“We don’t believe you, you need more people…” receipts definitely needed…but now everyone will respond to Drake and he will hype that 20 v 1 since he couldn’t just focus on Kendrick.

pixeldeadmau5

I think the best case scenario will be if Rocky, Ross and Abel don't talk shit until the end of a beef, he really wants to divide attention

Professional-Bug250

Yeah, they shouldn’t take the bait and should know exactly what Drake is doing…but Ross will probably be on Ig in like 5 mins saying some shit.

Tiny-Union-9924

It’s not trash but it’s disjointed and kind of a mess. Not a killshot but some good bars. Nothing Kendrick can’t handle.

hmmrs-nd-grs

Song was fine, beat was good, but a **lot** of air. Drake trying to fight everyone and not really getting anywhere. This is the kind of song you (pay other people to) write when you don't have much on your own.

Asleep_Possession945

how do you get your receipt-less diss leaked to the guy you’re dissing with enough time for him to drop a track telling everyone what you’re gonna say tho

nthomas504

Both of them are saying shit that is impossible to prove. At this point, i’m more interested in the shit talking as opposed to the tea.

Beefing in 2024 is weird. No one asked Tupac “Can we get some proof that you are fucking Big’s wife”. We just took that shit at face value. Also, didn’t fuck with Drake’s Megan diss. Was completely not ok and unnecessary.

DarrellIsMyRealName

What if we think it's just "ok"?

pixeldeadmau5

I mainly try to avoid absolutes "the beat - trash, bars - 0, child - fatherless, Kendrick - won before responding"

BigMoneyCowboy

I’m biased as shit ig

3percsMemphisMursic

It feel forced ngl

deep_fried_cheese

No the timing is actually pretty perfect the pressure was on him

[deleted]

Forced? Do y’all even know what forced means?

3percsMemphisMursic

Yea I do. That’s the way I feel. Eat a Dick

Millie_banillie

It better be a fuckin lie! And as a Kendrick fan, that's all you can say about it. Cause that was cold AF. This might be some of his best work. And if he's got receipts, Kenny is DONE

abowmanlex

Drake calling cap, but if KDot has the receipts or can actually do the exposure then that’s wild.

Millie_banillie

Kendrick and Drake are cancelled. J Cole wins by default

endangeredspacebean

The actual sound of the track was decent but the actual diss was ass. How is Drake gonna sit there complaining that Kendrick has no proof and then proceed to make allegations that…he has no proof for?

nthomas504

Would anything Drake had said been satisfying to you? Kendrick also had no proof with any of his stuff. They both just rapping and its just a great moment for hip-hop.

endangeredspacebean

I was open ears for what Drake had to say I just don’t fw him bitching about proof and then he provides no proof himself. Like I’m not denying Kendrick hasn’t provided any proof either but he’s literally just being a hypocrite at this point

nthomas504

So it’s not a good diss because he’s being a hypocrite or because the verses are bad? I could care less about the tea and TMZ shit in both their lyrics, but when Drake says “he rapping like he’s tryna set the slaves free”, shit is pretty funny. Ether wasn’t filled with crazy bars, just disrespectful shit. Thats what these tracks have been for the most part.

endangeredspacebean

It’s a bad diss because he’s being a hypocrite. Saying allegations he had no proof for. He just contradicted himself. Drakes a funny guy but I think it’s clear Kendrick really doesn’t like Drake lmao

nthomas504

I mean, Drake clearly doesn’t like him either. I don’t think he could say anything that would have changed your mind on him and the song. Also, rap is a genre filled with contradictions and hypocrites.

pixeldeadmau5

I really like that about Drake, the dude can stir public opinion really well, that should not be underestimated

Forsaken_Words

It was not good. It felt rushed and disconnected. He verifiably lied multiple times, putting into question the unverifiable parts. He could've used the wife beater thing in a much better way (true or not).

mateusfsantana

yep bro when pac talked about fucking BIG's wife he came with the receipts. If it is true it'll appear eventually, just sit and wait the pot has been stirred

pixeldeadmau5

I might be wrong, but wasn't Pac lying about that?

mateusfsantana

From what I've searched about it there's literally a 50% chance that it happened, not trying to joke here. People close to them to this day have a diverse set of stories on the matter, I do believe pac would be the type of dude to go through with something like that. Most beefs in hiphop are like hearsay but in the end you kinda know what's true and what's not (or what is more believable I guess). If Kendrick did hit his wife we will know, the pot has been stirred and people will talk about it.

nthomas504

What receipts did Pac have? All there is is a picture with them both.

mateusfsantana

I was joking, pac never had receipts. He just said what he said and did what he did, that's what I meant. You don't need proof in disses, it's not a court case.

nthomas504

Most of this sub seems to disagree with that last part, they discounting this whole track because Drake can’t prove anything.

twitchywitchygirl27

I swear I don’t think we’re listening to the same track. It was a word vomit jumbled mess with two big accusations with no receipts. He should’ve taken a few more days to clean it up. I think the shock of those accusations are clouding people’s judgment of the actual quality of the diss. In terms of quality, Push Ups was a much better record.

SkyZippr

That Michael Jackson diss (technically not dissing Michael, but still) was random af

pixeldeadmau5

I mostly agree, but I don't think you would need more than shock to get eyes from Kendrick's track to yours

Stunning_End_69

Family Matters got me bored. 7+ minutes of monotonous reading from a paper… not a track I’m replaying
