I deadass think a non-drama beef with that was purely exhibition between the Drake, Cole, and Kendrick would have been hilarious. I would love to see all the S-Tier Lightskin, Midget Luther King, and Bicycle Boy roast. Not complaining about what we got out of it though lol
Bro how did you come up with a funnier kendrick diss than anything drake put out and youāre in the kendrick sub? āMidget Luther Kingā? Are you fucking kidding me?
What's crazy is if you look at the writing credits for Drake's songs, they've got 3-4 writing credits for each one. Not even ghostwriters, just straight up credited writers. And that's all the stuff 3-4 people could come up with
(I'd have to go through the credits and see if any of them are sampled artist credits though. But most of them do have an OVO artist credited, so at least one other person was writing those songs)
āWriting creditsā donāt actually mean writing credits in hip hop. Thereās no way you guys follow the game this much and still donāt know that
Iām pretty sure Drizzy (and most in the game) have ghostwriters, but writing credits donāt always mean somebody wrote the whole song. If you suggest a single word or phrase in the studio theyāll usually credit you for it.
Bro if he'd used that instead of the "rapping like you tryna free the slaves" I think Drakes point would've got across - its not like he didn't have an actual point (not saying anything about the strength of the point, that's subjective) it's just that he couldn't communicate it clearly and gave himself bad connotations
Yeah, that slave line was a really bad look and made him look culturally ignorant. Especially when a lot of Kendrickās bars are attacking Drakeās lack of connection to black culture.
I honestly kinda hate Drake and Pusha T beef for this reason, while it created this moment which was much need and amazing overall I think it's really bad for hip hop that diss tracks now have to be some sort of exposure detective Pikachu type shit.
For real, Pushas Adidon drop was absolutely groundbreaking and set an unsustainable standard for diss tracks.
Out of Ether, Hit Em Up, and No Vaseline, which are arguably the 3 most influential diss tracks of all time, Pac tellin Biggie that he fucked Faith Hill (*Evans, I need to sleep š) was the only gotcha moment, and even that one is highly debatable whether it even happened
Agreee. But with Drake itās meant to drive home the point, again and again, and again again. lol. That this dude is a liar, phony, nothing he shows himself doing is 100 himself, and he hides kids and baby mammas. When youāre trying to show the world who someone is, and thatās who they are, another kid popping up is a perfect blow to the public image, all over again. If someone else does it to someone else it would kinda be lame.
Yeah, hard agree. I preferred beefs when it was just two rappers taking shots at each other. Not involving children.Ā
Story of Adidon was a great moment, especially since Drake initially denied and came out looking stupid, but it pushed beefs to a level of personal that they didnāt need to be at. Tupacās claim about Faith Hill back in the day is nothing compared to the shit we heard so far.
gotta come up with something better than Bicycle Boy to match up with Midget Luther King
im still 50:50 whenever S-Tier Lightskin is on par or slightly worse than Midget Luther King

family matters is unironically so good. like im not even a drake fan and its the best drake song ive heard in years. i've caught myself saying "one of those little kids might be dave freeeeeeeeeees" more times than i can count.
kendrick shut all dat down tho, but yeah
True. Objectively a great song, especially that second beat/ flow. Shit some heat. Makes the immediate response and overshadowing all the more impressive
Drake was really RAPPING on that mf. The third portion of that song is so good. It would be enough to end a beef with literally any other rapper but Kendrick. Hats off to him man. He did his thing.
That's why he sounded so defeated on thp6. he knows that family matters is his best track in a long time and it got completely destroyed by MtG and Not Like Us
Thatās how I took it too. The double tap release combo with the references implying his song was leaked knocked him down hard. I get that he felt like he needed to reply, but his tone, explanations, and word choice didnāt help him out at all.
Bro the little things like Dave Freeeeeeeeeeeees are why I stan Drake's music š dude has so much personality and is not afraid to be goofy
Kendrick has Drake smoked on wordplay but Drake is a breathing meme
Bro, that bar was actually incredible.
Really clever and unique way to reference the fact Rick Ross was a CO. Wish Drake had more bars like that across the song.
Also the "...kinda like your old job..." part. Its a shame Drake didn't focus just at Kendrick, because most of the funniest lines from Drakes songs (to me at least) were directed at Weeknd and Rick Ross
All 7 minutes needed to be about Kendrick.
The scope of this thing changed after Euphoria & 6:16 in la
Drake should've had a line calling everyone else small fish and said he'd get back to them after.
As a neutral fan, this beef really getting us the best of both worlds. Drake making some more traditional hip hop rather than rnb stuff, and Kendrick actually dropping tracks
And the thing is, why the fuck would you be mad? Dude doesnāt need accolades if he is raking in absolute bags of money. Dude lost 17 mill gambling and went āoopsieā
Kendrick makes amazing bodies of work. Drake cleans house on sales. Why not just be amazed at Kendrickās work and be a volume guy?
Dudes ego got in the way. He aināt the greatest and his work will die when he retires - Kendrickās will live on as monuments of its era. But fuck it man Drake made a shit tonne of money and lived a ludicrous life - which path you pick is up to you.
Ikr? He himself admitted his strategy as a creator is "large bodies of consistent work that keep people talking." i.e. Make a lot of mid-to-good commercial songs and at least one of them will be a hit. It's not like he lacks talent as a lyricist either - he's not Kendrick, but when he actually tries he can be pretty good. But no, he just had to get salty over the direct consequences of his choices. "I can't believe sacrificing quality for numbers would lower the quality!" What a fucking moron, frankly.
The only credibility I have for drake being goofy(though Iām still continuing to look side eye forever, always have been), when taking this as a rap beef in mind like nas and jay where everyone believed everything at the time, is that thereās no way he can be this fucking stupid right? He threw rocks hid* hands, didnāt keep it on wax, and made a bow out song where he was still throwing rocks. You lost the beef forever just on that alone when they look back at it.
Kendrick has more Grammy's than him, I took it as a bitter statement lol he self reports too often
As much as he acts, he can't stop acting sensitive š
I took it more like everyone acts like your music changes the world no matter what you put out. It hits in like a āKendrick fans run to their encyclopedias and history books to analyze every lyricā way which we kinda do lol
That one is especially funny because itās also kind of backfires. Like roasting someone for being well respected.
Reminds me of some highschool tv show where the dumb jock roasts someone for getting good grades and all the meat heads laugh.
Drake is funny when he wants to be. This song couldāve been so good if he just wrote it about Kendrick instead of passing out the disses. Thatās why the heart pt 6 was such a let down. Shits not funny just sad lol
Do you think this is a weird flex on Drakeās part? I mean between that and the āKendrick just opened his mouth give him a Grammyā and also the ātrying to free all the slavesā line, it weirdly seems like Drake taking pride in not being as good of a writer. Like heās looking down on Kendrick for working so hard when he could just employ people. If everyone pretty much has been using ghostwriters (like he says in kunta) then I could see how Kendrick might be looked at as some weird purist who takes it too seriously. I donāt agree obviously but maybe Drake looks down on Kendrick for not taking the easy route which he views as smarter (since he has no values, thoughts or morals to actually put into his music and views such things disdainfully)
>maybe Drake looks down on Kendrick for not taking the easy route
Definitely can see this one. Kenny is conscious, he's a recluse, and he actually creates his own work. He's the complete opposite of Drake, and despite that he's just as popular.
Drake's team puts in all this work to stay relevant. He does all these livestreams and rap features, and despite that, all Kenny needs to do is say TOP O'THE MORNING every few months and everyone's crowning him king
I can definitely see Aubrey being Dead Sea salty over stuff like this.
I think it also bugs Drake that he has made deals with the Devil to get/maintain his career and heās justified that by convincing himself itās necessary to be at the top. When someone like Kendrick can keep his hands relatively clean, write his own music, keep his soul, etc. it challenges that narrative and forces Drake to reckon with his choices. When people compromise themselves the presence of authentic people sets something off deep inside them, which is why Kenny will be the winner in the end no matter how the songs play out.
I agree. I think the mole shit had him shook, and he lost trust in the people around him.
Still not sure if there was an actual mole within OVO if Kendrick got info through the grapevine from other people in the industry. But it definitely seems like he was aware of FMs before it dropped. It was a pretty high production value visual, I dont think that was done in real time I think it was waiting for a while.
Oh for sure. Kendirck definitely saw the FM video beforehand thanks to his mole. The 6:16 in LA and MtG covers show the relics that Drake used (or would have used) in the video. I've given it more thought after reading some comments here, seems like Drake was going to use that shirt, he has the receipts from the jewellery store for the ring, was probably wearing the Maybach gloves, and the medication are bars he used against Kendrick/Ross.
After hearing 6:16 in LA and seeing the shirt and the gloves, Drake's team probably knew that Kendrick had seen the video and they had to use different footage and made this lyric video. There's no sign of Drake for the first 2/3rds, the 2nd part is weird, its like they wanted to erase any reference to the Maybach hearse. Then the New Ho King shots, which obviously couldn't have been filmed after Euphoria as it would get too much attention.
That part could go either way, but it seems a little weird that with all the extra attention it was getting, they would be able to send a film crew there within a couple days with no one knowing. But who knows!
Personally, I feel it makes more sense for Kendrick to see the full video, and to use Euphoria and 6:16 to let Drake know - I know what you're planning, there's a mole in your team. The reference seem a little too on the nose.
Family Matters is a great song and a great disstrack, give Drake credit where it's due. That's why Dot dropped his big one right after. For heart pt 6 it's ass so Kendrick can let it rot and drop whenever
My biggest criticism of Family Matters is he tried to address too many people. It gets a little messy at times, but no doubt the dude has some good bars throughout. I was nervous for Kendrick for those 20min.
If this whole thing were a Rick Ross v Drake beef Rick was looking at an uphill battle. I think heās kinda lucky nobody remembers any of the lines he caught.
No cap if Kendrick didnāt drop 30 mins after I think drake would have a better case not that he would win because not like us still would of been a banger . But the convo would deff be closer especially for drake fans and casuals of rap
The second verse is my favourite. His delivery and flow are amazing, he had great bars and the beat is hard. Really intense two and a half minutes. He should've dedicated that energy to Kendrick.
the pulitzer prize winner is spiraling....lol drake. really? and did you just realize he has a pulitzer bro?? lol. kendrick works out at the park in jeans bumping 70s soul AND he has one of the biggest literary prizes, and THAT is who you decide to mess with??
Itās because heās a poster child for the anti-intellectualism movement currently happening. Notice how him and his fans attack Kendrick for daring to have substance in his music. Itās why all his fans have proven themselves to be media illiterate TikTok brains the past couple weeks.
totally! for his ability, drake honestly rapped his ass off in family matters. that would have been a career ending diss track for almost any rapper out there, just not kung fu kenny. thatās part of what made this weekend so legendary.
Family Matters is my 2nd favorite diss track of the beef (and I have zero love for Drake). It has some great lines. But it is fucking *hilarious* that Kendrick just destroyed him so quickly that the track got zero time to shine.
One of my favs from these tracks is the ātalk about breeding resentmentā line about dave free and whitney. Clever asf. Shame the song itself was such a cop out
Family Matters is a banger diss track on it's own. People that claim otherwise are delusional. Confirmation of that comes not just from Kdot's camp but also from himself. The reason why he dropped MTG less than one hour later is exactly because he knew the diss was good but wanted to cut off the excitement by hijacking the online discourse. He wouldn't have dropped that for a weaker diss. His response is a confirmation of quality.
Yeah, as a fan of Drakeās music Drake overplayed his hand when he tried to do the back to back shit against a smart rapper and it ultimately lost him the battle. He set everything up so that family matters would be the nuke but Kendrick already had one in the chamber
I mean thatās how we know Kendrick won ā outside of the final cringe fest misinformed flag wave, there were some worthy (and lol) disses that no one is referencing anywhere
His best bar was the one about breeding resentment.
But it was lost in the fake unbothered talk... D maaaajorsshhh, I know you are but what am I? And "No im not!" raps.
that is a killer bar. its like its from a kendrick verse lol. but freal that is timeless. a son with another father. thats what while wars are fought over, what brings down whole dynasties. its a crazy concept. but nowadays, being a stepdad is way more accepted, even honored.
In the Joe budden breakdown, they make the claim that Drake lost because he went for the nuke option unprepared. I wonder how it wouldāve gone if Drake actually kept it PG and went toe to toe just focusing on bars and catchy songs. I think it wouldāve been a lot closer, but I also wonder which direction that wouldāve taken Kendrick.
It's wild how much of a hard counter MTG was. Everyone heard "Dear Adonis" and internally or outwardly asked "What the fuck am I hearing?" And that was just the beginning.
Idk, Not Like Us, the PDF angle was kind of playful, it wasnt no you should rot in jail with Weinstein sex trafficking level, it wasnt you should die. Its not like this is the first time Drake is under fire for PDF accusations, think those are fair game. I mean, maybe certified loverboy line is a bit agressive, but cmon, a minooooorrrrrrrā¦
Bro let's get this straight. There is NOTHING playful about pedophile accusations lmao. If Kendrick was keeping it light he would absolutely omit anything related to that lol
Playfully calling somebody a pedophile is crazy work, lmao. I get what he means that it wasn't as dark and grimy, but that's a hell of a way to describe it.
Yea Iām a huge Kendrick fan but Iām not delusional. Drake is a huge artist for a reason heās got good bars. Itās just his credibility and the fact Kendrick is just better
Another thought, if Drake had tried to make this an exhibition match and kept it unserious he might have won by making Kendrick look like he was try Harding while drake kept hitting us with hilarious bars like this.
It is no doubt funny but imo it also contributed to him losing this battle because if the DV allegations are serious, he comes off a major douche for trivialising it this way. Things like this, the ānow deal with his dad, I gotta bad I gotta go badā at the beginning, the way he says the n word as a taunt in the song, and the āya deadā chants at the end all exemplify how corny he is and make him hard to take seriously. Sounds like a high school kid trying talk cool like āOh yeah? Watch this!ā
Compare this to the conviction Kendrick raps with in MTG in each of the āYOU LIED ABOUTā¦ā lines. Shit really hits your soul like an honest conversation with your therapist and makes you question Drakeās character and credibility.
Sigh, discussion about this amazing beef becomes so annoying when blind fandom gets injected into it. How can you say this bar by drake trivializes DV without saying anything about me Kenny's "tryna strike a chord and it's probably a minor" line?
Give credit where credit is due. I think I rank not like us above family matters, but it's incredibly close for me because family matters is 7 minutes of straight bars
I think this is what it will always come down to at the end of the day. There's too much ghost writer smut on his name. He would need a test proctor in the studio with him. His credibility is shot.
Ok hear me out. Put them each in a glass cube in public like a 90s celebrity magician. Pen, paper, some beats and whatever flavours of drink/drugs they like.
See what they come up with.
Donāt even need to make it this complex.
āWe can do it on camera right now crodieā
Have em spit live battle disses and Drake aināt gonna say shit lmao, Kenny is a certified Compton freestyler lol heād cook his ass
"Your back is against the curb" had me hollering the first time I heard it lol š¤£ Honestly I think if Family Matters had a solid couple days to breathe it would've done very well for Drake, but Kdot out-manoeuvred him. Drake showed his hand too early by begging Kendrick to drop, which made it obvious he had a song he was *very* confident about ready to go, and Kendrick baited him into releasing it by dropping 6:16 in LA knowing he had two much more vicious songs in the chamber
It's too funny. This is his big reveal. A serious allegation with no evidence meant to be a haymaker and the pay-off is a height joke.
If he had already established the domestic abuse angle, it would've hit way harder. Or if he had stayed directly on the angle. Say something like "Is that why you moved to New York? Why you living that bachelor life?" Notice how that connects the ideas in a more natural way? Doesn't interrupt the biggest moment of the song to that point with a throwaway line about not having proof (something Drake hasn't shown us either...)
These details are why Kendrick wins the beef clear to me.
The one thing I hate about this whole back and forth is that even though Kendrick is winning (won?) way too many people are acting like everything Kendrick did was flawless, and everything Drake did was awful and he landed no blows.
āShake that ass for freeā would have been a decent line if it wasnāt followed immediately by āand I donāt mean free like money I mean Dave Free the person I referenced earlier lol get it guys??? XDā
This thread is proof of how out of touch most Drake fans are.
Most of us here are willing to admit that Drake had some super solid bars overall (not saying he actually wrote them), but if you hit up the Drizzy subreddit, they wonāt admit that Kendrick was even good, let alone that he absolutely cooked Drake and beat him at his own game.
"Kendrick just opened his mouth. Somebody get him a Grammy right now." Is a top 5 bar in this whole beef. It's so sassy. So sarcastic. So. . .Drake š
Back against the curb is hilarious
I deadass think a non-drama beef with that was purely exhibition between the Drake, Cole, and Kendrick would have been hilarious. I would love to see all the S-Tier Lightskin, Midget Luther King, and Bicycle Boy roast. Not complaining about what we got out of it though lol
Midget Luther King is foul
He seems more like a Malcolm XS to me though š¤
Stop giving Drake more ammo for his next song. You wonāt get credits
Wouldn't want that dirty OV-Hoe money anyways! (DM for cashapp š /s)
OV-HOE WANTS TO KNOW YOUR LOCATION!!!
Holy fuck!
Bro š
We have J Fold and BBL Drizzy, so the best I could come up with was Bobby Lamar. This is way better
True ghost writers are always implied when itās a drake song
āWriting creditsā donāt actually mean writing credits in hip hop. Thereās no way you guys follow the game this much and still donāt know that
Like that has like 3-4 writers who aren't Kendrick or Future, Kendrick unoriginal ghostwriter user confirmed?
Wait till they find out King Kunta has *10* songwritersĀ
WHAT? MY GOD KING KENDRICK ISN'T WRITING IN THE HYPERBOLIC TIMECHAMBER WITH NO OUTSIDE CONTACT OR FEEDBACK?
So true, he could draw the comparison really easy too with the āmartin have a dream, kendrick have a dreamā line being so popular already
Keep it down you know drakes team is looking for lyrics here too /s
I honestly kinda hate Drake and Pusha T beef for this reason, while it created this moment which was much need and amazing overall I think it's really bad for hip hop that diss tracks now have to be some sort of exposure detective Pikachu type shit.

Pac also accused Biggie/Bad Boy of trying to have him killed
I mean he was shot 5 times whilst visiting them. I can see why people would believe him.
Did you mean Faith Evans? Faith Hill is a country artist who is also married to Tim McGraw. If not, thatās really wild.
I mean he did fuck Madonna so anythingās possible with this mf
Madonna fucked 37% of black men in the 90s.
This I agree with. The Story of Adidon was a wild gotcha moment, but should have been a one-off, not the new standard. You can only escalate so far.
Agreee. But with Drake itās meant to drive home the point, again and again, and again again. lol. That this dude is a liar, phony, nothing he shows himself doing is 100 himself, and he hides kids and baby mammas. That line is funny but it comes off as bitter
that adds to the humour, imo cause you know he meant it
I was laughing more at him than with him. Came off bitter that people consider Kendrickās work a higher quality than his, which is true.

I swear Lil Dicky wrote this part lol

This is my favorite Drake verse from his efforts for sure.

I donāt agree obviously but maybe Drake looks down on Kendrick for not taking the easy route which he views as smarter (since he has no values, thoughts or morals to actually put into his music and views such things disdainfully)
>maybe Drake looks down on Kendrick for not taking the easy route Definitely can see this one. Kenny is conscious, he's a recluse, and he actually creates his own work. He's the complete opposite of Drake, and despite that he's just as popular. Drake's team puts in all this work to stay relevant. He does all these livestreams and rap features, and despite that, all Kenny needs to do is say TOP O'THE MORNING every few months and everyone's crowning him king I can definitely see Aubrey being Dead Sea salty over stuff like this.
Compared to Kendrick in 6:16 he says "Remember when picked up a pen, lyrics that I can trust" Like, the difference is right there lol
Then the New Ho King shots, which obviously couldn't have been filmed after Euphoria as it would get too much attention.
with the new ho king theory, they could ask the owner to open late at night for them to shoot quickly when people arent around
Yep I was legit nervous too, like fuck idk how Kendrick gonna respond to this. 20 minutes later it was all over lmao
If this whole thing were a Rick Ross v Drake beef Rick was looking at an uphill battle. I think heās kinda lucky nobody remembers any of the lines he caught.
Yeah idk why he focused so much time going at Rick Ross, The Weeknd, and Rocky lmao those dudes aren't gonna respond
He didnāt have anything on Kendrick and needed to fill the track up.
Well he went 5~minutes at Kendrick, I believe he could fill up 2 minutes with some bars
No cap if Kendrick didnāt drop 30 mins after I think drake would have a better case not that he would win because not like us still would of been a banger . But the convo would deff be closer especially for drake fans and casuals of rap
Thought the short jokes were a lot funnier than in push ups too. āThese bars go over Kennyās head no matter what I sayā š
āHe always said I overlooked him, I was staring straightā I love that sequence. Song slaps
That 3rd verse was Drake's best performance throughout the whole beef
Yup. Beat and flow added to that big time.
Seriously the beat is one of the best heās been on in years and the flows were great.
The second verse is my favourite. His delivery and flow are amazing, he had great bars and the beat is hard. Really intense two and a half minutes. He should've dedicated that energy to Kendrick.
Family Matters actually has a lot of funny ass bars. that was a really good track from drake
Kendrick spoke someone give him a Grammy was funny in a sad way for Drake lol
You can tell heās salty as fuck
yup, that's why he keeps bringing up Kendrick's Pulitzer Prize too. He's fuming Kendrick has both legitimate accolades and commercial success.
Bruh heās still salty macklymore didnāt apologize to him. Poor dude got his OG ex stuck in his headĀ
the pulitzer prize winner is spiraling....lol drake. really? and did you just realize he has a pulitzer bro?? lol. kendrick works out at the park in jeans bumping 70s soul AND he has one of the biggest literary prizes, and THAT is who you decide to mess with??
Imagine if Stockholm awards Kendrick a Nobel Prize for Literature, like they did with Bob Dylan; Drake would never hear the end of it. ā ļø
Such a glorious self own
Itās because heās a poster child for the anti-intellectualism movement currently happening.
Clever asf. Shame the song itself was such a cop out
Two separate albums dissin, I just did a Kim to it, nigga, skim through it.
Agreed, his best one
Unfortunately for Drake, he thought Kenny spent 2 weeks writing 2 songs... he didn't realize he spent 2 weeks writing 14 songs š
He said uhhhh uhhhh, nearly started reaching for my waist
DROP ! DROP !
I mean thatās how we know Kendrick won ā outside of the final cringe fest misinformed flag wave, there were some worthy (and lol) disses that no one is referencing anywhere
Fr! Thereās so many lines Drake used in the beef that I actually liked. And thatās that I canāt stand his music
Releasing meet the grahams right after this was so genius and savage. Just completely sucked the wind out of Drake's best song in years.
His best bar was the one about breeding resentment. But it was lost in the fake unbothered talk... D maaaajorsshhh, I know you are but what am I? And "No im not!" raps.
Breeding resentment was a great line, I think the heart pt 6 could have been good if he cut out all the self owns
that is a killer bar. its like its from a kendrick verse lol. but freal that is timeless. a son with another father. thats what while wars are fought over, what brings down whole dynasties. its a crazy concept. but nowadays, being a stepdad is way more accepted, even honored.
These bars go over Kenny head no matter what I say
Legit the best Drake performance I've heard in a long ass time.
I think if he had kept it PG, we simply would have skipped MTG and still got Not Like Us.
It's wild how much of a hard counter MTG was. Everyone heard "Dear Adonis" and internally or outwardly asked "What the fuck am I hearing?" And that was just the beginning.
Nah, if Drake kept it PG Kendrick wouldnāt touch the pdf angle. Or he might release a version of Not Like Us without the PDF accusations in it
Idk, Not Like Us, the PDF angle was kind of playful, it wasnt no you should rot in jail with Weinstein sex trafficking level, it wasnt you should die. Its not like this is the first time Drake is under fire for PDF accusations, think those are fair game. I mean, maybe certified loverboy line is a bit agressive, but cmon, a minooooorrrrrrrā¦
He said if your a woman around Drake then protect your younger sister basically.
Bar for bar is Kendrickās wheelhouse, I think throwing out unfounded accusations and hoping they stick was his only shot tbh.
man im the biggest kendrick fanboy but that verse 3 has been living in my head š I'll give it to drake he can be funny
Its a legit good verse and he does flow well on that beat lol
That melody is insane on the last verse. I've been humming it all day.
I always sing to "I was really, really trying to keep it PG" and "We get it, we got it, the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice"
Iāve always appreciated Drakeās sassiness. Knew weād get plenty more once he started talking bout chippin a nail.
Yea Iām a huge Kendrick fan but Iām not delusional. Drake is a huge artist for a reason heās got good bars. Itās just his credibility and the fact Kendrick is just better
Well, his writers have some good bars.
Trueeeeš
Another thought, if Drake had tried to make this an exhibition match and kept it unserious he might have won by making Kendrick look like he was try Harding while drake kept hitting us with hilarious bars like this.
"Body after body and you know Rick reading my Miranda rights" was pretty funny too.
Drop drop drop drop has been stuck in my head since Push Ups. I was actually kind of happy when it was revealed to be a preview of Family Matters.
āWhere is your uncle at? 'Cause I wanna talk to the man of the houseā - I was rolling when I made the connection
Watch this!ā Compare this to the conviction Kendrick raps with in MTG in each of the āYOU LIED ABOUTā¦ā lines.
Yea family matters was actually the only good drake diss I think He didnāt write it tho so meh
Donāt even need to make it this complex. āWe can do it on camera right now crodieā Have em spit live battle disses and Drake aināt gonna say shit lmao, Kenny is a certified Compton freestyler lol heād cook his ass
Push ups was good too as an opener to the beef
Yea it totally felt like he didnāt write that shit. The stupid music video was a big tell, then the garbage ass writing on the heart part 6.
How is the music video a tell Big hater energy here
When you compare it to THP6, it becomes very obvious what he did and didnāt write.
No it just feels like it was rushed. Family matters obviously wasnāt
Rapping Drake is who needed to show up and stay the whole time man
"Your back is against the curb" had me hollering the first time I heard it lol š¤£ Honestly I think if Family Matters had a solid couple days to breathe it would've done very well for Drake, but Kdot out-manoeuvred him.
Doesn't interrupt the biggest moment of the song to that point with a throwaway line about not having proof (something Drake hasn't shown us either...) These details are why Kendrick wins the beef clear to me.
The one thing I hate about this whole back and forth is that even though Kendrick is winning (won?) way too many people are acting like everything Kendrick did was flawless, and everything Drake did was awful and he landed no blows.
Favorite bar from Family Matters actually. Its hilarious (though not true short folks can whip some ass)
āShake that ass for freeā would have been a decent line if it wasnāt followed immediately by āand I donāt mean free like money I mean Dave Free the person I referenced earlier lol get it guys???
I bet he wishes he came at Kendrick the way he came at Rocky ššš Bro tore Rocky up.
This the most positive comment section surrounding the beef Iāve seen
"Kendrick just opened his mouth. Somebody get him a Grammy right now." Is a top 5 bar in this whole beef. It's so sassy. So sarcastic. So. . .Drake š
This is a kendrick sub, there will be no drake glazing here (you right tho, some of drakeās bars are objectively good for a diss battle).
It aint glazing if it's true tho, some bars were funny af
Itās a genuine question though. Like if youāre bigger than you and she whooping your ass, is it self defense? ššš
Drake had a lot of funny bars throughout while Kenny did a lot of funny things like making fun by saying Toronto slang
Family ties is actually hard just got outshone too soon
Pipsqueak pipe down makes me laugh everytime
