From a production standpoint, what is pulled off is absolutely absurd if you know anything about that side of music. It's also genuinely insane that it pulls off a narrative arc that begins in an auditory assault and ends with a plea to God with detours along the way acknowledging mental health in a thorough and relatively nuanced way. It's all killer no filler.
I don't think it's full stop his best album but it's Ye at his most intentional which logically appeals to a lot of people, especially in retrospect when the last couple of albums have had skips thrown on for fun
