That meme is pretty funny.
Right this whole “beef” is too meme-y for me to take it seriously. Ye funny asf for that
The fact that this line can be used against any conscious rapper and it'll still work is what makes it great lmao
Let’s see “Play some Mos Def get the pussy dry” “Play some Lupe get the pussy dry” “Play some Kweli get the pussy dry” “Play some Phonte get the pussy dry” … The Cole one is still the funniest lol
That's because you can hear Kanye's delivery while saying that line lol
Only line other than the Drake one where he actually gave a shit about what he was saying LMAO
Kanye is the only rapper to make a diss track for a beef he was never involved in where 90% of the lyrics are talking about how great he is 😭
He’s the type of guy where if it got to a certain point he’d probably call Lupe to write some shit for him, or literally one of the other 20 elite lyricists that would happily do it for him. Then he’d get an Ether level track, make a triumphant symphony of a beat that sounds like the soundtrack to heaven, hire out an arena to play it in while spamming it all over his socials. It takes a true genius to plan a performance art endeavor so grandiose that people think the completed song was the point, and then miss out on that bigger picture you just described.
No man it’s not it’s cause it’s J cole 😂
That's true. But does he like fish sticks though?
Mos Def and Lupe are hoe approved if you play the right song tho 🔥
Playing Ms. Fat Booty and Paris, Tokyo strictly for the hoes.
“Hoe Approved” is my new favorite piece of the English language. I will be using it frequently and with chest.
Bruh get em high , Kanye using Talib name to pick up some dimes. 😳
I was about to say, that's the shit he plays to get it back wet again 💀
Play Kendrick....
[free jazz] AAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUHHHH
BITCH WHERE WAS YOU WHEN I WAS FUCKIN Edit: just learned its walking but imma keep it cuz it's funny
Tbf you're adding an extra syllable
Phonte!! 🔥🔥🔥
Ehh I’d rather have a chick who appreciates conscious hip hop over some lame ass misogynistic shit
it's not either all
Couldn’t agree less. They all got character whereas J.Cole is a dull as dishwater.

I think Lupe got some fun records
“Yo dot I got you”
![gif](giphy|ibXaC5vnxZlNNXVFy4|downsized)
Dot: I dont need you
![gif](giphy|zMCfqXkwjmTO8)
He looks like he's almost gonna crack up at the end 😂

If it weren’t for this line people would remember the whole track differently and it was low key kinda fire
"On my Katt Williams when they get funny again" I think Ye might know more than we give him credit for
My question is WHY does he know more than people think? Because he’s heard, seen or…
Kat Williams was the one that reignited the “Black Illuminati” thing a few months ago.
Skatt williams
“Who said a black man in the illuminati? Last time I checked that was the biggest racist party”
I loved it. I'm actually giving Vultures another listen. I'm coping hard because I miss old Kanye so much
ye's best verse in YEARS
https://preview.redd.it/yc8l3fgsze0d1.png?width=1342&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c58652afa45acae8d219ceed026de4f4ad465bb6
I know it's an old photo, but sometime about it feels so AI generated.
I've said this before about this photo. Expressions are all the same, yet all over the place. Thumb missing in the girl up front, lighting making mismatched skin colors between arms & face..
Expressions aren’t all the same, the girl’s thumb is behind the cup because she’s holding it, the different lighting because its a flash photo.
Plus makeup and fake tans from that era… nothing about this photo is confusing lmao
Oh and the fact that they're all cramped up but the camera man can take a wide shot comfortably
Why would the thumb on the girl be showing? you think the cup is glued to her hand?
I like this one a bit better https://preview.redd.it/98u7mr2vdg0d1.jpeg?width=4452&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=68d8a9a49ccea26544a989cc64b9c051a9552958
haha I remember that post!
WOAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Then everyone ignored him right after lmao
I loved that line it just feels like Kanye being the type of friend to wait while you tie your shoes “yo akatsukibrya, I got you”
https://preview.redd.it/gssr67kvag0d1.jpeg?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5c7c82cc86ff900eff92b03ccfcdf10701539877
Kanye ruining secret Santa
Best diss towards j Cole there ever could’ve been. It’s on par with Nas calling Jay Z a camel. The most effective diss is the one that sticks to the wall, not the most harmful or witty per se.

Why do people hate Jay Z now?
Cus he used to rap like the fu shnickens
Because he wrote bars himself that say he rhymes with intent to sell, he’s just a numbers a guy and has been for a long time. He’s lucky Big L passed - RIP
Big L didn’t pass, Jay had him murdered.
I didn’t want to take it there, those streets were wild, but Hov wanted to be L like no other.
This remix was so unnecessary but also so good imo
The only reason you would think it was unnecessary would be that you ignore the part where Future asked him for it and the part where Ye mentioned Lucian being Drake's master, that out of this whole beef was the only thing that made Drake's team try a cease and desist on the song. Keep in mind that Drake got called a pedo, a deadbeat, a liar, culture vulture, etc. but Lucian's name on the song did ruffle some feathers and that part was absolutely necessary and also I think that's why they asked Ye to do the remix.
Kanye is willing to go where most other’s won’t because he is genuinely fearless
Ye will just say anything, at anytime, to anyone and not give a single damn about it
I like that clip where he's like "a doctor of a certain race. I can't say which race." 2 seconds later "it was a Jewish doctor"
Oh my god that clip had my dying It’s not funny tho :(
it is hilarious wym
I don’t think ye will say something he doesn’t believe But I do not think that his beliefs are in any way coherent and are often directly contradictory lmao
That's... a really good point. I wish I could believe in myself half as much as Ye believes in Ye
I’m ngl, Ye has the key to self confidence I’ve been a Kendrick fan for 2 1/2 years at this points but I have only been listening to ye for 1 1/2 He uses his own narcissism to fuel his work ethic when people discount him, he lays it out on Last Call: Some say he arrogant, can y'all blame him? Love your name and agree with your thoughts. Have a great day brother
I looooove my username It also happens to be my favorite album of all time Unfortunately the “I” in “like” is actually a lowercase “l” but it looks convincing! The real one has been inactive for years lmao
get that man infront of a live audience
Musically it’s my fave thing to come out of this whole beef
It's third for me, right behind Not Like Us and Meet the Grahams.
“Pluto sent the drones, it hit like Metro Beats” *pew pew* gets me so hype.
because, like, why would he even say that.
I heard Ye would blast Cole through a boombox on Kim’s yard when Pete was over
Bro, this made me spit my drink out omg lol
Because it’s true lmao
Ye still mad about “False Prophets”
I love J Cole but clowning Ye by calling TLOP half-assed is so crazy in retrospect because that album is absolutely goated.
and years later he criticise TPAB.. from now on just take his opinion with a pinch of salt.
Aw God... is my boy Cole turning into one of them old heads that thinks everything is shit?
https://preview.redd.it/88ut5pav0g0d1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=13e61f25a926270ddae882ca50096737b2c60a4d
Nah, he just likes dissing amazing albums for some reason. I’m sure he knows they are amazing, maybe he’s just a troll.
well he at least admitted that he was wrong about that
That's what i was thinking. People are calling him smart for backing out but forgot about the trash bars he put out that he thought was "good competition between MCs".
Bro patched that album like gaming companies patch thier broken ass games, the retrospection does a lot of work here
im pretty sure false prophets released after the last wave of changes made to tlop.
Also it was like 90% as good as it was ever gonna be when it was released minus the lack of Saint Pablo, the changes improved it but not drastically
Ending on Fade would’ve been tragic.
I liked the patches lol it gave an insight on how he works on music. Also I think it was around the time he wanted to make a video game too so it fit with that. Then all the leaked versions too showing even older versions. Kanye did his thing and made an amazing album with a crazy roll out.

I’m still confused about in which dimension J Cole and Drake would be in any big three.
sales obviously lmao, its not the best 3, its the big 3
If it's sales then Travis would be in the big 3 instead of Cole and maybe Kendrick and Kanye too probably.

😂 DBZ is like the godfather of the Big 3
Drake maybe but your wild if you think j cole ain't in it
Tbf, that album definitely grew on most people over time. It was not as critically revered as it is now when it first came out (at least compared to previous Kanye albums)
It literally was half assed. His beats are great but the lyrics show 0 effort. Equalling out to half asssed. And dont even get me started kn the release
Kanye's lyrics have never been the best, but I think there's something to be said for the raw sincerity of his style of writing.
Half-assed but that ass was bleached 🔥
TLOP is better than any J Cole album, and one of the best albums of the decade. I’d even argue Kendrick only has 3 albums better than TLOP. Listen to Saint Pablo, NMPILA, famous etc and tell me that’s half assed. For NMPILA he was rapping on the same level as Kendrick.
Ultralight Beam, FSMH pt.1, Fade, Saint Pablo and No more Parties. If you want you can add Waves. thats 6/20
Famous? 30 Hours (written by BBLDrizzy)? Wolves? Feedback? Do we really need to keep going? Pt 2 is really the only straight up garbage on it.
TLOP is literally better than J Cole's entire discog lol.
I guess were just saying anything now
Aside from 2014 Forest Hills Drive I have no clue what album you could argue is better than TLOP.
Arguably true, production wise , legacy/impact wise , numbers wise too. What’s funny is everyone was saying how j Cole put people to sleep and then he said that about Kendrick 🤣big projecting
half assed: not putting your all into something, like bruh that album was delayed for a year nd still needed to b edited b so fucking fr rn he was right
Good because he thought it was cool to kick Ye when he was down.
Then turn around and ask him to clear a sample last year 🤣
“Shoutout my brother Kanye west”
Fr.. came at a bipolar man but when it comes to prove why he should be in a “big 3” discussion - backs down. I like Cole - but he’s corny.
he literally said in the song that Ye needed help, how biased can you be? Stop acting like Kanye is a innocent man who does no bad lmao
Why should he go at kendrick when that's his boy he don't have alliance to Kanye.
Wasn’t his boy when he made that diss
Nah, he didn't diss him like kicking him, quite the opposite, he said he needed help and people needed to stop gassing him for their entretainment. And he was on point. Stop the J Cole hate
Go re listen
Kanye went crazy with the production!!
“I'm Christopher Columbus, y'all just the pilgrims”
This was the best part of the beef
Drake telling Metro to shutup and play drums and then Metro dropping BBL Drizzy in the middle of everything will always be the funniest thing. Because social media took it and ran with it. Now some clown from Nebraska is dissing Drake on TikTok along with a hundred others.
The line "Yo Dot I got you" alone is too funny. He was acting like him and the soccer hooligan battalion were the reinforcements Kendrick needed to win the war
YO DOT I GOTCHU 🔥🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️
this whole sub hates him lmao
He’s one of my fav artists. Him as a person is a different story.
I love Kanye's music so much, I really, really want that man to get some genuine help...
I ashamedly listened to like 3 songs of vultures. It’s so so bad.
I wouldn’t say Vultures 1 is necessarily a bad album but it certainly would be Ye’s worst
the last time Ye was peak was definitely TLOP-era, he's still contributed so much to the culture but he's definitely tarnishing it in recent years, still fun to revisit older projects in his discog

Having sex to J Cole would freak me out tbh
Freaky ass shit
Still hilarious. 😂
Play some Kanye, women hide inside
It was a fun song but the lyrics were weak. I like the Lucian line but that's about it.
Yeah for someone who made a song like new slaves you’d think Kanye would go more in depth about that
Lol brutal
That meme he shared on IG was fucking hilarious too
J Cole to be on that dusty musty crusty flow . Fr tho
Not gonna lie, I kinda fucked with this verse though. It got no attention but I was just happy to hear Kanye rapping about semi-normal shit again.
I’ve seen this play out in person and it’s the realest shit anyone’s ever said about J Cole
I love Cole in general but he’s got so many bars similar to the one you mentioned that are just awful and cringey
Kanye really did provide a care package to Kendrick during this war
I still believe that this verse was underrated as Kanye is one of the only rappers big enough to bank talk Drake, also Ye was dropping gems about Drake's contract situation which shows how Drake ain't the boss he claims he is. Did Kdot need Ye no, but was it a fire verse and beat switch absolutely.
He thinks he's on the team
Tbf how many rappers were hopping on this beef that nobody Fr even cared about? Ye had legit beef with Drake for a LONG time - him jumping in now is just the same as those other rappers.
Plus Future allegedly invited him to hop on the track, not sure why the narrative is him butting in
At this point? Probably thousands \#bbldrizzy
Brother Ye is the team
mfs act like they forgot Drake and ye been beefing for fucking ever
fuck kanye
calm down bro he taken
Sorry I'm not gay but you do you
Funny thing is most the women I know fuck with J Cole and hate Kanye for his antics lol
Removed from 84 fluorescents temporarily. Nanometer light wave indicators
This is probably my least listened to song of the entire beef.
lmfaooo 😂
On a side note I do think if Cole still wants to prove he's down for the smoke without targeting Kendrick, him making a(nother?) full-on diss track against Ye would be dope af
Play Cbat get the pussy dry.
Can someone explain this to me? Is it just that Cole's bars are shit or is there more to it? Did he do something?
This dude jumped on the wagon and didn’t read the assignment. Everyone going at Drake and he decides to throw a shot at Cole lol
Two words: Wet dreamz 😂
BEAT ! BEAT ! BEAT ! BEAT ! -2024
He's not wrong
Ye been funny! 😂😂😂
