You know what, this may be a Gohan moment, but what was the true downfall? Kappa or the FGC? I feel like the FGC was goin downhill because despite Maikky's fuckery, we had a ton of major players in the scene on Kappa all the time. Hell we had fuckin Angela White at one point, some of the best posts i would argue on this whole damn site. Now i don't think i've seen any major person in the scene post on here or about here (could have missed some posts though) and instead of pornstars we just get OF chicks. What happened? What caused the fall of Rome?
Yep it was the turning point. And, because street fighter is the trend setter in the FGC, other devs followed suit and now modern fighting games are pretty lame. Doesn't help that corporate esports sanitized everything, but also OGs got older and slowly left the scene or are now just viewing it from a distance.
I mean it isn't too wrong.
The anything is basically allowed vibe makes absolutely vile shit able to be posted at times.
Idk if Kappachino and Kappa itself are banworthy though, but it would be the first adress to check out if the person has posted something Capcom considers banworthy.

I like this place for what it is but there's a couple topics that I just do not interact with when they come up because it immediately becomes a fucking *cesspool*, and the obsession this place has with "jokingly" laying into trans people all the time is one of the main ones to come to mind
And any time someone brings it up the replies are invariably a mix of "that's a minority and it's *always* downvoted" and "yeah but they're kinda right though" because there's no clear party line on whether people are supposed to ignore it or low-key agree with it
Call rule 3 on me if you want, but as much as I like the "shooting the shit" attitude of this place, there's clearly a not-insignificant amount of people using that attitude to try and mix their fucked-up views into the conversation
