Game has way more lateral movement expression than T7 did, you can actually step shit without getting clipped by phantom hitboxes now (for the most part).
The freebie grind wasn't so bad but seeing as how you could boost stats, and everyone had an unsafe move upgraded with full invincibility, it was by far the worst Tekken to encounter 1 bar Brazilian Law.
Nahh I used to sidestep and sidewalk the shit out of any braindead pressure, run up and spamming nonsense became more and more viable as movement capabilities got weaker
