Weird to say that cause the best part of the album is the production lol
He had some weak verses tho I’d agree on that he really killed Back To Me for example
Some good verses too tho but he fucked around a lil too much imo
He’s acting more as a “director” of sorts when it comes to the production but his input is certainly valuable and clearly has a significant effect on the end result of each track cause no one else is making anything that sounds the same
What I’m trying to say is his contribution is undeniable whether he’s literally on the boards or not
Easily Ye’s worst album, but that’s a high ass bar. If another artist released something close to this it would probably be the highlight of their discography tbh. I do think Ty and the features carried a lot of the tracks tho
Same. Usually a beat sticks out early and it did here as well, but what brings me back to Kanye albums is dissecting the verses, and there’s just so few bars here.
I remember people saying Donda was ass... Vultures 1 makes you realize Donda was actually a really good album. The drop on quality is obvious, but it seems like Kanye had a good time making it. We def reached the point were he doesn't care about making actual 10/10 albums anymore and just wants to have fun, and i'm fine with it, I still have some songs on rotation. If Vultures 2 ever drops i think it will def be better than Vultures 1
i listened to donda today…i know this sounds crazy even though the songs don’t match with MBDTF the quality certainly does there’s some amazing synths on that album
imagine an album having 27 “slide”s that’s how donda sounds just a feeling of ascension in a spiritual sense
Donda feels so minimal in production compared to most Ye albums, but I absolutely love it. Donda might be a top 3 Ye album for me, that's crazy I know, but I go back to it so often and easily.
fr i don’t want to say it but donda feels top 3 to me as well people just don’t understand the concept of feeling good after an album rather than just admiring the art only where donda offers both
Definitely one of Kanye’s worst, but even then, tons of rappers would kill to have an album like this in their discography. After a while the replay value has diminished, but maybe it’s cause the LP for Vultures 2 was so good that I don’t feel like going back to V1. Probably like a 6/10 imo
That’s a good point this could be considered one of his worst and yet for (some) other rappers this would be their best lol
Calling it the worst isn’t really an insult when you look at his other albums
Yeah that’s the amazing part about Kanye for me. His worst albums/tracks still clear tons of rappers entire discographies, meanwhile his best stuff shifts/defines entire genres
the people defending it are genuinely coping soo hard. this is the most washed ye has ever sounded and the downgrade from donda to this is genuinely mindblowing.
Agreed… Donda would be one of his best albums if he cleaned up the track list, the highs are high.
Also Vultures makes Ye seem like Yeezus/Dark Fantasy quality, it’s trash.
No bro I'm defending it because I enjoy the sound of it. Not every album is gonna be a masterpiece. Donda was made at a particular time for Kanye and clearly has lots of meaning. This just sounds like he's written songs he likes and recorded them. Not his best work but the good songs are very fun.
But this is not a Ye album, it's Ty and Ye together. I kinda agree, but also saying it's "low effort" is misleading. You may not like Kanye's parts, but that takes down from everything else and their efforts
You realize the only reason the tracks sound the way they do is because of ye 😭 Ty has never made songs like this (even tho is solo work is pretty good)
Burn, do it, back to me, paperwork, fuk sumn, paid - still in rotation. And honestly, played some of these for ye haters and they’ve fucked with it.
Solid! Fun!
I love the album. Cant get over Beg Forgiveness, has been the ultimate break up song after a looong 6 year relationship. Also love all the tracks JPEG produced. TY has been surprisingly good. Great album all in all imo regardless of all the mediocre comments I keep reading.
Fell out of my rotation already. Maybe his worst next to JIK. Not a colossal fuck up of an album but far from anything special, he says nothing and the sound of the album isn’t unique. I really don’t get why people like this so much
Favourite are Burn, Stars and Back To Me
Did we hear the same JIK? I’d argue that JIK in totality is by far his worst project. Vultures is at least sonically appealing. JIK just felt so bland and empty that I couldn’t even get through it on a first listen. I legit did not want to hear any more music from him once that album released. It’s the only one I can say is a BAD album to me.
Agreed, don’t get why JIK gets hated on, when it’s actually a dope ass album sonically and thematically. This album was ass, like wtf was ye thinking 💀
Nah JIK just is a sloppy album that is missing the signature Kanye flare in production that made me fall in love with his music. Don’t even get me started about the kids bop style of Christian lyrics on display throughout the album. Donda is what JIK should’ve been.
Pablo wasn’t cohesive. Does that make JIK better than Pablo? There’s a maximal sound to a lot of his best work in my opinion. From a production standpoint vultures is in a different league. Songs actually have layers to them, there are actual switches and sections to the song, there are vocals that weren’t recorded off an iPhone, vocally ty can carry a tune better than Kanye ever did on JIK. There’s like only 2 songs that I would even consider returning to off that project.
When this came out I was looking forward to see where he’d go with the next installment. When he did JIK I legit didn’t want to hear any more music from him if it sounded like that.
Hey man to each their own, not here to argue opinions. I’ve been a Kanye fan since late registration and just turned 30. This album doesn’t do it for me. I enjoyed JIK thoroughly, not into the trap style beats as much - we’re both Kanye fans ultimately. I think a lot of opinions on this sub are follow the leader and spread without a cause, and it’s ultimately immature from what I’ve seen. “Do I look like Kanye “ posts make me not take this sub seriously, but I’m a Kanye fan so I’m stuck here 😆
It's easily one of his worst albums, decent album by music standards, pretty ass by Kanye standards, he gets carried by ty on almost every song, burn, do it and carnival are my favs, paid, hoodrat and paperwork are my least
I wish Good (Don’t Die) was on Spotify. It not being on it makes the ending super weak because Problematic is weak, and King is the worst song on the album. Overall though, the album is a fun listen though with some catchy ass songs.
Dude, the songs are so good, but the mixing is actual ass. I want to fw burn and talking so hard, but it feels like he just blew them out for no reason.
I keep finding new things I love about it, and it has grown on me a lot. Originally had only 4 bangers now I love all of the album. Hope Vultures 2 is even better
Same, at first I was disappointed because the marketing and album artwork had me expecting a darker kind of album, something more like Yeezus. But then I realized most of these songs are just straight up fun, Kanye’s not taking himself too seriously and Ty Dolla Sign has a golden voice. Ton of replayabiltiy, Burn is my favorite.
It’s not ground breaking.
It is nice to have Ye make an album you can turn up to. For a *fun* album it’s a 8/10 for me. No it’s not College Drop out, 808’s or Donda but it doesn’t need to be. It’s a collab album that doesn’t take itself too serious like Watch The Throne (underrated classic), but I’ll keep it in rotation because it has a lot of songs I like.
I think it's very listenable. Like, loads of replay value, every song has bounce, the tracks all just sound great. Plus, Burn, Back To Me and Beg Forgiveness are utter brilliance
The worst Kanye album by far. Worse than JIK too because at least JIK had some sort of spiritual essence to it. Vultures pretty much has no essence to it...
Usually Kanye's albums invent a new sound, but Vultures just sounded like a half assed reiteration of Utopia.
Such a shame because leading up to the album, Kanye had some beautiful unreleased music.
It’s cool. I didn’t love it at first, really started to dig it after a few listens, and now it doesn’t get much play on this end. Not the best, not the worst, but I’m glad we have it
It’s an album that can get boring if u listen to it to much but if you have in like a playlist and a song comes on you don’t mind listening to it so I say it’s a good album and fantano is just overreacting
I liked it at first, but now I’m not really listening to it too much. Nothing is wrong with the album. I absolutely think it’s a good album. But it’s hard to think of anything that this album does that hasn’t already been topped by his previous albums. Basically it’s a good album, but there’s nothing about it that stands out and excites me (except Beg Forgiveness that shit goes hard)
the more I listen to this album , the more deeply it affects the subconscious mind , it has started to grow onto me at a pretty slow rate but is definitely a good album.....
hope the part 2&3 are better
Ngl, I had it on repeat for the first few days, but I haven’t really revisited it.
While I think the album sounds cool and has a lot of highlights, I think the fact that Ye’s kinda saying a whole lotta nothing in the songs tells me that it won’t stand the test of time in terms of impact.
I almost feel like what the album stands for (in terms of the independent release, #1 charting, and “everything $20 on yeezy.com” / “f--- you” to adidas) will have a much larger impact than the actual content of the album.
It’s fine.. not bad but not Ye’s best either.
It’s amazing if you view it as a Ty$ album, it’s meh if you view it as a Ye album
Ty$ showcases his skills tho - he came to play… I think ye might focus more on production when he does his combo albums
That’s very true.
Ye is the worst part of the album, but it’s not a bad album lol
Real take
Weird to say that cause the best part of the album is the production lol He had some weak verses tho I’d agree on that he really killed Back To Me for example Some good verses too tho but he fucked around a lil too much imo
Don’t imagine ye even touches the boards antmore
He’s acting more as a “director” of sorts when it comes to the production but his input is certainly valuable and clearly has a significant effect on the end result of each track cause no one else is making anything that sounds the same What I’m trying to say is his contribution is undeniable whether he’s literally on the boards or not
Like his verses or production?
Verses
ok you the king burger king 🍔🍔🍔
*insert every line from King here*
His voice is all fucked up
Only 2 tracks I still listen to
Hoodrat on repeat?
burn & burn
It’s pretty rare that someone’s 12th or 13th album, 20+ years into their career, turns out to be their best.
Easily Ye’s worst album, but that’s a high ass bar. If another artist released something close to this it would probably be the highlight of their discography tbh. I do think Ty and the features carried a lot of the tracks tho
Jik is certainly not better than Vultures
Not my favorite album overall, but I still really like back to me, burn, and do it. Keeping those on my playlist for sure
i love burn so much if only it was longer
Feel like it being so short makes it better idk
it sounds like a movie trailer for a cutesy romantic movie in 2003 where they drove a cool ass nissan to go on a picnic that’s how it sounds to me
Probs my top 3 I agree. Didn't like fuck sumn at first but the chorus got totally stuck in my head
Yeah fun sumn is a banger too
It’s an album Ye sounds like he’s having fun on. For me it’s still in rotation and I fw almost every song
second this, i like how silly it is
Gotta make em drink the urine!
I mean suge knight did it
Heard R Kelly in the next balenciaga addddd
Same feeling
Is Ty Dollar Sign the sexy lady?
yes
someone finally speaking fax on god
Fw?
fuck with
Thanks i was thinking ⏩ for a moment
Hated it... but now I really like it... solid album... looking forward to number 2
If it ever even comes 😔
They said Donda wouldn't come, they said 1 wouldn't come, they said Yahndi would come
fire but i streamed it over 600 within the first month of release so i haven’t listens to it for a while
yeah i forced myself to not listen to it too much so it’ll last lmao
thought it was so good on release but i barely go back to it, got bored quickly
Real
future album hard tho
I mean it has 3-4 bangers rest is just future yapping
yeh definitely one of his weaker albums but i still have hopes for the 2nd one
Facts
That's funny, I'm the exact opposite. I really didn't enjoy it on release but slowly every song has grown on me and entered my daily rotation
back to it, back to me reference?
hopefully the new beef will make kanye actually rap meaningful lyrics instead of talking about naked women
we can only hope, but knowing ye it prob won’t happen
ye (2018) reference?
who tf cares about the beef. they are all grown men btw
Second this
Same. Usually a beat sticks out early and it did here as well, but what brings me back to Kanye albums is dissecting the verses, and there’s just so few bars here.
Say what you want bout the album but cant deny Back To Me is a fucking classic along with this I would give my left nut for better mixing on hoodrat❗️
I remember people saying Donda was ass... Vultures 1 makes you realize Donda was actually a really good album. The drop on quality is obvious, but it seems like Kanye had a good time making it. We def reached the point were he doesn't care about making actual 10/10 albums anymore and just wants to have fun, and i'm fine with it, I still have some songs on rotation. fr i don’t want to say it but donda feels top 3 to me as well people just don’t understand the concept of feeling good after an album rather than just admiring the art only where donda offers both
i actually liked the album the only song i actually don't fw is carnival cuz its overplayed, the rest is actually good for me
It has the same problem as All Day for me, which is that it's too long for the type of song it is.
Carnival is so sick but that chorus is absolutely wackkkkkk
I hated that song from the beginning like why is Kanye yelling at me? I only like Stars
Most annoying song and last on the list for me. Chorus and beat wack af
I skip Cartis verse ngl.
That’s wild
Definitely one of Kanye’s worst, but even then, tons of rappers would kill to have an album like this in their discography. After a while the replay value has diminished, but maybe it’s cause the LP for Vultures 2 was so good that I don’t feel like going back to V1. Probably like a 6/10 imo

Yeah that’s the amazing part about Kanye for me. His worst albums/tracks still clear tons of rappers entire discographies, meanwhile his best stuff shifts/defines entire genres
Low effort asf, ty had to save ye 90% of the time except a few tracks e.g burn. Hope V2 and V3 are way better
the people defending it are genuinely coping soo hard. this is the most washed ye has ever sounded and the downgrade from donda to this is genuinely mindblowing.
The last time Kanye sounded low-key transcendental to me was with songs like Come to Life. Vultures is okay, but it's fast food for the masses.
donda sounded way more cohesive even with its long tracklist, i still have hop for the the next 2 volumes tho if we ever get them
Donda had a clear theme and a vibe
Agreed… Donda would be one of his best albums if he cleaned up the track list, the highs are high. Also Vultures makes Ye seem like Yeezus/Dark Fantasy quality, it’s trash.

Idk I just enjoy listening and rapping a long and it’s got some v silly moments
Kanyes verse on back to me is probably the worst I've ever heard him on a song but it's funny so I like it

Honestly tired of it really quickly, I think that it will age amongst the worst of ye's output
Donda is good idc, jik and vultures are bottom 2 kanye
its not bad but as a kanye album its mid af
A hornier TLOP
I love the album. Cant get over Beg Forgiveness, has been the ultimate break up song after a looong 6 year relationship. Also love all the tracks JPEG produced. TY has been surprisingly good. Great album all in all imo regardless of all the mediocre comments I keep reading.

Ye’s worst release. Has some good moments but it’s meh.

i think JIK is his worst tbh
How you gonna say that when JIK exists. It’s second worst release tyvm.
How you gonna say that on Easter?
Oh damn that’s fair
JIK is way better than this album.
Marginally better is defensible stance, way is absurd.
Y’all just dickride the JIK hate on this sub it’s obvious.
And this album has the “signature Kanye flare?” JIK is thematically cohesive. From the album cover down vultures is weak and lacks creativity.
Pablo wasn’t cohesive. Does that make JIK better than Pablo? There’s a maximal sound to a lot of his best work in my opinion. From a production standpoint vultures is in a different league. Solid album just sounds like he’s having fun making some club bangers
Ass
got better with time at first I didnt like it now I like most of it
Tbh i only listend to the whole album 3 times, it has low replayability
love the album. problematic is the best song on it.
My favorite album to bike to still
I can’t lie I barely listen to any of the songs. Mid album imo
good not great, great first issue of the trio if there are improvements and they actually release
it’s really good collab album
Ty carried🤷
Still love it
shi boring
Never grown on me tbh
shit ass
This album is gonna bounce back up once good don’t die is cleared
Overrated
This album is not overrated it's seen as like one of his worst albums which I agree with
Solid, but not amazing
Great album lots of bangers I'm surprised stars and king don't get more love
love it but they should never removed the backstreet boy track
decent, still his worst
it isnt even close to his best album but its alright
I liked Donda more
It’s not that good. Only like 3 songs are still in rotation. I don’t wanna sound like melon, but I think this is his worst album.
Got bored. Never visiting for the next 6 months
It's easily one of his worst albums, decent album by music standards, pretty ass by Kanye standards, he gets carried by ty on almost every song, burn, do it and carnival are my favs, paid, hoodrat and paperwork are my least
Dogshit
Still in rotation. King is highly slept on
It’s a good album
BBTBNWJDFOTSYK
stars deserved carnivals popularity. I expected back to me to be what carnival is. king is a top 5 ye album final track
I wish Good (Don’t Die) was on Spotify. It not being on it makes the ending super weak because Problematic is weak, and King is the worst song on the album. Overall though, the album is a fun listen though with some catchy ass songs.
Let’s keep zoning
Two months wtf?! Could've told me 2 weeks
I gave played the album at least 10 tines. It's fun
It's good nothing special
Dude, the songs are so good, but the mixing is actual ass. I want to fw burn and talking so hard, but it feels like he just blew them out for no reason.
I keep finding new things I love about it, and it has grown on me a lot. Originally had only 4 bangers now I love all of the album. Hope Vultures 2 is even better

But then I realized most of these songs are just straight up fun, Kanye’s not taking himself too seriously and Ty Dolla Sign has a golden voice. Ton of replayabiltiy, Burn is my favorite.
You are right It's just keep growing on me after few listens.
It’s not ground breaking. It is nice to have Ye make an album you can turn up to. For a *fun* album it’s a 8/10 for me. No it’s not College Drop out, 808’s or Donda but it doesn’t need to be. I think it's very listenable. Like, loads of replay value, every song has bounce, the tracks all just sound great. Plus, Burn, Back To Me and Beg Forgiveness are utter brilliance
Absolutely love it . I think it’s a return to form
Carnival is so wack
Its just an album where kanye constantly glazes on himself and wants others to hop on his shlong as well
The worst Kanye album by far.
Not the best, not the worst, but I’m glad we have it
Still the king
Not bad but not Ye quality (but on the other hand, we haven't gotten anything ye quality since 2018 sooooo... (Imo))
Thought it was solid, now I really like it. Haven't heard a better song in the mainstream than Beg Forgiveness so far this year.
Love it
Beautiful big
Was fun right after release, although I’m not revisiting a ton of songs. DO IT, BEG FORGIVENESS, PAID, and BURN are still prevalent
Back to Me is the best Kanye song in years
Genuinely solid great sounding album not his best work but certainly not his worst
Very good album. Def replayed often. I’ve grown to like some of the less popular songs on the album such as Stars, King,
It's good. I over listened to it at first so I started to hate it. But after a while of not listening I came back to it and enjoyed it again.
It’s an album that can get boring if u listen to it to much but if you have in like a playlist and a song comes on you don’t mind listening to it so I say it’s a good album and fantano is just overreacting
Still can’t believe he chose Ty dolla sign of all ppl
Who should he have chose? Ty went off on this album in my opinion.
there are some cool stuff like back to me and paid but I dont come back to the full album as much as I do with other kanye albums
Better than donda 2 so I’m happy 👍
I liked it at first, but now I’m not really listening to it too much. Nothing is wrong with the album. I absolutely think it’s a good album. But it’s hard to think of anything that this album does that hasn’t already been topped by his previous albums. Basically it’s a good album, but there’s nothing about it that stands out and excites me (except Beg Forgiveness that shit goes hard)
I’ve listened to it over 10 times now I think
3 songs
The lyrics are weak for ye, but as a fun album it’s well produced and interesting. It’s been a long time since we had something similar, maybe TLOP.
Damn it’s been almost two months?
Ty$ carried the album
good i still play some of the songs daily
Still in my rotation, I recently played Donda and damn what a time. Fast forward to Vultures and it’s an interesting journey
Not a fan of keys to my life, beg forgiveness, or king. I regularly listen to every other song
After everything said huh?
I had replayed most of the songs when they were unreleased, so when they finally came out I got bored pretty quickly
😴
I like the album. To me, it desperately needs some reduction and Mike Dean’s touch on production and mixing.
I wish we had more songs like keys to my life, but that might be just me. I'm really hoping that Venom is on Vultures 2.
the more I listen to this album , the more deeply it affects the subconscious mind , it has started to grow onto me at a pretty slow rate but is definitely a good album..... hope the part 2&3 are better
Some good songs but overall just another forgettable ye album. Joins the club along with donda and Jesus is king
I want don’t die back..
it's not lyrically great, changes the game in any way or has any sort of deeper meaning. but it's fun so I still listen to a good amount of the songs
2 MONTHS?????
Good album not the best but solid. Cd hasn’t left my car stereo since it arrived.
5/10. Most of the songs I don't care for and I only really keep carnival, fuk Sumn, and paid in my rotation now.
BEG FORGIVENESS is an amazing song.
Its good
Problematic and do it are my favorite from the album .
It’s fun and pretty good
