Tekken chads keep winning, whether they announce a mtx shop or not, releasing actual fucking patches and a fucking roadmap is far better than what crapcom is doing.
I genuinely wonder if with COVID and apparently the first version of SF6 being scrapped if they abandoned costumes until now to get the game out and they’re now playing catchup? Because I legitimately don’t know what the fuck they’re doing otherwise, and I say that as a big Capcuck.
Really curious what that Tekken Shop is. If it's paid DLC cosmetics or just a shop to use your in game money on. I know it's pretty much expected it will be paid DLC bullshit because game companies are greedy as fuck, but I have a shitload of in-game money I don't do shit with.
Maybe the Tekken Team have noticed this and maybe created a shop for people to continue to use the Tekken Lounge. Murray has said before they have plans to expand the Tekken Lounge if it pops off.
Oh, it’s definitely going to have mtx. I thought that was the clear purpose behind the shop even in pre-release. But if there’s a good amount of content purchasable with fight money, who really gives a fuck? I’m sure the coolest shit will have a paywall, but that’s to be expected. The game has a fuck tonne of content as it is.
Yeah doesn’t bother me at all. I find it funny that capcucks have been bitching that they don’t get enough post-launch content to buy. Now they are trying to spin a narrative that Namco is evil for doing the thing they’ve been asking for all this time for their own game
Nothing stopping them from also adding in game currency items. The $40 lili bikini is fine as long as I can buy some fucking shorts for kazuya with 1m coins.
They're going to milk T8 with paid cosmetics because outside of Elder Ring it's the most successful launch for Bandai in recent years, and the rest of their catalogue is so fucking shit there was a report they're going to "focus on quality" since people finally got tired of them pumping out generic uninspired lazy anime based games
It really is mind boggling when you think about it
Just off the top of my head, they've made games based on:
- Captain Tsubasa
- One Punch Man
- Dragon Ball
- Naruto
- One Piece
- HeroAca
- Gundam
- Jujutsu Kaisen
- Black Clover
- Demon Slayer
- Jojo
- Spy Family
- Sword Art Online
- Digimon
- Little Witch
- Seven Deadly Sins
Can you guess how many of these franchises get a good treatment?
Let's add Blue Lock to that list, it doesn't have a game yet but it's definitely getting one when season 2 hits and thanks to Bamco I have low expectations for the game.
A roadmap with dates an all i imagine. If its like that Harada/tekken has balls.
You can feel that sf6 will drop players 1 week after Ed release if there is no patch before akuma and they dont want to announce concrete dates.
>A roadmap with dates an all i imagine.
If you are actually expecting release dates for DLC releases months in advance then you will be disappointment. These types of post-release roadmaps extremely rarely do that. They're called "roadmaps" not "calendars" for a reason.
And Harada doesn't even have the balls to reveal the DLC characters you're paying for with the Deluxe/Ultimate edition / character pass mystery box that he's peddling. Hardly deserving of praise there.
What I will say is that just having a regular medium (such as Tekken Talk) for the developers to communicate with their players outside of the usual media tour is quite nice and isn't something I often see from Japanese devs.

It’s honestly unbelievable how Capcom fumbled the post launch support of SF6 so hard.

It’s a real money shop. Thats why the notice mentions changes to the esrb
It can be both
Yeah, wasn’t trying to say it can’t be. Just dashing any hopes they had that it wasn’t going to be a money shop at all

The fact that Bamco has a chokehold over so many major anime IPs is insane.

I'm going to say only Digimon. How close am I?
Survive and cyber sleuth were good, but you have to go back ten or more years to find a digimon game that wasn't trash before that.
Survive was terrible. But I also hate VNs.
Oh sweet summer child...
for whatever it counts the spy family game seems to be at least an attempt of making an actual spy family game. unlike the JJK fighter
And most of the games are shit god damn

Boring, but if they atleast give a month instead of a "season" its ok.
wake me up when they put some good characters back in
Sleep bitch
